According to the Wikipedia Version 11 of the font folio was release on Sept 5 2007. If the Folio was sold with the Guide that would make it a 2007 release. I don't know if the Wikipedia is correct, but I do know copyright dates and dates on the cover of software and books are frequently incorrect. I think publishers think the later dates will make will spur sales and keep the product fresher longer.

The book was published in December 17 of 2007, and has a copyright of 2008, as you can see on the Adobe Press site http://www.adobepress.com/bookstore/product.asp?isbn=0321544722

The book that originally shipped with Font Folio 11 had an all-black cover. The contents of the early version of the book and the current version are the same. The book currently being sold is thus a reprint of the original Font Folio 11 book, but with an updated cover.

Thanks for the reply; agree about book marketing strategy, having been

in book publishing for many years. Just wondering how complete a

portrayal the book is of the current OpenType library. Will probably

buy it anyway.
