Hi there,

I have a Type 1 font which is listed in my Font Folder as "GCRevere". It's a dingbat font, music style. I went to update to OTF and couldn't find it. Now I can't find any reference to it either on the Adobe sites or even just through a general google search (well, it did come up as just "Revere" music font deep down in a thread on the Sibelius forums).

So. What happened to this font? How did its very existence get wiped off the entire world wide web? And has it been replaced by something else?

Since I use it, and can't use it on my MACs, I need to replace it.

thanks for any pointers,

david

Adobe never produced or marketed a font with the name Revere and as such, you won't find it mentioned on our web pages and we can't directly assist you.

You will need to sort out whether any of these fonts are what you had as GC Revere. Note that in font naming, a prefix such as “GC” might actually refer to the font foundry that designed and created the font originally. You also need to be careful because there are many websites posting supposedly “free” fonts which are in fact pirated copies of fonts.

Good luck!

Thanks Dov, I'll keep looking elsewhere in that case.

Got it, it was produced by Graphire Music Press (most of the Revere fonts on line are text). They've been gone a long time...
