Will unsyncing fonts affect documents and websites using those fonts?

I received notice that I am getting close to the maximum 100 fonts that I can sync and was advised to unsync fonts that I am no longer using.

I  have many documents on my drive and a few websites published that are using those fonts. Will they lose access to those fonts or are they safe? Please advise.

Thanks

Hi Jens Peermann,

unsyncing will remove them. You will no longer be able to use them on your websites, in Photoshop, etc... .

Best Regards,
Maurice

Thanks Maurice.

That's very limiting, particularly for my print ads. I will have to check Google Fonts to see if that's a better deal.

Well, the Portfolio Plan has to have some limits, so they can sell upgrades to the Performance Plan.

Clearly if you remove a font from your desktop you can't use it in your desktop design apps, website design apps etc. But it isn't clear that this breaks existing web sites (that you aren't editing right now). The process is described as "syncing with your desktop", and having a low limit for that is sensible and practical as having a lot of fonts active causes all sorts of issues. The Performance Plan only gives 200. Observe also that there are 5700 fonts for the desktop and 7500 fonts for web sites. This suggests you can use fonts on web sites without synching them, since that makes 1800 you can't sync at all.
