I'm used to read C style code (i.e. JSON/JavaScript/TypeScript) having the opening braces put on a new line. So, I'd like to set this formatting style in Dreamweaver for having it use that style of formatting when it auto-formats code. How can I do that?

In Adobe Acrobat help, it states that a bullet list's indentation may be edited by opening a "Control panel" or "Paragraph panel". I cannot find one or the other. Can someone please help and provide some screenshots depicting where to click in order to open one of these panels, or how I can simply change a bullet list's indentation? Your help is very much appreciated.

That's strange .. I'm using a fresh installation of PhotoShop CC 2018. No settings changed yet. I'm using the program's default settings. I'd expect the playback speed to increase (= time lapse) when raising the frame rate, and to see the playback slow down (= slow motion) when I lower the frame rate.

You sure put very much endeavour in your answer, but ... probably, due to my lack of knowledge of the English language ... I only read a number of half sentences and a sequence of equally looking images - plus an animation at the end. Would you mind elaborating on this issue again? From what I got from your answer, you are true: I would expect the "frame rate" to be equal to the rate a frame is getting replaced by the next frame. I wouldn't expect the rate to have influence on the number of frames. From my perspective these are two distinct parameters.

After having created a timeline from a number of images, I don't seem to be able to change the default frame rate of the timeline. Whenever I change the frame rate, the number of frames is changed, too. So the playback speed doesn't actually change, but frames are getting dropped: Animation, showing Adobe Photoshop behaviour when (a) doubling frame rate, and (b) halving frame rate. To me, this behaviour is not reasonable. Particularly as I'm losing frames when I'm halving the timeline frame rate (see above animation, part #2). How can I just change the frame rate to accelerate/decelerate my animation and have the timeline untouched otherwise?

While editing a multitrack file I need to quickly rewind to the beginning and In point, resp., to be able to compare two tracks. For this I'd usually use the keyboard shortcuts <HOME> or <Q> (on my Windows machine). However, none of them work during playback. Is there an option in Audition that's activating playhead keyboard shortcuts during playback?

I believe we're at cross purposes here. OLE, i.e. Object Linking and Embedding, does similar what you have described for Word on MacOS: It simply passes rendering of the embedded (placed) PDF object through to Acrobat. It's Acrobat itself that does the rendering within the Word document. Let me show you a short screencast for a demonstration of how Acrobat Pro itself renders a PDF that's been pasted into a Word document: From the video you can see that Acrobat Pro is currently still lacking the implementation of editing a PDF object right from within an OLE container, i.e. the MS Word application. Currently, Acrobat Pro only provides an option to edit the embedded PDF object by launching a separate Acrobat Pro window.

As I wrote before: MS Word for Windows (or better, MS Office) uses OLE to correctly paste objects into its documents. If Acrobat Reader implemented the corresponding COM interfaces correctly, everything would work like a charme. As it does with many other programs that correctly implement the necessary OLE COM interfaces. Please refer to the above hyperlinks I provided for further technical information.

Excellent. Thanks a lot for pointing me to the right direction! (Though, currently, after fiddling around a bit, the CorelDRAW Contour tool seems much faster and more intuitive to me as you can change the contour's appearance by dragging handles. The AI way seems quite cerebral to me. But perhaps this may change over time.)

Migrating from CorelDRAW to Adobe Illustrator I wonder how I can add a contour to an object (i.e. text). In CorelDRAW, to add a 3-step contour to a text, I would use the Contour tool with the following parameters (I added a red ellipse to highlight the parameters I set: The upper row applies a contour to a text object having no outline, the lower row applies a contour to a text object having an outline. It would be cool if any kind of transformation would always be available as a separate entry in the Appearance panel, and thereby removable/editable. From a programmer's point of view, a transformation by its nature is always a non-destructive property being applied to the original object when displaying it. A distortion never is intrinsic. This is particularly discernible for text objects. The programming effort for Adobe to show these transformation properties in the Appearance panel and allow them to be reset to "0" or to be edited to any other value by entering decimal values would be minimal, as this internally already happens, only without having the Appearance GUI provided yet. I'd envision something like this: Example 1 - Horizontal shear applied to an object by using the Shear tool: Example 2 - Horizontal and vertical shear applied to an object by using the Shear tool:

Thanks to y'all for trying to help. Unfortunately I transformed the text using the Shear tool, and the Appearance panel is completely empty. So there is currently no option for resetting an object's shear/scaling/rotation values to their original values? Excellent! Moreover, I noticed that when pressing <CTRL>+<H>, the object marker box is also hidden while pressing the <CTRL> key alone. So in combination that's excact what I've been looking for. Thank you, Bill, for this valuable tip!

Can I hide selection markers in AI? I'm trying to change an object's properties, but the selection markers are hindering my sight: Is it possible to temporarily hide these selection markers (depicted in red above) so I can, e. g., change the border's width and see the result immediately, without being required to wade through and endless loop of selecting and deselecting the target object(s)?

I'm migrating from CorelDRAW to Adobe Illustrator. Being a beginner in Ilustrator I wonder how I could convert standard shapes, like rectangles or ellipses, into curves so I can edit a shape's path abundantly. In CorelDRAW, I first create a shape and then choose the Convert to Curves menu item. After that I can edit the curve as if I had drawn a curve by hand: How can I do this with Adobe Illustrator?

No, I'm afraid. As you can see from the first image, no taskbar is visible. So the virtual keyboard can't get activated. I made a mistake when taking image #2: In non-tablet mode, the full screen actually looks like this: Image #1, however, correctly depicts the full screen in Windows tablet mode, having Acrobat Reader hide/cover the task bar.
