Yes, Adobe says CC and CS6 should work on Mavericks, with a couple minor caveats: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1277928

Hi Kartikay, If someone uses the CC direct links to download and install the individual products (as you correctly suggested for the OP), then they can still get future product updates if they also install the CC Desktop App (which is also included on that page). In other words, reinstalling products shouldn't be necessary – just download/add the CC Desktop app to enable and manage updates at any time. Note the direct links are also helpful for anyone who wants to store/keep/make offline/backup copies of the original CC installers, should they ever be necessary.

Hey Crude, you can just use the Adobe CC direct links instead if you like, to download whichever Creative Cloud app you need.

Hi Seth, what was it that finally got it working for you – a different location or a stronger network connection? If you'd like to see if it's possible to have the first two months added to the end of your membership, then you would probably need to ask Adobe Customer Support directly. Note for customers who have slow or unreliable Internet connectivity, Adobe says they will send a Creative Cloud disc/DVD when needed upon request.

Hey Alessandro, very glad to hear you got it all sorted out and thanks for circling back here to let us know. So in the future for any other folks in your situation – customers with slow or unstable Internet connections – getting started by ordering a CC disc from Adobe would probably be the most reliable option.

Hi Astro, In response to your PM – yes, there are the direct download links for the Adobe Photoshop CC 14.1.2/Generator update and here they are: http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cc-direct-download-links.html/comment- page-3#comment-45452 They do require an earlier version of Photoshop CC already being installed on your computer for the patch to apply properly. (And be sure to follow the important download instructions at the top of the main page there in order for the direct links to work.)

Note the CC Packager is only available for the Teams (group/volume) edition, and is unable to be used by Individual members... But happy to say that Adobe listened to their users: When needed due to slow or unreliable Internet connections, customers can now also order Creative Cloud DVD media instead of having to initially download all the CC apps.

Glad to finally got a resolution Anthony, but sorry to hear of all your troubles downloading... The problem is very large files don't do well downloading with http over slower and less reliable connections, such as 3G. Even using Wi-Fi is sometimes a challenge – wired is best whenever possible. Obviously you don't have that option, and saw the pain and expense of trying a 6GB file over 3G without success. The kicker is that even if it had completed the full file, you could have possibly still had corruption within the downloaded file because older cellphone wireless protocols are not robust. Heck, there's frequently distortion just with simple voice on the line. We're going to write an article to help publicize the news that you can now get the Creative Cloud with all the Adobe CC apps on DVD/disc, for cases like yours... Hopefully that will help reduce the cases of this happening in the future! Hope you enjoy the new software when you receive it.

Sorry if that's not easy to use Anthony, especially outside of the US... The important things to remember if you are trying to buy the software from somewhere other than Adobe-direct is to only stick to vendors whose names you recognize, and avoid eBay like the plague – there are more horror stories than you can imagine.. Good luck!

If you do a 'download-only' from a retailer instead of Adobe, then make sure it's an Adobe authorized reseller with a name you've heard of...

Hi Anthony, While Adobe doesn't sell DVD's for CS6 anymore, they will however send you a free CC disc with all the applications on it, if you have limited Internet access and request the media... This can save you a lot of Creative Cloud download time and headaches if you have a slow connection.

Hi Xaci, if you're not able to complete a large download from the CC direct links then that is likely an issue with your Internet connection, rather than a problem on the Adobe side... These are large files so definitely make sure you have a strong and reliable (wired) online connection, and not Wi-Fi. Try another browser or computer or connection if you have to. There have been other customers who've had difficulty getting their Photoshop CC to update to version 14.1/Generator, but some have had success applying the patch manually if all else fails – see: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1297439

Now with Creative Cloud, the product deactivation for the old/crashed machine should be handled automatically when you reinstall or move the software... Fortunately it's not like CS where you had to do something about it, or to ask customer service to fix it manually.

Ankit is right, the reason you can't use a download scheduler or other automated method is because the program itself can't follow the very important instructions that are required by Adobe for the CC direct download links to work... You need a human to do that, because you can't train your scheduler to follow third-party instructions before downloading. So as he stated, either you need to do it yourself manually at the time you want (just stay up late to start it, then go to bed while it downloads), or find some other connection or system to download it from during regular hours.

Hi KrisShen, If you get Creative Cloud then you will have complete access to both the new "CC" release as well as CS6 (you can put both on the same machines)... And in addition to being able to go from CC to CS6 as Jeff mentioned, you can also (if/when necessary) save back your files from CS6 to CS5.5. But regardless, there's no way that CS5.5 alone can understand all new features that came out after it shipped (which may be embedded into the file formats)... So naturally the possibility exists of losing some information even if you use the export or backsaving techniques mentioned above.

What is the direct download link? I prefer to download myself Creative Cloud does run the latest versions of the programs called 'CC' (effectively CS7), as well as the option to also/instead use the older CS6 release if you want... And yes there are Adobe CC direct download links that you can use to download the free trials for any application, without the CC Desktop App or any download manager. It's the only way to get the offline installers if you want to copy or use them somewhere else, backup to disc media or copy to flash drive, burn to DVD, use anytime without Internet access, etc.

Maybe you're going around in circles here Terry... Previously, you would use AAMEE to package CS6 applications for deployment. But now, if you have Creative Cloud for Teams, then you can use Adobe's new Creative Cloud Packager utility... However, are you able to use the CC Packager to bundle up the older CS6 apps (as you say you need) instead of CC apps?

Hi Terry, If it's helpful, you can find and use all the original offline installers for all Creative Cloud and CS6 tools (including the CC Desktop App) here: Adobe CC Direct Download Links and/or Adobe CS6 Direct Download Links If you have those files in hand then you can install the free trials anywhere while being offline. In most cases the Internet is used to activate the software longer-term, although Adobe still provides procedures for offline activation: Activate your software offline If the computer on which your software is installed cannot connect to the Internet or to Adobe’s activation servers, you can activate your software offline. For instructions, visit www.adobe.com/go/getactivated.
