Hi Noah, sorry to hear that - it sounds like you've gone through a lot already. But if you're having difficulties with the CC desktop app, then you might try installing the Creative Cloud apps without it by using the Adobe CC direct download links... Just choose whichever creative tool you want there to start with, and see if that works. Sometimes the direct links can help get past when the download manager/assistant installation fails otherwise... They can also be useful for making a DVD backup or reusable copy of the offline CC installers when/as needed.

I know I'm not the only one who looks back fondly on the days of physical media, or at very least downloads that could be burned to physical media. No worries Kloaster – you should just be able to use the direct links instead to get whichever Adobe applications you want and copy/save the offline installers for backup or burn to DVD for later reuse whenever or wherever you want: All Adobe CS6 Direct Links, without the Download Manager or Assistant and/or All Adobe CC Direct Links, without the Application Manager or Desktop App

Right, on Windows you just run the .exe file and it will take care of the rest... (You don't need to do anything yourself with the .7z file except have it in the same folder.) If the first file is not a .exe file, then your browser may have dropped the extension... This can happen sometimes, especially when using IE to download. In that case, just rename that first file to add back the ".EXE" extension, and then run or double-click it to start the process for extraction and CS6 installation.

Hi tanderson, sorry you're having difficulties... If you carefully follow the step-by-step instructions given on the page for these original CS6 direct download links then you shouldn't get any missing or denied errors, and no support downloader or assistant is used. (Note importantly that if you purchased CS6 then your licensing and serial number will not work for the newer CC version.)

Hi Jamie, you're on the right track but if you're having any problems accessing the CS6 direct links then try downloading using a different web browser, computer, or Internet connection... Avoid wireless or Wi-Fi as it can be slower and less reliable than a wired connection.

OK – well if you're not able to download successfully the regular way, then after you reboot your computer you can try the Adobe CC direct download links instead - and just choose whatever Creative Cloud apps you want without the Adobe Application Manager or CC Desktop App... The direct links are also useful if you want to copy or store the core CC installer files, back them up to a USB thumb drive, or burn them onto a DVD disc for offline use.

Hi Dorian, if you're not able to download anything the regular way then try the Adobe CC direct download links instead to just pick whatever you want - hopefully that will work for you... Those direct links will download Creative Cloud apps without the Adobe Application Manager or Desktop App, as necessary. They are also useful if you want to store or copy the original CC installer files, back them up to offline media such as a flash drive, or burn them to DVD disc.

That's right -- and if you want to start over from the top, also run the Adobe Cleaner Tool to clear everything out and then reboot.

Yes, per the rules of the Adobe student discount, you can just put the date (month/year) you expect to be leaving the current school that you're in now, or whenever your current term of study or enrollment ends... That would go for high school, middle school, primary school, etc., plus university or college, as well as post-graduate education.

Well, if you're having trouble downloading Creative Cloud the normal way, then you can use the Adobe CC direct links instead which you may find more straightforward to download. Those links can also be helpful for creating or burning DVD or disc backups, or making copies of the CC installers for offline use as needed.

Steve, it sounds like your browser may have dropped the file extension, which happens sometimes (esp. with IE)... Rename to add an ".exe" at the end of the filename on Windows, or ".dmg" on Mac, and you should be good.

Hey Steve, Make sure you carefully follow the "Very Important" download instructions on that page for the CC Direct Links that Kartikay gave you, otherwise you will get that "Access Denied" message... But if you follow the step-by-step directions, then you should have no problem downloading the Creative Cloud install packages directly. These downloads can also be helpful for creating or burning DVD or disc backups or offline copies of the Adobe CC installers, as needed.

Hi alisamii, When you use the direct links to download CS6, you just need to carefully follow the Very Important Instructions near the top of that page... If you do then they all still work fine, or you can get CS6 via the Creative Cloud pages as described. Note that you can also download the new CC release via direct links as well, and these are particularly helpful if you want or need to make an offline/disc/DVD backups or copies of the CC installer files.

liemfukliang wrote: Is there any offline installer direct download link for trialling Adobe CC? Thank you. Yes, with the Creative Cloud direct download links – which include direct links for the new CC Desktop App for both Windows and Mac OS. You can also remove the old Adobe Application Manager using the CS Cleaner Tool, and then start again from the top with CC... The DDL can also come in handy for making offline backups of the CC installers (like copying to disk or burning to DVD), when or where needed, as there doesn't seem to be another way to do this.

Hi Chino, you may not have the need, but some customers like to have older releases running on the same machine as newer ones - or at least have that option... It can be especially helpful with apps like InDesign where you may be dealing with different version file formats depending on your printer, etc.

Hi Robin, Gene is absolutely right – you have to carefully follow the download instructions on the page for the Creative Cloud direct links for them to work, otherwise you'll get that message... Note that the Creative Cloud Desktop App is one of the CC links given in the table there, so you should just be able to get it that way if it's easier.

Adobe has never officially promised release dates or times in advance, and some of the comments on this thread demonstrate why... Software development doesn't always work on exact time schedules - things take longer than expected, problems crop up, etc. But people get upset if it doesn't come exactly the date and time they expect. June 17th was always an anticipated target date for availability, but no ironclad guarantees from the company. In any event, plus or minus a few hours will make little difference in the long run.
