Alpha Channel support is included in Adobe Media Encoder. If you have the ProRes presets installed (you have to download and install them separately from Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop), you'd pick "Apple ProRes 4444 with alpha".  I use that one frequently. Also, CC 2017 add an Alpha Only option (New features summary for the 2017 release of Adobe Media Encoder CC ); however, since you're using formats/CODECs that support alpha channels, you probably won't need that. -Warren ... How is the drive that you captured the 82.27GB file formatted?  There are some rules about drive format, file format and file size that limit how long/larg a file can be, but  I can't remember off hand.  That could be affecting you here.  For example, an 82GB QuickTime file can go onto a HFS+ drive, but not a FAT32 drive.  Although, if it was strictly drive format issue, you probably would have had a failed capture at the 4GB point. For what its worth: When up-converting SD footage to HD, I've always had better results creating an interim HD file that's interlaced prior to de-interlacing. So, 480i60 source (like DV-NTSC) or 486i60 source (like DigiCAM) is exported to a stand alone 1080i60 file.  Then another pass to de-interlace the 1080i60 to 1080p30. The MPEG2 Media Encoder presets do limit you to either Dolby Digital or MPEG for audio.  It would be great if there was an uncompressed audio option when MPEG2 is set in the Format pop-up menu, but ME assumes that a user who needs Linear PCM will add an Output for Audio Only. Speaking of Audio Only, have you found the "AIFF 48 kHz" preset under System Presets > Audio Only in the Media Encoder presets browser?  It's set to 16-bit, but can be changed to 24-bit (and saved a custom preset for future use).  Just click on the preset name after applying it to your source.  The "WAV 48 kHz 16-bit" preset can also get bumped to 24-bit. Of course, check which audio format that your DVD authoring application supports (Nero, right?). I'm sure that you're aware that you can save directly to a WAV or an AIF at the settings that you're looking for from Audition with no need to go through Media Encoder at all.  In DVD authoring, Linear PCM deliveries are just AIF or WAV files that sync to the corresponding MPEG2 stream.  However, if Nero will only accept a video file and it handles the encoding for picture and sound, you'll need to export from Premiere or Media Encoder with the Format pop-up menu set to a format that supports 24-bit audio (DNxHD, MXF OP1a, QuickTime, etc.). -Warren ... "Show Through Edits" is in the Timeline Display Settings menu.  Look for the wrench icon under the Timecode at the upper left of the Timeline panel (to the right of Add Marker). Frame Holds can be tricky to find after being placed as the Effects Badge ("fx") doesn't change color.  I find it helpful to set a Label color for my Frame Holds and/or add a marker with an extended duration to make it easier to spot in the Timeline. Or if you do your Frame Holds by using "Insert Frame Hold Segment", you'll notice that audio is not included.  Since the clip boundary for the held time span in the Timeline only has picture, you just need to scan your Timeline for audio gaps to locate a Frame Hold. -Warren ... Is your workstation custom built?  It sounds like you have an issue with cooling.  You may not get anywhere until you get that resolved. As far as being able to burn an exported movie file to blank DVD media for storage goes, if you use the H264 format at the Match Source - High Bitrate preset you should get a file that's around 4.5GB.  That's a tight squeeze for DVD-R, but fine for DVD+R/DL (dual layer). -Warren ...
