Gloria, If you send me a link to the spreadsheet as a PDF so I can download I will work with vector. However it seems like your text is so tiny... What is your required width in pixels for the end result.... Just trying to understand the benefit of showing an image with the text so small... what are you trying to convey to the reader with the image? It is just to be used as a Call To Action to support the download request? If this is the case, why not use a button as art with a link below it. The button can read DOWNLOAD SPREADSHEET and the link below the art can include the benefit of the download. For example, Experience how etc etc etc - Anita

Norman, I don't understand the red channel in your description. The earrings need to be full color, just the background is gray. It's for eCommerce online catalog shots.

Norman, thanks. The eyedropper dialog box disappears once the marching ants appear. I can see the eyedroppers before I click and get the amrcching ants selection (PS CC). Here is the image. I have a background layer of GRAY#868787, and a transparent layer where I work the image. I save the PSD file with both layers before I output to PNG. In case the background color ever needs to change I can go straight into the PSD file.

Hi, Is there a way to hold down shift or something to expand the "marching ants" selection? I am trying to eliminate the green background, replace it with gray, and some green reflection is on the jewelry. As a work around I could fill the areas I want to keep with a different color so it's not chosen in the selection, then delete the green marching ants area, then go back and recolor. But, I have a lot of jewelry to do and would like to know the "pro" way to expand the marching ants selection in the Color Range tool. What type of spread sheet, excel or google drive or other, can you output PDF and them crop and resave in PS? Excel allows PDF save. Because PS is pixel-based, I would take the PDF into AI (IIlustrator) and save PNG which I feel is "better" then a JPG for this. Yes PNG can be saved in PS but I feel AI will give you better quality since hopefully PDF will be imported as vector into AI. PS deals in pixels/dots, AI can deal with vector/line or pixels/dots. Alternately, it depends on the size of your screen if you want a decent screenshot. On a desktop there is no issue IMHO.

Silkrooster, thanks -- while looking into mask tutorials (had a hard time, never did find what I need) I did find this video that also mentioned color range, Tricky Cut Outs made EASY and FAST: PHOTOSHOP #76 - YouTube . I set the 868787 to the background color, when the color range selection was deleted I was left with the 868787. It's easy to do and my result is as needed:

Hi, I start with a green background and want to replace it to #868787 . So, it's IMAGE > ADJUSTMENTS > REPLACE COLOR. Use the center eyedropper+ to select the various background shades and then bottom right RESULT box type in 868787. However that doesn't keep it consistent from image to image. TOOL FIRST IMAGE WITH PS BACKGROUND SET TO 868787. VERY FAINTLY PERHAPS YOU CAN SEE AROUND THE EDGES (BOTTOM RIGHT) IS THERE ANOTHER GRAY COLOR, THE IMAGE IS NOT ALWAYS A TRUE 868787. AND SO THE NEXT IMAGE I TRY TO REPLACE GRAY WITH, AND MATCH BACKGROUNDS, IS OFF AS WELL IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION. Thanks for any help. - Anita

Dave, I am going through the Tutorials on line, there are several, but I don't see an Adobe sponsored one. If there's one you can recommend then I'll follow up. Meanwhile, you've given me plenty to go on, it's just a matter of understanding the tools. These images need to be 16x20 inch prints on canvas and I want a full range of values and color while holding back the black. The photographer will learn also, but for now I want to jump in and create files for print. Dave, I see it now. Still would have to play around for a while to understand all. Does Lightroom work the same way? The amateur photographer has Lightroom and perhaps should learn these controls too since so much of this balance is subjective. Thank you!!

Dave, Do you mean under the menu ADJUSTMENTS -- brightness, levels, etc? I just want to eliminate black overall, not change the other color values automatically as I eliminate the black -- which seems to happen when I use these sliders. I did see the image displayed in NEF before importing into PS so I know what the original looks like.

I imported a photo at 100% -- then copied it, and shift-click/dragged the copy to resize it larger. Is there a dialog box somewhere that now gives me the percentage of the photo --- or even it's ppi?

I'm trying to bring in RAW files from a NIKON 7000 (NEF format), which I am able to do, but only at 16.4 x 10.8 at 300ppi. This is no different then bringing in a JPG at 16.4 x 10.8 at 300ppi --- I was hoping the camera's RAW file would be much larger so I can output a 24 x 30 print. I need the image to be 300ppi at whatever size I want to output, in this case 24" x 30" at 300ppi. What am I missing regarding RAW files, can this print size be done? I suppose I can add pixels but I am really hoping to capture more from a RAW file.

ID easily accepts video, but I'm wondering how practical it is when at least 50% of viewers will be on mobile. Does anyone have experience or advice? I want to create a downloadable sales brochure that could also be used as an emailed PDF attachment. Or, I could take a shot of the video and fake a video play button that would link them to the website video. I don't want a blank space on brochure where the video should be.

I've followed directions (? -- Add fonts to your desktop from Typekit ) but don't see the font in my ID font menu choices. Can't figure out what to fix. It's sync'ed as shown in screen shot below, just don't see it in my ID CC 2017 available fonts. Alternately, if it's even do-able, does anyone download fonts and load them through Font Book? Font will be needed for both website and print brochure, right now trying to use for brochure.

Eternal Warrior, It's a 36 page document -- I can edit minor changes in Acrobat, but what if the pages reflow... and I need to update footer/folio section globally. It seems the paid for plug in, PDF2ID, is the best option. But with all the Adobe programs I can't help but think Adobe has a way to do this. Especially that the PDF originated as an Adobe format. - Anita

I just loaded the latest MUSE version, and tried to publish the test site. BC wouldn't let me sign in through MU , I timed out. Then I closed MU and reopened an hour later thinking it might need to be refreshed due to version update. I opened BC directly and made sure I was connected there and in good shape there -- I am. Again though, same problem when I want to upload my MU site. I need a test site up asap to show client for comments.

I want to create a site in Muse (including tablet and phone views) and bring it into BC for eCommerce. The plan is $38 a month which is wholesale. Do we automatically get a monthly commission off of this fee if we sell the site to the client, or do we need to add on to this fee?
