Here is my suggestion how to achieve what you want in Photoshop. I guess you want same shape evenly distributed with same fill on the same shape layer: Crete new shape layer. Use any technique that you know to get the desired shape on the shape layer. I am using two shape layers to cut a hole inside bigger one in the animation below. Ensure that shape path is selected. Press Ctrl + Alt + T then move duplicated path (which will contain and shape fill) Press Ctrl + Shift + Alt + T to repeat operation (copy + move)

Lumigraphics You are right, we do not know much about source images. Later it can be done either way: to use Pixel replacement variable with adjusted images in correct perspective with correct aspect ratio or to use Pixel Replacement variable to place pixels using Fit or Fill method what depends on source images and their dimensions, actually aspect ratio than to run action which will adjust perspective.

Export data sets then run a batch process with action. The first step is to export all data sets as PSD layered files. Record action which will do a modification on layers. Use File > Automate > Batch or Image Processor Pro. Select previously recorder action in the top right corner of Batch dialog, for Source choose Folder with previously exported PSD files using Data Sets. That action will play on each individual file previously exported using Data Sets.

I will try to give you advice: learn to break things down. There are actually a couple of shapes in this composition plus effects and probably blended textures. If you place above example in Illustrator or Photoshop you can trace shapes using Pen tool. Start from the bottom-most shape, for example, and keep adding shapes on top and changing colors/adding styles like Bevel and Emboss. Try to find textures which can help you to quickly get the desired result using blend modes. It is not that difficult to replicate things, it is difficult to create something new.

Try this: Record action with Relative turned on and type some values. After recording action click on modal on the left side of action step: Canvas Size. This will force Photoshop to open Canvas Size dialog when playing action while Relative will be turned on so you need to change values and click OK. Here is sample action I have recorded Relative.atn - Google Drive I have recorded the action with pixels as a measurement unit. You can record the action in some other measurement unit if you are working with inches, for example. And by the way, you can assign a keyboard shortcut to play action.

When you use the Duplicate command (or Ctrl/Cmd + J) to duplicate Smart Object that will create a clone. You can create as many cloned SO layers as you want. Changing content in any cloned Smart Object will automatically update content on all other clones. However, scaling factor is not connected in any way, you can scale duplicated Smart Object layers (clones) to any dimensions what will not affect any other cloned SO.

Trevor.Dennis You are welcome! I can not remember how much time I spent to record actions. Who cares anyway? The free version is simpler based on real-world puzzle pieces bought in our local shops. Later on, I have created and paid version which is creating up to 2000 pieces and it is based on Ravensburger puzzles and my interpretation. In that time I checked everything that can be found on the internet and I bought a couple of puzzles in our local shops. By the way, if any ACP needs actions for 1000 or 2000 pieces just email me.

Multiply is blending mode which you can apply in Illustrator from Transparency panel. In Photoshop you can change blending mode for selected layer from blending mode drop-down list in the top left corner of the Layers panel. Default blending mode is Normal.

What are dimensions of PDF's that you are viewing? It fills space with images when the image has enough pixels, with small size dimensions it does not fills the space. Bridge will not enlarge document or image. From what I see your PDF document is 600x800pixels. Resolution is used interchangeably to refer to pixel dimensions and density (300 dpi for example). If you set DPI to 300 it does not mean it will be displayed as you want it because there aren't enough pixels for application to fill the space without to enlarge document what will result in loss of quality.

A bit confusing request because you are mentioning actual background. Actual background is transparent what is represented with checkerboard. If you want to change checkerboard (transparency) settings then go to Preferences > Transparency & Gamut. I can not recall but if you can choose None from Grid Size drop-down then you will get solid color background, if that's what you want. You can also try to set Grid Colors to the same color to get solid color instead of the checkerboard.

There is another way of doing the same thing with only text variables without visibility variables assigned. You can skip visibility variables what doubles the number of variables and maybe confuse you. It is possible to substitute text on type layer with empty space by typing " " in a column with text substitution variable (you must press space bar between quotation marks to make empty space). Here is how it looks like in data set: TextVariable1 TextVariable2 TextVariable3 " " First quote " " Second quote " " " " " " " " Third quote

There is hope for this task, just keep asking. It is possible to play with visibility variables. Basically, if you want to use 3 different fonts then you must create 3 text layers in your template. Use different fonts for each text layer. Play with visibility to always have only one text layer visible while other 2 will be hidden. I am trying to accomplish that task and it works. Here is example text file with variables. You must repeat the same quote for all 3 layers. Visibility variables will hide two others so only one will be visible. Hopefully, this will help you something. TextVariable1 TextVariable2 TextVariable3 VisibilityVariable1 VisibilityVariable2 VisibilityVariable3 Text to Replace Text to Replace Text to Replace true false false Some Other Text Some Other Text Some Other Text false true false Third text quote Third text quote Third text quote false false true

In case you cannot find a solution here is my suggestion: try what Mylenium is suggesting. It is possible to randomize data using Excel. I was using Excel plugin for similar job couple of years ago. I cannot remember which plugin, here is a link to one that is easy to Google Randomizer for Microsoft Excel That will require your involvement. How much involvement? It depends. I was forced to record a macro to remove empty spaces at the end of lines in .txt files. Good luck!
