I am not sure what exactly you want. You can record step in action to play another action(s): While recording action simply select another action and click Play selection button. Wait action to finish playing. You should see step in your action: Play action "Action name" of set "Action set".

I cannot remember that font size was updating as you are increasing or decreasing font size using the keyboard with text size field in the Options bar. I think that's your assumption based on font list. Did you tried to select text (double click on text layer) then to use keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl + Shift + > or < to increase or decrease font size. Add Alt/Opt to change font size with an increment of 10.

It will work perfect for you unless resolution of placed image/file and document resolution are different. If you have different resolutions (Image > Image Size > Resolution) then you will get downsampled or upsampled placed file regardless of Resize Image During Place turned off. What is going on? If you are placing image/file with 72 resolution in the document with the resolution set to 300 then Photoshop will upsample layer with placed image (4 times: 72 x 4 = close to 300 ppi). Original image/file will remain with 72 resolution but layer or smart object layer with placed image/file in the document with 300 ppi resolution will be upsampled. On the other hand, if you are placing image/file which has set 300 ppi resolution in document which has resolution set to 72 ppi, smart object layer in Photoshop will appear 4 times smaller of what you expect. Original file/image which you can open by double-clicking on smart object thumbnail will open the file in its full size in a new tab. JJMack is absolutely right with his statements. I tried to explain in different way exactly same thing.

There is also option to duplicate group with its content using Duplicate Group command. Here are steps: Select group in the Layers panel. Right click on group and choose: Duplicate Group. Alternatively go to Layer > Duplicate Group. In Duplicate Group dialog choose from Document drop-down list in which document you want to duplicate selected group. It can be any open document or even to create brand new document using New command at the bottom of drop-down list.

I guess that this kind of explanation is confusing you https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001557.htm In Photoshop you are setting bit depth per channel. Many times authors on the internet are referring to total bit depth which is 8x8x8 = 24. It means 8 bit per red, green and blue channel. If author refers to 32 bit display it means 8x8x8 for red, blue and green plus alpha channel.

Couple of things comes in my mind: perhaps problem is because layer mask is selected in the Layers panel. I can not remember exactly but I have experienced something similar in the past. Another thing to address is second sample point which is, it seems, measuring pure white spot which you can not re-color by dragging middle or bottom of the channels point to the right. It is probably better idea to use retouching tools to patch instead of trying to match surrounding colors using curves, even if you limit Curves to only that area. And by the way, 11 x 11 Average is perhaps too much, change from Sample Size drop down list to 3x3 Average, for example.

I will try my hands to give you technical explanation. When you move right slider to the left you are setting some grays as lightest portion in black channel or in other words you are lightening grays. When Photoshop re-calculate pixels with new range then you will get dark portion to appear lighter. If you want to darken pixels on your image (from histogram you can see that darkest gray and black does not exist) on your image then you should drag left slider to the right and to set some dark grays as darkest pixels. You can also darken black channel by dragging middle slider to the right or in other words to set some lighter gray to middle gray.
