Multiply is blending mode which you can apply in Illustrator from Transparency panel. In Photoshop you can change blending mode for selected layer from blending mode drop-down list in the top left corner of the Layers panel. Default blending mode is Normal.

Not that difficult task. Use Ctrl + Alt + A to select all layers beside Background layer (if its present). Press Ctrl + G to group them then go to Filter > Convert for Smart Filters. Stop recording action. Here is sample action Convert all layers to SM.atn - Google Drive Is that what you want?

You can read on the internet that Photoshop is expensive and cost $50/mo. You can read statements like this on very popular sites like Quora, for example. Photoshop is actually cheaper than ever. Adobe is offering Photography plan for $9.99/mo where Photoshop and Lightroom are packed together. Here is link to check plans Creative Cloud pricing and membership plans | Adobe Creative Cloud

What are dimensions of PDF's that you are viewing? It fills space with images when the image has enough pixels, with small size dimensions it does not fills the space. Bridge will not enlarge document or image. From what I see your PDF document is 600x800pixels. Resolution is used interchangeably to refer to pixel dimensions and density (300 dpi for example). If you set DPI to 300 it does not mean it will be displayed as you want it because there aren't enough pixels for application to fill the space without to enlarge document what will result in loss of quality.

A bit confusing request because you are mentioning actual background. Actual background is transparent what is represented with checkerboard. If you want to change checkerboard (transparency) settings then go to Preferences > Transparency & Gamut. I can not recall but if you can choose None from Grid Size drop-down then you will get solid color background, if that's what you want. You can also try to set Grid Colors to the same color to get solid color instead of the checkerboard.

Ok, create two more type layers and use different fonts. Assign Text Replacement variables: quote2 and quote3 to second and third type layer. Your excel file should look like this: quote quote2 quote3 " " First quote " " Second quote " " " " " " " " Third quote

There is another way of doing the same thing with only text variables without visibility variables assigned. You can skip visibility variables what doubles the number of variables and maybe confuse you. It is possible to substitute text on type layer with empty space by typing " " in a column with text substitution variable (you must press space bar between quotation marks to make empty space). Here is how it looks like in data set: TextVariable1 TextVariable2 TextVariable3 " " First quote " " Second quote " " " " " " " " Third quote

There is hope for this task, just keep asking. It is possible to play with visibility variables. Basically, if you want to use 3 different fonts then you must create 3 text layers in your template. Use different fonts for each text layer. Play with visibility to always have only one text layer visible while other 2 will be hidden. I am trying to accomplish that task and it works. Here is example text file with variables. You must repeat the same quote for all 3 layers. Visibility variables will hide two others so only one will be visible. Hopefully, this will help you something. TextVariable1 TextVariable2 TextVariable3 VisibilityVariable1 VisibilityVariable2 VisibilityVariable3 Text to Replace Text to Replace Text to Replace true false false Some Other Text Some Other Text Some Other Text false true false Third text quote Third text quote Third text quote false false true

In case you cannot find a solution here is my suggestion: try what Mylenium is suggesting. It is possible to randomize data using Excel. I was using Excel plugin for similar job couple of years ago. I cannot remember which plugin, here is a link to one that is easy to Google Randomizer for Microsoft Excel That will require your involvement. How much involvement? It depends. I was forced to record a macro to remove empty spaces at the end of lines in .txt files. Good luck!

I am not sure what exactly you want. You can record step in action to play another action(s): While recording action simply select another action and click Play selection button. Wait action to finish playing. You should see step in your action: Play action "Action name" of set "Action set".

I cannot remember that font size was updating as you are increasing or decreasing font size using the keyboard with text size field in the Options bar. I think that's your assumption based on font list. Did you tried to select text (double click on text layer) then to use keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl + Shift + > or < to increase or decrease font size. Add Alt/Opt to change font size with an increment of 10.

It will work perfect for you unless resolution of placed image/file and document resolution are different. If you have different resolutions (Image > Image Size > Resolution) then you will get downsampled or upsampled placed file regardless of Resize Image During Place turned off. What is going on? If you are placing image/file with 72 resolution in the document with the resolution set to 300 then Photoshop will upsample layer with placed image (4 times: 72 x 4 = close to 300 ppi). Original image/file will remain with 72 resolution but layer or smart object layer with placed image/file in the document with 300 ppi resolution will be upsampled. On the other hand, if you are placing image/file which has set 300 ppi resolution in document which has resolution set to 72 ppi, smart object layer in Photoshop will appear 4 times smaller of what you expect. Original file/image which you can open by double-clicking on smart object thumbnail will open the file in its full size in a new tab. JJMack is absolutely right with his statements. I tried to explain in different way exactly same thing.
