Hi Marc Has this been resolved for you? I am experiencing the same issue and as simple as it sounds, it's a serious issue when batching actions with a large team. Been woring in PS for decades and am not finding a suitable fix / answer. Regards, Clinton.

What does »Updoot this man.« mean?
By @c.pfaffenbichler
I had to look this one up yesterday, CP!
"Updoot is a humorous internet slang for an upvote (or a “like”), which is a favorable rating a user gives to an online post or website."

Are you embedding the profile? What application are you viewing these exported files in, and does it support color management?

It seems the search in the Save-dialog only finds Folders, in the Open-dialog files are found fine.

It looks to me that a Shape made with the Shape tool is a "Live Shape", and shows a bounding box if the Shape or Path Selection tools are selected, but not the Direct Selection tool. Paths and Shapes made with the Pen, and converting Text to Shape, do not.
If you drag one of the nodes with the Direct Selection tool, a popup says "This operation will turn a Live Shape into a regular Path. Continue?" The bounding box will go away, but the Shape has been altered. I don't know any easy way to convert to a regular Path without altering the Shape.

Until Photoshop has AI masking that can be correctly batched, you appear to be stuck.
A long standing feature request is to save the AI masks from ACR as an alpha channel or applied layer mask.
Depending on your layer structure it might be possible to batch script combining the results of the AI masks from flattened TIFF versions with the original layered images, using their existing transparency.

I would use Camera Raw to change them but it doesn't live preview layers below the current one...
By @Oneechan69
How about selecting the layers and converting them to a smart object, then using the Camera Raw filter as a smart filter.

You can have multiple instances of Inner Shadow, as well as Drop Shadow and other effects marked with a plus sign. These can coexist simultaneously. To delete or hide an effect, simply select it and click the trash icon in the lower right corner of the effects column.

OMG.. I fixed it! It has been happening to me for the past month... I took someone's advice to change the mouse.
By @Marilynn Lomazow
I wonder if it is a ghosting problem. I can't say that I have heard of it with mice, but a lot (or even most) gaming keyboards eventually start to ghost and type multiple characters for one press of a key. If a complex gaming mouse developed ghosting, then that could be interpreted as a double click, thus closing the selection.

Sorry, After going back to the web page I am making in Word...I can add or open or see the files I created before and they are roughly 1500 x 700 and about 1meg + and when I add those to my Word page they look great and are the size I want but when I add files I have made recently with PS they are all 500-700 kb and load up on Word as a small picture...Makes no sense at all, something has changed in PS I believe because it's not working the way it has before. .

Thank you for the reply @bojan I finally figured it out. The gradient toolbar had the opacity somehow set to 90%, even though the gradient properties window showed 100%. It was so easy to miss but I guess we can chalk this up to user error on my part.

I know this is an old thread, but this was the fix for me - I was changing the file name when I recorded my actions. Just re-recorded leaving the file name untouched and now when I run the action, it populates with the name of whatever the open document is! Thank you!

When you don't see the "open" option in the error message dialog you need to take the following steps to enable the droplet: Open the Apple menu > System Preferences > Privacy & Security > below under Security the droplet is mentioned and can be opened anyway > after that it works. Should you not see it there, then make sure to try and run the droplet first (doubleclick).

It's not a Photoshop bug; the browser or OS is adding black color to transparency. Photoshop is receiving the image you see from the clipboard. Try pasting it into another application to confirm.

Just look in the Tools panel for the Gradient tool. After you select it, the options bar for the tool (at the top) changes to offer gradient options. As long as the Gradient tool is selected, you can drag it to create a new gradient fill layer.
As long as a gradient fill layer is selected, the Properties panel displays options for that selected layer. Look at those layer properties to find the Opacity Controls, select the opacity gradient stop you want to adjust, and adjust its Opacity value.
You can see that this is now accomplished in seconds, completely on-canvas, without having to open any dialog boxes. This is also more consistent with how a lot of other modern applications work.
(Sorry if the gradient looks a little rough in the demo…the Adobe forum software tends to degrade GIF animations)
That window with thumbnails? That’s the Gradients panel, and it stores gradient presets. It works exactly the same way as the other presets panels in Photoshop such as the Swatches panel (color presets), Shapes panel (shape presets), Brushes panel (brush presets), etc. If that panel already contains a preset you want to use, you can apply it straight from the panel in one click or drag-and-drop action. But if you need to create a new gradient that doesn’t already exist in the Gradients panel, then you want to select the Gradient tool and adjust it in the Properties panel.

Put all your photos into a folder and run adobe bridge, make an export preset of the resolution you need and the format you need. The printer doesnt want them under 1mb, he wants them at least 1mb (ideally, not a requirement). Hes trying to get you the best print you can get - so basically you want to give him high resolution images and you can make them all the proper resolution you need with adobe bridge

No real resolution. I was just told that it's a feature. There is a work around in that it only toggles when you are using the selection tool so if you want to use your short cuts select some other tool. Very bothersome and I wish it would magically revert back to the way it was.

Hi Kazz & Gary – I know it's been a few years and you may not be in need of this answer anymore, but if it helps for anyone else finding this thread in the future, I was able to figure out a workaround when experiencing this same problem recently! Instead of editing the mask as you normally might – by using a brush on the visible canvas – instead hold the ALT key and click on the layer mask with your mouse. This should convert your screen view to only show the mask, like this. Then, take your brush and click anywhere on the canvas once. It doesn't matter where, what color the brush...just click on the canvas once. For me, this action instantly reverted the mask back to how it displayed prior to the error. I don't know why this works. Considering there isn't a good reason the error occurs in the first place, I would chalk it up to just being a really weird bug. But for me, this action reverted the mask back instantly. Just make extra sure that you do this after entering the black/white mask view with the ALT + Click first, because if you make any edits to the mask while in the normal view this will no longer work. Hope this helps anybody else having the same issue. This occured for me in the most recent photoshop version, 26.4.0.
