With the small effort, you can add the reminder that Smart Object is created from more than one layer, if that is important to you. Double click on letters (name of that layer) to rename the layer and add at the end letter L or type something like layered or layers. Another way to rename layer is to select it then go to Layer > Rename Layer... Another option is to right click and to assign some color to that layer.

There is a big differences between Brush Presets .abr files and Tool Presets .TPL files. Tool Presets for brushes can record all aspect of a brush settings. Tip size, color, blending mode, opacity etc. Adobe has also made major changes to Photoshop brush engine and UI interfaces adding's groups. I'm not a Painter and do not know how Panthers use all of Photoshop Brush UI stuff. Some time ago I wrote some Scripts for use shortcuts for cycling forwards and backwards through tool Presets. At the time the seem to work well for me. I still use Photoshop legacy brushes. Again Tool Presets .TPL sets not brush .ABR sets. Cycle Tool Presets Package Added Sept. 6, 2017 Contains CycleTool.jsx - Tool Presets cycling function need to be included in your Tool Presets script Include four Tool Presets cycling scripts for four free tools Presets sets I downloads from the web CycleBrushes.jsx - Cycle presets in tool preset set the_sketch_arsenal_by_thatld.tpl the_sketch_arsenal_by_thatld.tpl - need to be in the scripts folder CycleMixerBrushes.jsx - Cycle presets in tool preset set Yngvar_BasicMixerBrushes.tpl Yngvar_BasicMixerBrushes.tpl - need to be in the scripts folder CyclePencilBrushes.jsx- Clocker presets in tool preset set CS1_Pencil_Presets.tpl CS1_Pencil_Presets.tpl - need to be in the scripts folder CycleWaterBrushes.jsx- Cycle presets in tool preset set alenah_watercolor511(set_of_3_brushes).tpl alenah_watercolor511(set_of_3_brushes).tpl - need to be in the scripts folder CycleToolsPresets.html- This brief write up CycleBrushes.gif - Animated Gif use in the above html file Download Tool Presets Usage - I find using tools presets can be awkward. You need to pull-down the Tools preset list from Photoshop's option bar then find and select the preset you want to use. If you have unchecked current tool only so you can select any tool's presets from the pull-down list or to be able to select any tools presets in actions and scripts. Your list of presets can be quite large and finding what you want to use can take some time. Even when you have current tool only checked the presets list can be long. Using Photoshop reset presets can help you to keep your presets list short. But then you will need to load or reload Presets you want to use. If your are a painter you may want to switch between brushes often, quickly and easily in a subset of your brushes for the painting you are doing.Scripting can help here but because of the way Photoshop works that script can get complex for most likely you do not want to just rotate through big set of brushes. You may want to switch back and forth between brushes in a set of brushes. Actually I really do not know for I'm not a painters but, I have seen many make set of brush presets available on the web for others to use. Like at DeviantArt Brushes] also see instruction for installing presets. Because I have a programming background I thought I would make an attempt at making it easier for users to load and switch between a tools presets. In my opinion you should use Adobe Photoshop Alt+Right-click dragging up, down and left, right feature to change your paint brush tip size and hardness. You should use paint brush preset for switching between types of brushes with some useful size. The script I came up with is designed to be use via shortcut keys. In fact for full function two shortcut keys are required a F(n) Forward shortcut key and a (Shift/Alt/Ctrl)+F(n) Backward shortcut key. You can create a script for each set of tool presets you wish to switch between. However each script will need two shortcut keys and be for a single tool for a set of its presets. The script can be used for other tools besides Photoshop's paint brush tool. You only need to customize the provided sample script for your preset sets. Three items need to be set the cycle script function will do all the work. The script is well commented is should be easy to understand. The script checks Photoshop's current tool and if is the correct tool for the Presets the tools settings will be set using your next or previous Tool's Preset else Photoshop current tool will be changed to the correct tool. If you have set up your workspace so your Brush Palette is docked as an Auto-collapse Iconic panel there is a commented out if statement in the script you can uncomment to have the script open the Brush palette when it switches Photoshop's current tool so you will see its feedback. Photoshop Tool Name - The tool the presets are for. A list of Photoshop internal tools names is included at the bottom of the script file. Photoshop Presets Set - The Set name of your Photoshop's tool's presets. Your *.tpl file is required to be in your scripts folder. Ordered Preset Names List - The list of the preset names in the set you want to use via shortcuts. If the Photoshop tool is the Paint Brush tool Photoshop will provide visual feedback via the tool option bar brush preview and also in the Photoshop Brush palette.

It would really help us to clearly see your layers panel. And, perhaps a marker showing us exactly where you're trying to fix. Thanks.

There are several layers. See the Layers panel on the right. If you expand the Layers panel so we can see all the layers that would be helpful.

I just tried that, and it works fine for me with ctrl + shift + s -- but I had it set to ctrl + alt + s, which caused the weird behavior. I'll go back to using the default shortcut, but it still seems like the behavior shouldn't change depending on what keys you use for the shortcut.

I will try to imagine what you need although I am not sure what is your problem exactly. Are your pages created in Photoshop? Then clipping mask may work for you. Here is one of my tutorials to add a border using Canvas Size. You can add a border in any color on 3 sides https://www.designeasy.co/2011/05/adding-border-or-borders-with-canvas.html

Here are my 2 cents: If your files with transparency do not have Background layer (just regular layer) then you can use If statement in action because Photoshop will recognize file without Background layer as layered file even if there is a single layer in the file. You must record at least 2 actions where one action will do what you want and second action will contain single if statement. You must point to that action in batch process. You can use If statement in this way: If current layer is Background Then Play Action: (name of the second action which will do what you want) Else Play Action: None or some other action Another way is to use If statement with Document Has Layers to play None and else to play some other action.

Can you expand Transform current layer step and post screenshot? I think that solution with already mentioned Image > Automate > Fit Image at the beginning of action is a good solution. After that step, record step to ensure that Canvas Size is 800x600px. Things to consider: do you want solid color for extra canvas size or it needs to be transparent? If you are ok with solid color then ensure that particular color is chosen in Canvas Size dialog. This will work for all images with Background layer. If you have images without Background layer things will start to be more complex and you will need to record another action and to add if statement in the action. Download this action and test it Fit product image into 800x600px.atn - Google Drive I have recorded open step at the beginning of action which you should exclude when using Image Processor Pro, for example. Action will add white extra canvas space, if you want a different color then you must change Canvas Size step. For anything else ask again on this page.

You may want to open your image in an editor first to resize it before blindly sending it or inserting it. ANd most programs that handle images have an internal import or attach or place command. Searching in Bridge can be problematic. Try using the non-indexed files option shown above for better results.

OK Pete. I can imagine design purists turning their noses up at the variable fonts, and they do feel bit like cheating, but they are one of my favourite new features in recent major updates. I mean why make life difficult when such flexible solutions are available?

The easiest way is to use Image Procesor Pro, as already mentioned. This script allows you to save multiple images with different dimensions (Resize to Fit on the right side) in a single pass. You have the option inside script window to scale the original image so you do not need any action. If you need to add prefix or suffix to the file name here is my tutorial https://www.designeasy.co/2014/07/how-to-add-prefix-and-suffix-to-file.html

I do not see any variations in color on the shirt. You can sample color from shirt using Eyedropper to set it as Foreground color then simply paint with Brush tool on a layer with a t-shirt or on a separate layer above the layer with t-shirt.

Wow, ok. I guess that explains it. It's hard to understand that it was designed to work that way. The option says "Resize during Image Place". Not "Downsize during Image Place". And I can imagine wanting to go up as likely as down. I guess the idea is to avoid having images show up with portions that aren't visible because they're off the canvas. Ok, I get it. Thanks!!

I must put my $ 0.02. Double click on the right side of the layer with dots to open Layer Style dialog. Click on Color Overlay. Set Blend Mode to Normal. Click on a rectangle with color on the right side of Blending Mode to open Color Picker and set color which you want to use to recolor dots. You can also go to Layer > Layer Style > Color Overlay to open Layer Style dialog and set Color Overlay effect. The remaining part is to ensure that Blend Mode is Normal and to pick a color for overlay effect. You can change color at any time by double-clicking on Color Overlay which will appear under Effect below the layer to which is applied effect.

For white background, you can follow last two steps above mentioned. You must record additional two steps in that action. For the rest expand Set selection steps to see what is action selecting. Play one by one step to understand action (Ctrl + double click on action step) then you can perhaps modify it.

Thanks guys for the help Bojan Živković Mylenium, I have played around until I figure out what my problem was. One of my nested groups was causing the problem, and had to merge that group to solve the problem. Inside my parent group I had four other groups [Cover, Pages, Spiral, Shadow] and inside each one of them I had another folder that contains [ambient Occlusion, Global Illumination, Solid]. Once I merged this group, I was then able to duplicate the parent group (Having two notebooks on my screen) and move them around without selecting them in the layer palette. "Still don't know why this group caused the problem" Hope this will help someone else...

If you have downloaded the PSD file from the Internet then the person who uploaded it there have not attached the displacement map file along with the final file. So, When you save layer "Change your design here," it says "Could not find the file" because photoshop opens it as PSB file in the Temporary file folder on your computer. Not the original file which is missing. The solution is, you create your own displacement maps and then "Double click" on "Displace" of your smart object and replace the file. Now you have your new displacement map somewhere saved on your computer which will be used every time you change your design. Creating Displacement Map is extremely easy and if you are new please watch any youtube video! Thanks.

Here is my suggestion how to achieve what you want in Photoshop. I guess you want same shape evenly distributed with same fill on the same shape layer: Crete new shape layer. Use any technique that you know to get the desired shape on the shape layer. I am using two shape layers to cut a hole inside bigger one in the animation below. Ensure that shape path is selected. Press Ctrl + Alt + T then move duplicated path (which will contain and shape fill) Press Ctrl + Shift + Alt + T to repeat operation (copy + move)

Creating a template for a Web page layout is simple. All that is needed is a Background layer and an Alpha channels that map each Image's Location Size and Shape. These templates can be autocratically or interactively populated using a Photoshop scripts. Populated templates will be layered documents that can be easily modified using Photoshop and saved for use on your web pages. Photo Collage Toolkit Photoshop scripting is powerful and I believe this package demonstrates this here is a video showing a 5 image collage PSD template being populated with images The package includes four simple rules to follow when making Photo Collage Template PSD files so they will be compatible with my Photoshop scripts. Size the photo collage templates for the print size you want - width, height and print DPI resolution. Photo collage templates must have a Photoshop background layer. The contents of this layer can be anything. Photo collage templates must have alpha channels named "Image 1", "Image 2", ... "Image n". Photo collage templates layers above the background layers must provide transparent areas to let the images that will be placed below them show through. There are fifteen scripts in this package they provide the following functions: HelpPhotoCollageToolkit.jsx - Online Help TestCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to test a Photo Collage Template while you are making it with Photoshop. CollageTemplateBuilder.jsx - Can build Templates compatible with this toolkit's scripts. LayerToAlphaChan.jsx - Used to convert a Prototype Image Layer stack into a template document. InteractivePopulateCollage.jsx - Used to interactively populate Any Photo Collage template. Offers most user control inserting pictures and text. ReplaceCollageImage.jsx - use to replace a populated collage image Smart Object layer with an other image correctly resized and positioned. ChangeTextSize.jsx - This script can be used to change Image stamps text size when the size used by the populating did not work well. PopulateCollageTemplate.jsx - Used to Automatically populate a Photo Collage template and leave the populated copy open in Photoshop. BatchOneImageCollage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Collage templates that only have one image inserted. The Collage or Image may be stamped with text. BatchMultiImageCollage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with images in a source image folder. Easier to use than the interactive script. Saved collages can be tweaked. PasteImageRoll.jsx - Paste Images into a document to be print on roll paper. BatchPicturePackage.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with an image in a source image folder. Images Rotates for best fit. BatchPicturePackageNoRotate.jsx - Used to Automatically Batch Populate Any Photo Collage template with an image in a source image folder. PopulatePicturePackage.jsx - Used to Automatically populate a Photo Collage template Fill with the same single image and leave the populated copy open in Photoshop. PCTpreferences.jsx - Edit This File to Customize Collage Populating scripts default setting and add your own Layer styles. Documentation and Examples
