The jpeg file format uses very aggressive (and destructive) compression. A jpeg is typically 2-10 % of original file size.

Hi @Trevor.Dennis
Thankyou for your feedback. The same field can be used for reverse shortcut search.
For example If one types a shortcut "W" in the field, the search results would show the commands name having the shortcut "W" associated with it followed by command name containing w in it. Also I would liek to suggest to use Match Case checkbox to get the exact search results (case-sensitive).
Thanks
Mayuri

Hey, I know this is an old thread, but I'm hoping you could help me out.
How do you go about automating geometry correction in Photoshop so that it doesn't just apply the same correction to each image, but calculates "correct" geometry correction for each image individually?
Thanks so much

By using a scripted step in the action rather than a standard action recorded step. My answer that was marked as a correct answer is one such example, however, there are other, more complex scripts that can be used.

I think some info is getting lost in translation... try your mask INSIDE your smart object and let us know if that solves the issue.

If not, what’s the best workflow to transition between Photoshop designs and actual website implementation?
By @chmianshahzaib_shouka6510
Photoshop has ways to let you design web pages and then export their assets
In brief:
The main thing is to take full advantage of layers and artboards. Design in terms of CSS layers, and implement those as Photoshop layers. For example, a rectangle of color would be its own CSS layer, so make it an independent shape layer in Photoshop. Use separate artboards for design variations, such as how you are designing versions for desktop, tablet, and mobile screen sizes.
When you’re done designing, Photoshop offers two different ways to export the design.
If you choose the command File > Export > Export As, you can export each artboard as its own document. This is useful for reviewing your website design to your client, but is not useful for coding the web site, and is not interactive in any way.
If you choose the command Layer > Export As, you can export each layer as its own separate web asset, such as JPEG and PNG files. If you designed each of them at the correct dimensions, you should be able to use those assets on the web site, referenced by the code you provide separately.
Neither method exports any code, they only export images. You must still create the website code that references those images. That code will be written in a different application, such as Dreamweaver.
Also, this is a one-way trip. Photoshop can only export images.* Photoshop has no way to read in a website and update it for you.
*Actually, the Slice feature and Save for Web (Legacy) can export code, but the feature is so old that the code may not be very useful for the way current web sites are coded. So I don’t think this counts.

Try using the Object Selection Tool, it will do a better job in this particular case, especially when helping to outline what you want to keep.

I make mockups using this method ALL the time. I have only gotten Replace Contents / Relink to File to work with a Smart Object IF the images are the exact same pixel dimension AND the exact same resolution as well. I wish this were different. Sometimes you don't want to take the time to homogenize all your images.

My $0.02. When you draw with the Pen tool and select the Path option as previously explained, Photoshop will create a Work Path in the Paths panel. That's a temporary item that can be overwritten accidentally. To avoid loss, double-click on the name Work Path to rename it, or click on Create new path in the Paths panel before drawing.

Try this: 1. Select all layers, 2. Merge them to a single layer at top of stack (ctl-alt-shift-e), 3. Crop as needed. I used the selection tool, then (image-crop), 4. Hide smart object below (eye icon) to preserve it's integrity for future use, including applied filters. This appears to hide the extra space the smart object would otherwise occupy.

Let's be clear here, since you're using the word "export", which makes your question ambiguous.
Are you talking about saving out a derivative RGB file, such as a PSD, TIFF or jpeg?
Or are you specifically talking about Denoise, which up to now was executed on a separate DNG, in addition to the original raw file?
If the first, the answer is don't delete the raw file. The RGB file has discarded a lot of data in the process, which you can't get back.
If the latter, enable the "technology preview" in ACR (which is available right now!) and Denoise is performed on the original raw file. A separate DNG is no longer created.

It might relate to Preferences > Cursors and the selected option, or possibly to Mac preferences? I'm on Windows, so please wait for someone with a Mac to join the discussion. I recall there was a similar issue that was resolved using Mac preferences.
