Just to be clear, did you start experiencing this behavior after an update to Lightroom Classic or to macOS? Also, are the files you're trying to import saved on your computer's local storage or an external drive, or are you trying to import from an SD card?
Please share a screenshot of the import window so that we can understand the options you've selected.

I posted about this issue in November, and it STILL gets stuck. It's hard to convey how annoying this is - something simple like exporting is now so difficult because you're never sure if / when it'll finish. It forces one to export individually. Imagine doing that as a wedding photographer or someone on a time crunch, thousands of shots you need to MANUALLY export one-by-one. Needless to say it's UNACCEPTABLE Adobe! Come on! We actually pay you monthly for this service and it's bordeline farcical this type of issue persists!!!

Hi, we're sorry about the trouble! I see you've used a Time machine backup to transfer things to your new Mac. We do not recommend that as it may cause issues.
Please try re-installing the application using the Creative Cloud desktop app and check if you experience the same behavior. If you don't have a backup of your presets, or have them on your old computer, you can check out this folder location to copy the XMP files over.
Macintosh HD > Users > (Your User name) > Library > Application Support > Adobe > Camera Raw > Settings.
Note: If you don't see the Library folder, you can unhide it using the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + .

First of all, I would reset SFW preferences, not Photoshop preferences (you need to google that; I can't recall which keys to press as you launch. But either way you can rename/move the SFW settings folder in your user account, which does the same thing).
Secondly - the preferences are much more than your own user settings. It's the sum total of the application configuration, including lots of hidden parameters that are dependent on other settings. It's complex, and that's why corrupt preferences can cause weird and unpredictable behavior.

If you lose your preferences in minor dot updates, something's wrong, like not having full administrator privileges in your user account.
With a major whole-number version update, preferences do not carry over, they never have. There is an option to migrate preferences, but I don't recommend it because of the high risk of accumulated errors carrying over as well.
As for actions, brushes, anything that can be saved out - save out and keep it in a safe place. Then it can always be easily reloaded.

I have the same issue and wholeheartedly agree that while reinstalling may 'fix' the issue, it's a hacky solution and ignores the actual issue. Adobe needs to fix their product and offer a solution that doesn't require reinstalling software. If Microsoft said 'reinstall Windows' every time users had bugs they'd have no users.

It sounds like you needed time for the AI Model to load initially. The first load after an App restart is always a little slower due to the lack of the AI Model in memory.

Hi Nikunj, Hope you're well. I am afraid I have had the same issue with Lightroom again. A pop-up is saying the app has been disabled. This time,. I went to Creative Cloud and clicked to see if there were any app updates and it said everything was up to date. I then signed out and back into creative cloud, then opened lightroom. Lightroom briefly opened but then the pop-up reappeared and lightroom closed. Any ideas? Thanks, Andy

Hello, I have two canon RP cameras that on Sonoma were able to be switched inside of the Tethered Capture window. Since upgrading to Sequoia (now 15.3), this is still broken. It will only recognize one camera at a time and i have to turn off and sometimes restart LR for the other camera to be recognized (only one name is visible from the dropdown in Tethered capture). Using two DIFFERENT camera models DOES work as expected. Lightroom version was downgraded to 14 as part of the troubleshooting steps i took, as well as permissions (full disk access, also tried "removable volumes",) To be more clear, today i plugged in an different camera model, so I had one RP camera and one 6D. Lightroom CC WAS able to see and switch between both cameras. This tells me that some identifier piece is missing for cameras that have the same model name. This issue happens in both LR Classic and Capture One, so it seems like a Sequoia issue, but Apple does not have a solution and pushed me to contact the 3rd party software cos. Any help would be incredible, this is a huge issue in workflow for my company
