This issue is due to the <script src="https://code.createjs.com/createjs-2015.11.26.min.js"></script> You're already linking to the Doubleclick-hosted version of CreateJS and you should only be using that for Adwords. <script src="https://s0.2mdn.net/ads/studio/cached_libs/createjs_2015.11.26_54e1c3722102182bb133912ad44 42e19_min.js"></script> should replace the $CREATEJS_LIBRARY_SCRIPTS token in your template

By the way, you don't need any of that devicePixelRatio code that's currently in your Fla. Animate now has built in HiDPI support in the newer HTML templates.

Yeah, any older templates won't work in CC 2017 because now canvas = document.getElementById("$CANVAS_ID"); gets included in the HTML file instead of the JS file. Older HTML templates don't have the $CANVAS_ID token, so the canvas ID isn't getting declared which is what causing the problem. Yes, I looked at your Fla; that's how I know that you don't have an instance name on both keyframes. You have an instance name on frame 164, but not frame 151. You need to have a matching instance name on both keyframes.

For this to work, you need to add frame labels for the"over" and "off" animation frames. Here is some basic information about frame labels: Use frames and keyframes in Adobe Animate CC You also need parenthesis in stage.enableMouseOver();but if you have any button symbols you don't actually need to include enableMouseOver at all, because it will be automatically generated in the HTML.

Here are instructions to install a previous version of the app: Install a previous version of any Creative Cloud application However, you don't actually need to revert. To get things working in the latest version of Animate, all you have to do is go into publish settings and reset to the default template. Then, export the default template, add back your customizations (such as the ad size meta tag and click tag) and then re-import the updated default template. I can confirm that after upgrading to Animate CC 2017 I also experienced the same problem with old templates not working, and following the steps above fixed the issue. I believe the issue is occurring because in the latest version of Animate, canvas = document.getElementById("$CANVAS_ID"); will be included in the HTML file instead of the JS file, and if you're using an old template then the canvas ID never gets declared.

Give your button and your animation movie clip instance names. In this example, I'll use "stopper" for the button and "anim" for the animation movie clip. Then, add these actions to the main timeline: this.stopper.addEventListener("click", stopAnim.bind(this)); function stopAnim() { this.anim.stop(); } You can name your instances and functions whatever you want, but it's best to use something that's intuitive to avoid confusion in the future.

Thanks for sending your files in a private message. The issue is that you were using an old/outdated publishing template with the newest version of Animate CC 2017. If you replace the template with this updated version that I just set up, that should fix things. To import the new template, simply go to Publish Settings > Advanced > Import New.

If you update it so that the instance name is present on every keyframe where the button appears, that should fix it. Currently the instance name is only on the final keyframe.

Can't you just use Find and Replace? To find and replace symbols, search for a symbol by name. Replace a symbol with another symbol of any type—movie clip, button, or graphic. Select Edit > Find and Replace. Select Symbol from the For pop‑up menu. For Name, select a name from the pop‑up menu. Under Replace With, for Name select a name from the pop‑up menu. To select the next occurrence of the specified symbol on the Stage and edit it in place, select Live Edit. Note: Only the next occurrence is selected for editing, even if you select Find All in the next step. To find a symbol, do one of the following: To find the next occurrence of the specified symbol, click Find Next. To find all occurrences of the specified symbol, click Find All. To replace a symbol, do one of the following: To replace the currently selected occurrence of the specified symbol, click Replace. To replace all occurrences of the specified symbol, click Replace All.

Templates are super useful; I use them frequently as well. What I would recommend is exporting the newest default template from Animate, and then adding back your custom settings in a text editor and re-importing the updated template. If you still experience issues, try gradually adding things back to troubleshoot what specifically might be causing the bug. I think the problem could be caused if you're using older tokens/template variables that are no longer supported.

Hey, have you tried publishing with the default template and seeing if that makes any difference? (I know you like to use custom templates so I just wonder if that could have anything to do with what you're experiencing). If you check the JavaScript Console in your browser, do you see any errors? If so, what errors are you seeing? If you could share a copy/example of your files that would be helpful too.
