Thank you for the reply. I find Photoshop macros clumsy to create and clumsy to use. And then there was the recent bug that prevented Photoshop macros from saving files (since fixed). The thing about Lightroom is that it wants to make everything a denizen of "Lightroom World." No thanks. I'm looking for drag-and-drop simplicity. For third-party solutions I tried SoftOrbits' Batch Picture Resizer, but it's unreliable and prone to crashing. I'm trying FastStone Photo Resizer next. /whining

I'm looking for a painless solution for bulk image resizing and re-formatting, e.g., convert a batch of TIFFs and PNGs to 4k JPGs. I found steps for Lightroom here: https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/photography/hub/features/how-to-bulk-resize-photos Problem: Unlike the instructions above, when I go to export the batch, there are no options for resizing or reformatting. Did I miss a step? Thanks. Lightroom Classic v12.3

Thank you for the suggestion. Makes no difference whether the video player is at full screen or not. I've worked in various formats before without issue; I'm trying to figure out why this one is different. If I import the exported video back into Premiere Pro it looks fine. Other observations: - The Windows thumbnail displays the video as the wrong format just like Windows media player; - If I check the properties of the video in Windows 11, it correctly reports the video as being 1920x1920 pixels. WORKAROUND: Exporting the video as HEVC (H.265) instead of H.264 resolves the issue.

I rendered a computer graphics animation using a square 1920x1920 pixel format, but for reasons I do not understand when exported as an MP4 from Premier Pro it plays back at different formats depending upon the media player: - VLC media player displays the video as a square, but it is zoomed in and compressed vertically; - Windows 11 media player displays the video at what appears to be 16:9 ratio with the bottom of the video cut off. Why is it doing this? Any suggestions? Thanks. Premiere Pro 23.3, Windows 11

I have a custom Photoshop batch file (resizes and saves files) that I've used for years. Suddenly, for reasons I don't understand, now when I run the batch it will not save the file, displaying this error instead: An error was encountered when batching. Check the error log file for details. The error log file has this entry: Error: Could not complete the command because of a program error. (-1) Any suggestions? Thanks. I just created a complicated Lumetri Color effects preset and saved it. Problem: I want to load this preset into another Premiere project file, but I cannot find any option for doing this. I found an online guide that says you should click on the hamburger menu next to the Effects control and click on "Import Presets", however, there is no Import Presets option there. I've looked elsewhere in Premiere, but I cannot find any option for loading or importing Effects presets. This should be easy, right? I'm pulling my hair out. Any suggestions? Thanks. I'm going to try addressing the issue upstream in the CGI render settings; I'm not seeing a video tool that will address these transient fireflies. Thanks again everyone for your feedback.

Rag and Bone, that motion control manages the position and scale of the clip. I see what you're talking about, but not what I'm looking for. Appreciate the clarification.

Rag and Bone: Thank you for the suggestions. At the risk of being sidetracked, I still do not see any Motion option in the Effects tab, and I am unable to toggle Window > Effect Controls; keyboard shortcut Shift+5 has no effect either (see attached screenshot). I suspect there's something fundamental I do not understand about the Premiere interface. Ann Bens: Thank you for the Lumetri tip. I'm not sure it will address this issue, but I'll take a look. Thanks again everyone.

Regarding my frustration in researching this issue, I keep coming across resources that don't appear to apply to my version of Adobe Premiere Pro. For example, here's a howto apparently posted by Adobe in September of last year: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/eliminate-flicker.html Unfortunately for me, I can't find any category labeled "Motion" in my Effects tab. Dang.

I've got a computer graphic animation featuring a model with some shiny metallic parts. The problem is that the lighting on these metallic parts will sometimes create overly-bright, firefly-like highlights. I'm trying to subdue these highlights in Premiere Pro, but I can't figure out how to. Any suggestions? I've researched this and while there are lots of tutorials regarding flicker and whatnot, I can't find anything that addresses my specific issue. Maybe I'm not describing it correctly? Thanks. I recently had an unusual notice in Premiere's Events panel (turned out I simply had a corrupt PNG in an animation I was exporting). While I was debugging the issue, it would have been helpful if I could have copied the report to a text file, but there appears to be no way to copy text from the Events panel. That led me on a search for the event log file itself in hopes that it was a text-friendly file, but I can't find it. Any suggestions? Thanks. Premiere Pro 24.1, Windows 11

I'm working on a project with multiple video clips in the timeline. In order to apply noise reduction evenly to all the clips, I nested the clips and used a 3rd-party product from within Premiere called Neat and applied noise reduction to the nest. Worked great! Then I added titles to the timeline above the nest (titles did not need noise reduction). Again, worked great. Problem: At one point I opened the nested clips (by double-clicking) to edit one of the clips in the nest, then I saved the project before closing the nest. When I re-opened the project, the nested clips were on the timeline, opened for editing as I left them, but when I closed the nest the title clips that were outside the nest, as was the audio tracks, were gone, nowhere to be found. Where did they go? How do I get them back? I tried to reproduce the problem for screenshots here, but now I can't reproduce it. Maybe it was just a fleeting glitch? From now on I'll just try to remember to close opened nests before closing a project. Thanks. Adobe Premiere Pro 23.1, Windows 11

Thank you for the link! This appears to be exactly what I'm looking for. Unfortunately, I can't get it to work. Regardless of how I configure compass, the import location (the only setting I want to change) consistently defaults to the location used in the previous project. Before I ask the kind folks at Knights of the Editing Table, I thought I ask here first. I've never used extensions in Premiere Pro before, so maybe I'm missing a step? Thanks again.

I work simultaneously on multiple computer graphic animation projects and use Premiere Pro to import the animation frames for export as video. Issue: Whenever I need to import new content, Premiere always defaults to the last import location regardless of the location of the currently opened *.prproj project file. The result is that I'm constantly having to navigate my way to the desired input location as each of my CGI projects have their own folder location. It would be a huge timesaver if Premiere defaulted to the current project location for importing content; is there any way to configure Premiere to do this? Thanks. Premiere Pro 22.6.2, Windows 11

I have an Adobe account that provides access to Adobe Stock images. Issue: When I download files labeled "License for free" and open in Photoshop, they are watermarked. If they are free with my account, then why are they watermarked? Is there a way to access non-watermarked versions? Needless to say, free or not watermarked images are of no use to me. Thanks.

I've had a paid Creative Cloud account for several years and I'm searching for illustrations that come free with the account. In the past (six months ago maybe), there was a search filter that enabled me to search for such included content, but now when I search there's no such filter, and every item is tagged, "Free with trial." What trial? Am I missing a step? What happened to the free content that came courtesy of my Creative Cloud subscription. Thanks.
