Unfortunately, no. SFW is a "deprecated" feature.
"Deprecated" means they don't recommend using it, and that it isn't undergoing further development.
All I'm able to do at least is to show you the expanded dialog which works better than the compact version.
That's my understanding unless an Adobe Employee knows more.

How do you copy these preferences to the newer version? Also had the same problem with Lightroom CC. Also, the photoshop workspace look like a sharing style workspace, very unlike the traditional one. Did I miss something during the migration to Mac Studio Max?

Thank you for this tip. I could not figure out why I could not get the save as legacy to work, but I have been using the old keyboard command and that results in "save copy". Same keyboard command, similar, but not identical function … not intuitive at all.

That's correct, the originals are rendered raw files, so if they have been saved as a copy, the unsaved render will be open.

You can delete it. When Adobe products had the Minibridge panel, it was used to communicate between it and Bridge. Minibridge was built on the now obsolete Flash technology. I think it was removed from Photoshop in 2010, and InDesign was the last holdout.

I used to just drag the layer to the trash can icon for a long time until I found out the delete key is faster. It was there since around CS4 (2008). You just think there is no other way, so you don't look for it. 😐

Trevor thanks, mine looks bit different: But yes it was checked, Another examples of the ENGINEERS being very inconsidertate of users and forceing defaults for the new annoying features, 90 % of users do not want and just rattle/ alienate. Had to discover new "spring loaded tools".... recently too.

Thanks Pete, its 23.4.1 Any tool, click any tool not work, unless mouse to tool bar then keyboard starts working for tools. Inexplicable. Ok took advice and move Prefs to deksop to test. (usually don't like deleteing prefernces) At fist, discomboulated by the UNBELIEVALABY OBNOXIOUS new spring loaded Tool... thing but I rememberd how to fix that issue: Just posted about that. https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/weird-tool-issue-new-macbook-air/m-p/13028675#M653219 You work for ADOBE why are they doint this? So inconsiderte to force these new these new annoying features on default-- really rattle people let me tell you... Ok after got past that. Yeah, in face ok, solved issue: But then lost my workspaces, and my keyboard shurtcuts for the Tool palette I'm used to.... and who knows what else I'll disover later by deleting preference. ... When you edit in ACR but do not 'render' the edits, you just save them, these edit instructions are saved inside that JPEG. You need to use the Open command in ACR so a new JPEG is created from the original and those edits.
FWIW, this isn't an ideal workflow (editing a JPEG) and there is always severe data loss due to the JPEG compression. But if that's all you have, then doing this in ACR is best apporach. Again, after you apply edits in ACR, you need to apply them and that isn't done unless you open in Photoshop then save that as a NEW JPEG (or ideally a TIFF if you edit further).
