Try using the Preset manager to import your desktop preset into your laptops Photoshop using a network connection. Or copy your desktop Photoshop preferences to your laptop using a network connection. The folder is normally hidden be your OS settings you may need to change that. Photoshop CS6 preference file functions, names, locations

larry4545 wrote Final try: Are the Adobe engineers aware of how annoying this is for their customers? That question just shows you still don't understand what a high-resolution display is and what it does. Are the display panel manufacturers aware of how annoying their products are? That's the question.

I understand what you said, and I really want to know the same thing, but I will put this in other words. Why the Adobe Camera Raw BW convertion has orange and purple sliders, while in Photoshop the BW adjustment layer filter hasn't this two colors control.

I remember that back in the day, when CR and Lightroom went to Processing Version 2012, I found this article by George Jardine very helpful: https://www.digitalphotopro.com/technique/software-technique/take-more-control-over-highlights-and-shadows/ There is a very good video with much of the same material at https://mulita.com/blog/a-few-thoughts-on-highlights-shadows-whites-blacks/

Hi, it's complicated to answer because it's not really clear what is your problem. By the way if you need to update something, do it via your creative cloud panel. Cheers, Martin

PS Nancy, are you consulting for this type of stuff? Your site has no name, or number, and form hard is hard to fill out (captcha), and you don't check too often, so maybe it's a labor of love thing, but not taking on clients for this type of thing (or other Code issue stuff)?

Hard to say, but usually that is the default in photoshop, unless the user unchecks it. Maybe the photoshop preferences have been reset at some point?

it is exactly what the picture send before was saying.... in CC2014.1 which correspond to the first DW version being 64bits... there is CC... and CC meaning Creative Cloud... we can easly understand that there is no stand alone, but a creative cloud application... and thta is why I answered ".... don't you clik non the link that we gave you ?... ... " 64 bits was 2014.1... not 2015

Sorry Larry, I didn't see your question until now... so B what does this mean? "that is why I have posted a FR to be able to save the results in a panel and be allowed to get multiple results panel" When one get the result panel populate, it always remove all the previous content of this panel... so when one launch a request... like for exemple, all the broken link, it give us a long list to work on... now imagine, that you need to launch a temporay new request... like finding a specific and particular broken link in all the site... (to replace all of them by the same new value)... the result panel, will remove all the preivous long list and replace it by the new results... so we loose all the revious list that we was working on... (so now my sentence) I have poste an FR (Feature Request) to one save all the results in an appropriate format to DW... to be able to reload the results (if needed) and two to get the possibility to have more than one panel results... because currently all the queries request use and share the same results panel... that would be nice that each query request open and use a brand new results panel. does this make sense, ? is it more clear explained that way...?

When you apply “edits” in ACR to a JPEG or TIFF image, the “edits” are not applied directly to the actual pixels as would happen in Photoshop. The “edits” are stored in the file as metadata. You can see this via File > File Info: ACR/Photoshop/Lightroom “translate” these metadata “instructions” into edits to the pixel data. This is why the OS or other programs do not understand that you have created a grayscale version of the image and show it in colour.

Thanks everyone, yes, I did have a constraint and forgot to hit clear. You know I think would be a great feature, no, if PS has those fields lit up in in Red or something, as they populate, as that happens every now and then. Would be a nice feature? But this has been a great thread, as I've never even noticed that gear icon with those options before, thanks C. So I may not need classic, but I now know it's there. It was also auto- centering, which I've never seen or noticed before. Thanks, PE for info why that is (trying to re-create old dark-era), I would have never guessed, and I owned many darkrooms. It's all good but sometimes too much technology can makes things maddening, but my fault...
