I'm not seeing that on my end – is this happening if you make a new empty project and try it there? If not, that means it's something specific maybe in your project. Would you be able to send or post the project here for us to look at?
Thank you.

You don't need to open the standalone project at all.
1. Create a new production
2. Use "Add Project to Production" to add a copy of the project to your production
3. Break apart that project as you see fit

Hi Neil! Sorry the steps there aren't clear, I can take this feedback and make them more clear. First though to answer your questions:
What does 'it can be left alone' in step 1 mean? Well, the gist of this process is to create a new Production, import your existing project, then break it apart into multiple projects. When you create a new Production you get an empty project to start with, and we figured in writing these steps that rather than twist into a verbal pretzel explaining all the things you could do with that project, we just wrote it to leave it alone since you don't need it.
Your interpretation of step 4 is spot on. See the graphic early in the document that shows a sample project and how that project might look translated to a Production. The tricky thing is you don't _have_ to do it that way...that's just how most, especially those collaborating will do it. What was a bin in a single project would be a project in the Production.
If you're a solo editor, yeah that might be too much breaking up. No problem – do what works for you!

While you shouldn't see multiple updates in a day for any given product, it is true that the goal of this new Beta program is to have frequent builds posted so that we can get this direct feedback from people trying it out and quickly turn around a fix or improvement. Thank you for trying out the Beta!

Yes, this will work. In general, projects in Premiere are compatible within the same major version. Major versions are 13.0, 13.1, 14.0, etc.
So a project from 13.1.4 can be opened in 13.1.5, then saved, and then opened again in 13.1.4 with no issues. But to open it in 14.0 would require Premiere Pro to upgrade it.

It looks like that font issue is most likely what's going on. Check in the Font Book app to see if Arial is disabled. If you don't see Arial there, you'll need to install it. Thanks Stan!

Thank you for the additional information. In File > Project Settings > General, what Renderer are you set to use? If you are on a GPU Accelerated Renderer? If so, can you try flipping it to "Software Only" and seeing if you can then see the Timecode?

Sorry to hear this! Could you post a screenshot of the Effects Control Panel showing what you have the Timecode settings set to? If possible it would be great to include in the screenshot what your Timeline Panel looks like and if you are applying the Timecode effect to a single clip or to an Adjustment Layer or Transparent Video over the whole timeline.

Thank you for that input Rob. In our testing we did test bins with hundreds of clips on them, but it's true you do need to have a good bit of screen real estate to fully take advantage of those larger bins. I just wanted to add that we do offer zoom functionality via the slider at the bottom or the -/= keys and you can also use the Hand Tool (H) to move around larger bins.

I was able to reproduce this issue on my end and will get it logged as a bug in our system. Also, I have a workaround for you in the meantime: - Open the Lumetri Color panel (Window > Lumetri Color) - Double click an affected clip to load it into the Source Monitor - At the top of the Lumetri Color panel, underneath the words "Master" and your clip name, you will see a drop down menu showing all of the Lumetri effects on the Masterclip level of the clip loaded into the Source Monitor - In the drop down menu, choose "Clear" - This should remove that instance of Lumetri from the Masterclip level - Repeat as necessary

We are tracking this bug and have a fix in the works. From what I have found about this bug there are a very particular set of steps that cause it. The good news is that it also makes it relatively easy to sidestep. If you are hitting this bug could you try the steps below and report back if you are able to avoid the issue? Steps to reproduce: have a sequence that has an audio effect on it where the effect was set to a preset other than the default (Apply Effect > change preset) and then some of the parameters were change Duplicate that sequence Open the duplicate Play the sequence Now, when you check one of the clips with the effects configured like mentioned above, the parameters will have been reset Note that the key to reproducing seems to be playing the sequence as the first thing done after the duplicating step. So, one way to avoid the bug is: Duplicate the sequence Open the duplicate Match frame any clip Please let me know if you are able to avoid having effects reset by following those steps, and thank you for your help.

Hi all, I just wanted to mention that we have now released version 12.0.1 of Premiere which should resolve this issue. Let us know how it goes! In addition to bug fixes and improvements, check out the new features in 12.0.1 – New features summary for the January 2018 and October 2017 releases of Adobe Premiere Pro CC. Matt

Jim, Unfortunately due to the nature of the issue there isn't a clear trigger or set of parameters to watch out for. All I can say is that it is more likely to occur in larger complex projects, and/or in situations working between multiple open projects, and/or with certain types of networked storage. Other factors like machine specs can also affect the severity.

First of all, I'm sorry this issue is happening for you. We're aware of the issue and hope to have it addressed in our next version. In the meantime drag/drop from the Source monitor is the work around in projects that are hitting this issue.

That is strange! Can you give some more details about your setup? (which OS and which version, your monitor configuration and basic hardware specs) Once you get your panels back if you quit Premiere, then re-launch it and open a new project is it still blank? Thanks, Matt

It sounds like something is going in with your Workspaces. Before having you try something as drastic as re-installing Premiere, could you try deleting your Layouts folder? This will reset all your Workspaces and you will lose any custom Workspaces you may have. If it is important to keep custom Workspaces, you can move the folder to your Desktop instead of deleting them. 1) Quit Premiere 2) If you're okay to just reset your Workspaces and lose any custom ones, delete the 'Layouts' folder. Otherwise, move it to your Desktop. The folder is located here: /Users/YOUR-USER-NAME/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro/11.0/Profile-YOUR-USER-NAME/Layouts 3) Launch Premiere You should see all the default Workspaces back now. Let me know if you do, and then also if the Title tool comes back.

Do any of the other built in workspaces show the Title tool? For example, if you switch to the Graphics, or Color, or Editing workspaces does it show up? Also something to try is to restart Premiere and open a new, empty project and see if the Title tool is there.

Hey Richard, Seems like trashing the preferences would do the trick. Are you on a Mac or Windows machine? Another thing you could maybe try would just be to re-install the plugin and that might do the trick. The download link is at the bottom of this page: Adobe Premiere Pro panel | Vimeo Let me know if that works, Matt

Bill is absolutely right and just to elaborate on what he said, you can think of it this way. The goal of a camera or recording device is to record as much as possible while keeping quality at an acceptable level. The types of compression used therefore can be complex so as to keep the file size down and allow more to fit on a memory card. But then when it comes time to play back or edit that file the computer has to uncompress the encoded file to figure out what the image is, and that can be hard on a computer, especially to do it in real time for playback purposes. So the point of the proxy workflow is not to make smaller files but to make easier to play files. Often that means using much less compression in the proxy files, which results in them being larger. Note that this is not always the case, as it depends on what your source is. For example if you shoot 3840x2160 ProRes4444 you will have very large files because there isn't a ton of compression going on in ProRes4444. If you then made proxies at 1920x1080 and ProRes422 you proxy files will in fact be smaller. Hope that helps! Matt

Glad it worked! And thank you for letting us know about the problem, it's extremely helpful for us in tracking down issues like this. I know it's frustrating but the answer to your question in short is that no, it wasn't anything you did that you could avoid in the future and it's not something you would have been able to fix either. But, because we are able to look at your project file and narrow down where the issue is, we are now aware of it and able to work to fix it. So, thank you again! Cheers, Matt

Thanks! I see that this project was originally created in v11.0.2 of Premiere. If you have auto saves that you haven't tried to open in 11.1, one way to at least get you working for now will be to uninstall 11.1 and in the Creative Cloud App navigate to Previous Versions where you can re-install 11.0.2 Link with instructions: Install a previous version of any Creative Cloud application Let me know if you are able to open any of the old auto saves in 11.0.2 Thanks, Matt

Hi, The steps you described of doing an Interpret Fooatage to 29.97 are correct, but the video you posted first is not actually slowed down, which to me seems the problem. I downloaded your 60fps video, imported it, did Interpret Footage to 29.97 and then exported at 29.97 and it is slow and smooth as you'd expect. file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/sp1s6k8e1nu68sd/Dach%20slow.mp4?dl=1
