Yes. I don't know how many times I've written this since I started the thread........ It's not a matter of speed. And it's not a matter of pen. It's easily reproduced with a mouse. Even if you do it very slowly. It's a good idea to exclude the possibility of Wacom at all. It has nothing to do with it. (I don't even install Wacom drivers, I don't connect them at all, and I can recreate them on my newly formatted PC.) Same with the mouse. I usually use the Logitech Gpro mouse, but it's not even a problem with the mouse because I don't install Logitech software, and it's reproduced with an old mouse with a polling rate of 125, and a noise-free Bluetooth cheap mouse for 3$ sold on the internet. This is not a problem with the device.

Everyone Happy new year. I wish everyone a happy 2024. https://youtu.be/Cle6dEgP5_Y I've already reported a few months ago that this is easily reproduced even if I try to be honest like Newbie, who is just running Photoshop for the first time, using a mouse, very calmly and slowly, as I've reproduced on YouTube in the body thread. It has nothing to do with speed.

We really don't have an idea of how many people are affected, but it's probably < 1%. Unfortunately, if you are in that category, that is an extremely unhelpful bit of data. <<< I've done everything I could as a writer of this thread because I have absolutely no knowledge of programming and have difficulty providing clues any more. Same with recreating it as a YouTube video. So I understand even if this bug is hard to fix. However, I can't agree that some of you are experiencing this bug. Most ordinary people don't even know if it's a bug or not. To know if it's a bug, you need to know what it's like when Photoshop works normally, and among those who know it, I only write on the forum for some users who want to see it fixed. Dozens of people in my team and I have had the same bug reproduced on dozens of computers. (Not only this bug, but also the ones that were reported before and eventually fixed.) So even if 10 out of 10 people are reproduced, is this still 1%? The expression "some users" at least doesn't seem to suit bug reporting threads. Most users experience this, and they don't know if it's a bug or not. That's what Photoshop is supposed to be like. It's supposed to be this sticky. It's supposed to be this slow. Photoshop is supposed to crash once in a while. Most people think like this about all previous issues or bugs, so they don't report much.

@uwe johannsen Are you sure you don't mind using the previous version? If so, try the 24.0.1 version. I have all the Photoshop installed for each year, and I only keep the most stable version of the releases that come out each year. Not to mention taking the time to test new releases from time to time. Photoshop 2024 version has all the bugs you're experiencing. Photoshop 2023 version also has bugs in releases later than 24.5. In my experience, apart from this bug, the stable 2023 Photoshop was 24.0.1.

@Paul22925304csps Yes. I also installed 25.2, tested it, and immediately rolled back. It lasts longer than I thought. I wrote this thread because I expected it to be fixed as a hotfix in a month or two. But It's 2024 in a few weeks.............. =(

@RobinJean To be exact, it's after version 24.5. To avoid this bug, use an older version. No problem with version 24.0.1....

@ericman2323 i guess Plugin it's not problem. When I tested countless times (24.5~24.7? version). These days, when the release comes out, I test it out and roll back it right away...), I just reinstalled the OS clean, installed Photoshop, and did nothing, and reproduced it with just a mouse.

@CJButler Hi. Thanks for coming this thread. I press the spacebar very often because I'm a Retoucher, but when I reproduce that bug, I just press it once very slowly and it reproduced. I don't know how this works (because I'm not a programmer). https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/when-press-f-doesnt-change-screen-mode/m-p/13277784 I reported on this last year. I thought it was a bug that wasn't serious, and actually that failed when I tried to change the screen mode myself, so I had to turn off Photoshop and turn it back on unconditionally at the time. But after version 24.5, I often had that bug and I inadvertently pressed the spacebar just one more time (hand tool was not active). And that's solved. So I changed my mind. I also claimed that by the time I reported this bug earlier, I had considered issues with Windows Ink, Wacom, or user settings, and that Photoshop's own installation file was broken. But don't think it's working well to return that spacebar from a version at some point (that's more prominent from 24.5). (Nothing to do with spring rod options) If you press and release the spacebar, you should recognize it. But it recognizes it as being pressed. This wasn't even a problem with the OS update. I was convinced when I tested it on the same Windows build version, the same drivers, the same CPU, multiple desktops and laptops of GPUs. So once again, I don't know about programming. But now this bug should be recognized in Photoshop as a user pressing "Spacebar" and then "unpressing" it (the Spacebar is not pressed), but it is not. Photoshop keeps thinking. The Spacebar order has come in, so I think I keep it.

I recommend 24.0.1. (Currently not fixed until 25.1)

@Vit Kovalcik Good Point! but.......... It might have something to do with Wacom, but when I reinstalled Windows 10 OS, which didn't even have a Wacom driver installed at all, and only installed Photoshop, I was able to reproduce it with just a mouse.

@CJButler There are also a lot of people reporting on macOS in this thread that I've created now. They're experiencing.... Ofcourse I'm WindowOS user. And to many people who reported on my thread together, thank you. I know you guys are not angry. But we think it's enough to make the expression more soft or just convey the information we need. The thread I've created has been my own reproduction of this bug, getting sympathy and votes from many people and incorporating many other threads into this thread. How to recreate this and the causes I think have already been left in this thread several times, and I've emailed Adobe employees a lot of things. Like the beginning of this thread, until the end of the thread (the moment when the bug is Fixed), we only want to talk about this issue.

I can honestly understand that this is fixed update late. I don't know the programming, but I don't think it will be easy. A few years ago, bugs that had been reported for a long time also needed a lot of time to be fixed. But I understand the delay in updates, but I don't understand that new releases keep being updated without this being fixed. I'm not sure about the other bugs. But this bug is as unpleasant as people who actually use Photoshop want to press ALT+F4 right away. Over and over again....... I don't think there's anything I can do in Photoshop to avoid this bug. Just press t and enter text? For instance, this was also a serious bug that I reported a year ago or two years ago. It destroyed the image in real time without saving it, and some users even destroyed their own family photos. beyond repair. So Adobe confirms it and the release is forever removed from the official release. You can't download it again. Like that I think there's no point in a new release as long as this bug exists. I don't know if it's a bug that only happens to some windowOS users, but people who use macOS also go through this...

@Deleted User It won't have much to do with the wacom. Because I've tested a lot of things... This is because I easily reproduced this with a mouse click while reinstalling Windows OS and only installing Photoshop. People talk about Spring Road, but I think differently. Looks like it has to do with the space bar.

@jeromea13244388 I'm not sure about that... For now this cursor bug and hand tool bug is still definitely not fixed and I just tested it and deleted it so I'm not sure... =( https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/fixed-issues.html I don't think what you said is on the fixed issue list either.

@SteveEE I haven't tried the 25.1 version yet. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/fixed-issues.html But it wouldn't have been fixed because it wasn't included in "Fixed issue." All versions after 24.5 were not included in the fixed issue, but I remember testing it just in case it was resolved. This is a bug already recognized by the Adobe team, and if fixed it would be written in fixed issue. It's your freedom to test, but... Now wait for 25.2.... 😃

It's November soon. I'm surprised that this thread I reported is already 5 months old. Some of the bugs I reported were fixed quickly or late. object selection bug - about two months https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-bugs/p-object-selection-very-slow-response-photoshop-23-5/idc-p/13167360/page/3 Subject crash bug with Nvdia Driver - from 23.4.1 to 24.0..... 😃 https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-bugs/p-object-selection-or-select-subject-crashing/idi-p/13121012#comments Yes, everyone. It will be fixed some day. Don't worry too much...

Is the bug you're experiencing similar to this? https://youtu.be/Cle6dEgP5_Y If that's right, I've reported before. This is a bug that started from 24.5. Since you are a mac user, I think you can provide more fresh information about bugs. https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-bugs/p-completely-broken-hand-tool-ps24-5-hand-tool-sticking-sticky-not-reverting-to-cursor/idi-p/13877561

@ucmj22 That is what I claimed and reported. Even if the user does not set up any settings and only installs "photoshop" after reinstalling Windows OS, that method sometimes works. What do you mean by that? There is an issue with the installation file that is already being deployed.......

@Fych Nope. This is reproduced even in environments where there is no WACOM without touching puserconfig. Reinstalling Windows OS and simply installing Photoshop will reproduce. It is not an issue related to plug-ins or user settings.

Then you contact some users that you can reproduce and install something that can collect logs (I don't know programming at all). For example, this is how about collecting logs while sharing remote screens?

@June1234 And as far as I remember (I may be wrong). I think I've seen it a long time ago) The cache tile size is automatically configured as 1024, 1028, depending on the manufacturer of the CPU (intel/ryzen), so it won't be a matter of tile size.

@Goyko @chrisell99 Try versions earlier than 24.5 right now.... @CJButler Thank you for your response. But I also can't agree with anyone that this is hard to reproduce. Do you happen to have a Windows PC that you don't use in Adobe Team? (Window10 or Window11 anything) If possible, reinstall it OS to get rid of all variables, then just install Photoshop and try Spacebar. Then the bug will be reproduced immediately. I replied by e-mail that it seems that there is already a problem from the installation file. Because the OS is reinstalled and reproduced like that in just installed Photoshop. I am a fan of Adobe and I need Adobe's products for my job. So, I try not to write down negative thoughts and words as much as possible. But the other minor bugs are the kinds of bugs that you can try not to use or ignore even if it's uncomfortable. However, this bug can be experienced by Newbies as well as retouchers, and it is a very difficult bug beyond the inconvenience. So to be honest (I'm sure Adobe development team is sad to see this, but I'm sorry) I don't think all releases after 24.5 where this bug hasn't been fixed have any meaning as a formal release. It's a version that can't be used properly, but I don't know if any other function has been added. So I just test every release and delete it right away. I have to retouch a few hundred pictures every day to keep the due date, but this bug has such an adverse effect on my workflow, so I would like to give feedback while using the official latest release, but it is impossible.
