I recommend 24.0.1. (Currently not fixed until 25.1)

Hmmm... Yeah it does seem like a lot of the panning and zooming tools/hotkeys are buggy when used in tandem with a Tablet. Thanks for the info.

Versions earlier than 24.5 are safe from this bug. However, the bug related to the space bar itself seems to have occurred from version 24.0. Please look near the end of the thread I posted. I had already reported it.

Your bug is quite interesting. https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-bugs/p-brush-outline-circle-disappearing-when-working-with-masks/idi-p/12570028/page/8#comments What I consistently reported on the brush cursor with other users was that it turned into an arrow when you actually started painting a brush or heating brush or a clone stamp. It would be nice if you could share more detailed information about this. Your system information. Copyable from Photoshop.

Ok final data point.. disabling of SMT was having a performance impact on other activities I need to accomplish with higher multithreading requirement. Re-enabled SMT and spent about 10 minutes opening up about various images and used the object selection tool and others. All things are stable now. Looks like the crashing was a result of the MSI gameboost function within bios being turned on.

So, STABLE will always give the best results, but consume more resources and FAST consume less resources, but doesn't give so good results, correct?

It appears 24.7 still has this bug. I don't think they have resolved it although they have added all these other AI features which are annoying because they basic functions are broken. What version did you revert back to where the actions portion of PS still works. Let me know please! Thank you.

If I intended »unifying« I would probably have used a Solid Color Layer instead of painting on a pixel Layer, where I can pick the color and paint different regions differently.

@Guilherme22816093apqe As of May, Adobe will no longer supply versions beyond what is available in the Creative Cloud desktop app. You can take a big leap back to 2019 by going to https://prodesigntools.com

Hi Adobe Team. You guys been spending a lot of time working on features and bug fixes ahead of the new Photoshop 2024, and I appreciate how busy you've been. Btw, I would like to request one more feature. I would like to be able to drag an entire folder to open all the images in it. Especially if have subfolders, will want to include them as well. Currently, if you have a single folder, you can just drag all of its images in, but if you have multiple folders (or multiple subfolders), you'll have to go into each folder and load all of the images. Something like this Main Folder Sub1 Sub2 Sub3 Sub1_1 Sub2_1 Sub3_1 ...... Sub1_2 Sub2-2 This would be handy for opening dozens or hundreds of images at once. Currently, I have to go into each folder and open each image. =(

My earlier demonstration was purposely extreme, to demonstrate the point of eye adaptation, but coloured elements on the interface do make a difference. We spend a lot of money on good quality, 10 bit monitors, with good uniformity, plus calibration and profiling hardware and software. We do also try and work with reasonably neutral surroundings behind the monitors. The last thing needed is a multicolour interface interfering with fine colour adjustment. Take a look at the pushback on the blue share button if you need confirmation of what other users think.
That said, if this was optional and took very little development time then go for it - each to their own as they say. But if such development takes away from fixing some of the long standing issues then I would vote against it.

I did a series of Windows 11, 10, 11 installations to figure out another crashing issue I was constantly having (pretty sure it was overheating due to overclocking). So this example comes from after several re-installs from scratch since the first in this thread. I finally had another file-damaging glitch in the most current, base version of Photoshop. In this case, I duplicated/merged all layers and used the old Content Aware Fill. While the tool itself behaved properly, this is what it did to my Temporary merged Layer. The top corner of pixels became corrupted. In this case, I just threw it away. But for a time period I was bumbping into a series of oddities like this. That pixel information that it's overlaying is coming from another part of the image.

And 90% of the time I am providing code to do so if it is in my limited abilities. Actions are limited, so unless one wishes to wait for Adobe to add in a native feature, scripting is the only solution to a missing feature. If I could write a script as fast as a sarcastic comment, then I might have more time.

Hey y'all. It has been very hard to repro this internally here at Adobe. There are so many variables. We did implement a lot of mouseUp/Stylus tracking fixes over the past number of releases so it sounds like there's been some success. Just recently we had a customer provide us with an excellent video with exact steps required to repro a related cursor flicker issue and we were able to fix it, which will be in the next release. If you have further specific steps or video talking through and illustrating the issue (with the current release), please share. Thanks!
