Sorry about the crashing. I know that's really frustrating! I recommend updating InDesign to v16.3.2, which contains multiple bug fixes and performance improvements.

It may help you resolve your issue. If not, then I suggest creating a new InDesign document and creating one footnote without placing it from a word document in InDesign. Then convert it to endnote and see if you get the desired result. If you get the desired result, then will it be possible for you to share the file with us? Hi there,
Sorry about the trouble. I am afraid there is no way to export images with metadata in InDesign. However, there are a couple of workarounds.
You can export the image and open it up in Bridge and add metadata over there.
Export the file as PDF as it will retain the metadata and open this PDF in photoshop and export it as a JPG.
Also, you could share your feedback and request for this feature with our product team using the UserVoice page (https://indesign.uservoice.com/), and they may consider it for the future release of InDesign. This way, you will keep getting all the updates related to this feature, and other users can also upvote, which would help us prioritize.

Screenshot of the black-bordered boxes with a pink background. Usually, the pink background indicates that the font being used is not installed on your machine.

Did you use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to remove/uninstall the existing installation of Illustrator?
You may try creating a new user account on your machine & also try to run the app in safe mode and see how the app behaves there.

Sorry about the trouble. We'd be able to assist you better if you could please confirm & share the following details:
Did you exported the file in PNG with the background color as "Transparent"? Then open it in Mac preview & chrome application and check if it has transparency?
While exporting EPS, did you select the preview format (Tiff "8-Bit color" with Transparent)?
As Monika mentioned above, you can turn on Transparency Grid in Adobe Acrobat from Preferences (Cmd+K > Page Display > Page Content and Information > Show Transparency Grid). By doing this, were you able to see the exported file as intended?

The system generates this error message when application files get corrupted with viruses or bugs and malfunction in the MAC hardware or errors in macOS. I suggest you visit this third-party website (https://www.tenorshare.com/mac-os/fix-the-application-is-not-open-anymore.html) and try the troubleshooting steps mentioned there. If this doesn't help, you may try using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html) to remove the Illustrator altogether & reinstall once done. Thanks for reaching out. I am afraid there is no default setting in preferences to open "Fit Artboard" every time you launch Illustrator. However, there is a workaround you can do ctrl+0/ cmd+0 (zero) to fit the artboard quickly every time you launch Illustrator.

It can be due to your PC "Scale and Layout" setting under Display Settings. To bypass this dialog box and enter the welcome screen of Illustrator, you need to click on the close icon pointed below in the image with a red arrow.

Sorry about this trouble. It generally happens when there is a conflict of keyboard shortcuts with other applications/extensions/plugins. Try booting the system into Safe Mode (https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode) and check how it works there. It starts your system to perform certain checks and prevents third-party software/ services from automatically loading or opening. If it works fine in Safe mode, then there is some third-party service or application like antivirus, plugins, or web extensions conflicting with the InDesign.
