Hi Anshul, Thank you for your response, but I have to say that your explanation doesn’t make much sense. As digital artists and designers, we use professional graphic tablets and touch displays with styluses — devices that are far more advanced than an iPad in terms of precision, size, and functionality. Could you please clarify why my Wacom Cintiq Pro, for example, would be considered “limited” compared to an iPad, when on Windows the exact same hardware works perfectly fine with Fresco? It would be helpful to understand the technical reasoning behind this decision, as the argument about the lack of a touch screen on Mac simply does not hold up when professional artists are using external hardware specifically designed for this purpose. If you're unable to launch Creative Cloud apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, try restarting your PC and updating the Creative Cloud desktop app. Ensure your antivirus or firewall isn’t blocking it, and try running the app as an administrator. I am having the exact same problem with the exact tablet and nearly identical hardware. The pen works perfectly for any software but the GT-191 V2. I can use my mouse without an issue then pick up the pen and it lags so badly its not usable. This is a real problem because Fresco is my go to software on iPad Pro 13" and desktop. Help Please

Apple is lying to you. The message just means that Illustrator has the permission , not that it is actively recording the screen. Just turn off the permission in the system settings.

This is happening to me as well. I opened an .ai file originally created in 2024 with dozens of photos placed (linked, not embedded). Had no issues with photos auto-rotating when I created the document, saved pressready PDFs, and printed. As of today, every time I open the file, 17 of the photos (out of maybe 100; all jpgs) are rotated 90 degrees. I've corrected them within Illustrator three times, and when reopening the file, they revert to rotation. The original files in the packaged links folder are not flipped. Mac, Illustrator 29.2.1, file is packaged and saved in Dropbox.

The fact that they keep stating they are "unable to replicate the issue" is almost as frustrating as this issue itself. Of course they are unable to replicate because it is something that happens randomly! Sometimes I go days without it happening even one time and other days it happens between every single new file I make (for context I am creating around x10-x25 new files per day, all with different sizes and bleed settings as well). This has been happening for over a year now, and is extremely dangerous for me specifically because I am working with print production files for large format event signage which need to be extrememly accurate in order to fit dims provided by our CAD department for custom structures. I have to triple check every time I make a new file that my sizes match what I intend to avoid expensive reprints. I have gotten into the habit now of verifying my entered sizes, but this should not be happening with software that we pay so much for. Its actually unacceptable.

Hi Anshul, thanks for the response, and sorry I didnt reply sooner. Please see my answers below: • Does this happen with all files or only specific image formats like JPG or PNG? Not sure, I use almost 100% .JPG for embedded images so can only speak for those. • Can you share some sample Ai files along with images where this occurs? I shall try to attach. • What are your system specs (CPU, GPU, RAM)? DELL Precision 5810 - Intel Xeon E5-1650v3 / 64GB RAM / NVIDIA Quadro M2000 gpu • A screen recording of the issue would also be really helpful for investigation. Will try to attach. Aditional note: I have just opened up some older files (months since opened / saved) and some are affected by the shift.

Wow! I just gave this Vectorizer AI tool a try and the result was unbelievably good. I vectorized an image that has small text with serifs. I wouldn't have to make any tweaks on that result. I can't believe it accurately drew all those tiny serifs. Illustrator has no chance of getting a result like that on small text. The recent updates to Adobe tracing were not improvements in quality. Just other features. It needs quality improvements, but I didn't even imagine this level of quality.

Hey, sorry it's been a while. So here's what happens: I want to create a dashed line, so I change the gap value to my liking and it shows a live preview, but then jumps back to a non dashed line as soon as I click somewhere, while the gap field turns blank. I am attaching a link to a movie showing how I click on [Remember] and you can see that it does not remember the width of 600px the next time I open the 'Save for Web' window. So I tried a bit more: opening existing SVGs, editing them and saving as SVG 1.1 works. Whereas saving existing SVGs as SVG 1.0 does not. Using fresh AI files and saving from there as SVG 1.0 works. So basically roundtripping with SVG 1.0 is boken.

That does sound inconvenient. If you have already enabled Scale Strokes & Effects in Preferences but find that it gets unchecked unexpectedly, this could be due to:
1. Sometimes, Illustrator preferences get corrupted. Try resetting your Illustrator preferences (https://adobe.ly/4i7uEmD) and enabling the Scale Strokes & Effects again.
2. Check if this happens in all new documents or just specific ones.
Let us know if the issue persists after resetting preferences!

The only thing that works is saving as a PDF and reopening after restarting Illustrator. If you have the latest version (2025) at least, the PDF will be intact.

When "text import options" appear while opening an .AI file, in 95% of cases you cannot solve the problem at all anymore.
That's why it's so important to get into a habit that avoids files getting corrupt or at least be prepared with backups.
