Hi @Mike32232381ugye,   From what I’ve observed, Illustrator’s Proof Setup always defaults to CMYK, regardless of whether you select a WEB preset when creating a new document. I tested this behavior across multiple versions from 2019 to 2025, and it has remained consistent. I can’t comment on versions before 2019, but this seems to be how the feature has worked for a while.   Even if you save a file with a different Proof Setup, when you reopen it, Illustrator will revert to Working CMYK. This is not the most efficient behavior, as it ideally should remember your last selection.   If this behavior just started for you recently, could you confirm which version of Illustrator you’re using? Just to clarify, was the file opened in Photoshop by accident?   As this is a Cloud Document, have you checked the Version History to see if an earlier version with separate layers is available? Hi @solihina19525466,   That sounds frustrating, especially since you’ve never installed a Wacom driver before. In some cases, Illustrator relies on the Wacom driver for pen pressure functionality, even for third-party tablets like VEIKK.   I’d recommend installing the official Wacom driver from their website and checking if that resolves the issue. Because I noticed that the document actually always updates, just a little later sometimes. If a customer does not see the update, it is often because they react very quickly. I was in the final stages of a multipage design, and the file froze.  Since then I can't open it at all. I can sometimes get InDesign to open up other files (not always), and never the file I need.  Version 20.1 I have uninstalled and reinstalled ID, turned computer on and off, and all the usual tricks, but I can't access the file at all. @Anshul_Saini I fiddled for days with does settings and turning "tun off for complex files" on or off doesn't make a difference,  If "save in background" is causing crashes is Adobes job to fix this bug" that's my problem right now, I spend hours researching bugs and applying solutions to make my program WORK, I'm paying for the program, it's the most expensive program in paying and at the same time the one I'm having the most trouble with. You find that normal? Can you send a message to the development team? This month I've been compiling a list of every time the program crashed and what was the cause and solution if I found one, is Adobe interested in that list? I'm going to give you an example, a few month ago my program was constantly crashing, even with blue screens, I started to monitor my RAM usage and I noticed it was almost always in 97-98 percent. So my assumption was that I need more RAM, I doubled the amount of RAM, imagine my frustration after that investment, when I see that any time I open illustrator THE RAM IS AT 98% when I got enough of crashes and blue screens and trying to find a solution I contact Adobe. DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT THEY SUGGESTED? to go online to my Adobe account, go to my privacy settings and turning off data collection!  And there was 3 year old posts of people complaining of the same thing. Do to think that's normal? The company never ask permission to turn data collection on, and THEY KNOW IT'S CAUSING SYSTEMS TO CRASH, but they wait until you complain to tell you the solution? Is Adobe going to pay for the data they collected without my permission? Is it going to pay for all the work I lost to that problem? Is it going to pay for the RAM upgrade i didn't need? Is it going to pay for all the hours of research and trouble shutting I did?  Because one thing I know for sure IF I DON'T PAY THIS MONTH I WON'T BE ABLE TO USE THE PROGRAM. Hi @cash_2184,   Thanks for sharing the details! I understand how important it is to maintain the original font encoding. This happens because Illustrator isn’t a full-fledged PDF editor but rather a vector design tool. Also, Illustrator processes text differently from Acrobat or InDesign, which can sometimes lead to changes in font encoding when saving as a PDF.   One way to retain the original appearance is to outline the text before exporting. I am still battling this issue. I have a document that contains socials and poster artboards, with each one linked to the CSV. It works perfectly for the first CSV, but when I go to upload a new CSV file, I'm greeted with the message above. Even if I try to load the exact same unedited file, the same message appears.   The only way I can get it to work is if I delete all of the Variables and datasets, and relink the objects. I know this is an old post, but I have had this trouble for several years. The only solution I've found is to restart the computer. Simply shutting down and restarting InDesign is not enough. I think that explains why others are saying it started working again. I notice it usually happens if I leave InDesign open overnight. But it also happens apparently randomly othertimes, sometimes even right after starting InDesign up. I can't duplicate the problem because I don't know what is causing it. the issue is still there in 2025 Illustrator and 2024, and 2023, and 2022      Select the very top square opposite layer 1 and it selects all the objects bar the object that is locked - it's NOT selected - even though the layers panel says it IS selected       Press delete and they are all deleted Despite the fact you have a LOCKED element - and it's also NOT highlighted by the system (only in the layers panel).     Again, I don't care if anyone calls it a feature, it's a bug in my eyes.    I got pretty passionate and defensive about it in the past - which reading back surprises me, I guess I was frustrated and out of patience which usually doesn't happen that often.   Anyway - the BUG is still there. ...
