Hi @Leif24538953dg5v sorry you are having this issue.
Curious if Control+Alt+6 to close the control panel solves the CPU overage usage?
Thank you,

That might be too far postive. You don't need to go much higher than the default '0' setting. 8 or so seems to give a good result.

I work more on 3D rendering and deep learning than Photoshop image work. However, sometimes i need to use Photoshop to process the example image to be inserted. But even when doing simple tasks, the current Photoshop gives a very slow and unpleasant experience. And a lot of crashes. The performance of my desktop machine is good. Because it's a build for 3D rendering and deep learning. My setting uses amd's Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5995WX and GPU uses RTX 3090TI 24GB model. As far as I know, the weight of this Photoshop started in 2021. Of course, working in large sizes can slow down the operation of the program. But when I'm working as a sample, at least when I'm using Photoshop, it's the normal size of the picture and I don't use a lot of layers. Two at most? I never experienced a "delay" in any kind of work after completing my desktop build like this. There was no delay in the heavy load over 48 hours. But the current Photoshop is already slow from loading. Because each user has a different computer specification, the "feel" that each person experiences will be different. But at least I'm a top-tier, high-end PC that I can't even upgrade my computer anymore, and I definitely feel that the program hasn't been optimized.

Hi @Angelo24508402s50b, sorry you are seeing this. You say you maxed out the ram in performance, we advise not setting this to anything past 70%.
Is this issue new or when did it first show up?
It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
Thank you,

Thanks everyone for the replies. I did as suggested, turning off the GPU and recalibrating my screen with new profiles (version 2). It seems to be working. Still a few bugs e.g.: if I use a brush, and I clic, after the clic the brush leaves a ghost which desappears as soon as I move the image. Another one I don't if it's a bug, to save .tiff with layers requires to save as a copy. Best,

Hi Cory,
I'd like to make a counter-request for NO MORE BIG BLUE BUTTONS please! Both Hamburger menu > Save and Cmd+S are sufficient.
Thank you!

Just for giggles and grins try select all, leave all the grey around it. See if it is off the board. I have had that happen. Worth a shot.

After second session with support we found problem: its was 1) filter NIK collection error 2) something else, what was solved by reset setting or/and reinstalling PS. Now its work I could not figure out what was wrong, because I immediately tried to load without filters, but the crashes continued. After a bunch of reinstalls and resets PS stopped crashes if im load without filters

Hi @batilly84, sorry you are seeing this. Couple things to try:
We have other reports that MachinePrefs.psp was causing this issue.

Quit Photoshop
Navigate to Photoshop's Preferences folder.
macOS: Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
Windows: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
Remove the file called MachinePrefs.psp from inside the settings folder and move it to your desktop

If that fixes the issue, please share the MachinePrefs.psp file.
It would also be good to update to the lateste version of Photoshop.
Thank you,

A system crash usually means a low level failure such as a driver (bad video card driver, etc), failing hardware (hard disk, video card, etc.) or damaged OS installation.
So it's probably something related to the Finder that's crashing specific to that CD ROM.
Photoshop might have saved a path to where you were browsing. To release that, try restoring your preferences using this manual method: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually Does it work correctly? If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back. If it does solve the problem, I would like to get the folder of settings to try and figure out what is bad with them.

Hi @olá mundo, sorry you are having issues.
A system hang or freeze requiring a computer restart usually means a low level failure such as a driver (bad video card driver, etc), failing hardware (hard disk, video card, etc.) or damaged OS installation. Please make sure all drivers and OS are updated, then restart. Does the problem still exist?

OMG thank you sooo much! This was it for me! Cannot believe that such a small thing made such a difference - but I already thought, it has something to do with the chain icon and that it is sticky somehow. Thanks for the explanation, everything works now as it should. 🙂 Glad to be able to work as I want to now. Thank you very much! Have a nice week. Magdalena

CMD+1 CMD+2 CMD+number works with my Czech MO Qwerty keyboard. It works in Chrome too. I can upload a video with a demonstration. In Finder CMD+1, 2, 3 changes the display of Icons, List, Columns, Gallery. I have no problems anywhere... Can you send me a video showing the problem?

Unfortunately, this is surely just a web page designed to "sell" Restoro. I see this over and over - pages claiming to be troubleshooting helpers, which contain some good, useful steps and end by suggesting you use a particular tool or download. These tools or downloads often contain malware. Often they are automatically generated for thousands of "troubles". General advice: be VERY cautious when following troubleshooting steps you find with a web search, unless it's on the original company's own site. The "scratch disk full" issue seems to always mean what it says - the disk is indeed filling up, and there are a number of different causes. But registry error? Make sure to capture nasty surprise error messages.

Hi @Marcial Reiley, sorry you are having issues with the legacy save. We just tested here and it is working as expected, so let's see if we can sort out what might have changed for you.
Everything worked as you expected up until you updated Ps? Any other changes other than that?

Hi @ashantip81193483 I'm sorry to hear about the problems you're having. Can you give us a bit more information? I understand you are using Windows (10 or 11?) and this is happening with the latest release of Photoshop 2022 (desktop), which is version 23.3.2. How much installed system RAM does your computer have? 16GB or more? Are you saying that you don't get this error if you revert to Photoshop 2021?
Is your Help > GPU Compatibility panel showing all green checks like this? If not, you'll need to look at the recommended fixes.
You can also check under Edit > Preferences > Performance to see how your settings are configured. You should only let Photoshop use about 70% of your available memory. Under "Use Graphics Processor," in the Advanced Settings, try unchecking GPU compositing. Be sure to close and restart Photoshop after making any changes.
If none of these fixes stop the RAM error you are getting, in Photoshop under Help > System Info, copy the report and post it here for us to review.

If turning OFF GPU works, it's a GPU bug and you need to contact the manufacturer or find out if there's an updated driver for it. Also see: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/acr-gpu-faq.html

The most reliable solution for me is just turning off G-sync straight up, but I do play games on the same computer I use Photoshop on, so always going to the control panel every time I play and use Photoshop to switch G-sync gets annoying. Fortunately, someone made a program to switch G-sync on and off more convenient: GsyncSwitch by kwizatz88 on GitHub. The program allows you to switch G-sync, as well as other monitor tech, directly from the System Tray.
