I actualy started making my own user friendly help manual.... designed for new users. Lots of pictures, answers lots of the basic quiestions new users have. I used PSE 2020 to start it with. https://www.dropbox.com/s/320x7zt5rz670br/ch1%20and%20ch2%20%20an%20ch3%20.pdf?dl=0 Below is one of the pages from the "manual"--- alot of the last bunch of pages are blank- and the table of contents is not completly updated. The users is this group could easilly "crowdsource" our own, user freindly manual. The adobe help stuff is pretty dry.

Look here: C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\18.0\Presets\Brushes (18 is pse 2020-- 19 is pse 2021) The "user" is generally whatever name you gave your account when setting up windows... i didn't name anything so it says "user"- whats important is the roaming directory, not the program files directory. Just go to the brushes pre set folder and delete what you dont want.

Why bother? I just take my images like that (bigger than 8.5. x 11) on a thumb drive to a local print place hand have them print it up for me at the size-- which would cost me about 60 cents... I save tons of time by doing that. The suggestion by Greg S is about the only way you can do it- and it's going to produce poor looking results regardless of how careful you are cuttiing things.

Your answer is probably not correct. He is implying full justifcation- the 9 year old post you cited is not corrrect. Full justifcation is not possible in PSE.

Non there is not. Only Left / center / right justifiction is built in. You would have to get "elements+" for full justification. About Elements+ (elementsplus.net)

Yes, but not from the mocrosoft store. Purchase it from the main adobe site. During the checkout process there will be a llittle box you check for having a previous version. Typically, in the U.S. it knows off $20 off the current price. It's not a upgrade, it's a brand new installation. Your prrevious version remains untouched. You will be prompted during the isntallion process about importing your catalogues, just do it.

If you meant the font's (text) used in the interface, there is nothing you can do about it. The size it dispalys at is it.

Typically you just add some text or whater it is, a picture for example, and it works. A screenshot of you entire program wouldn't hurt, when this happens. Simplfying the layer may help.

The location for brushes on my windows computer, using PSE 2021 (Adobe calls it 19, PSE 2020 was 18): C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\19.0\Presets\Brushes In MACS: The application data folder on Mac, like some other operating systems, is hidden. So to navigate to it in the normal way, you need to show the hidden files in the Finder. Press Command + Shift + It says user after Users because I never named my account- what's important is that you locate the appdata \ roaming directory. In windows there is a APPDATA LOCAL folder, and an APPDATA ROAMING folder. You need to locate the MAC equivilant of the AAPP DATA ROAMING folder. When I download a brush file (an .ABR file) I just drag it into my quick linked brush folder.

You gotta buy te latest version.... Free upgrade? Never. During the checkout process ( if you buy it from the adobe site, and you've registered that ancient version) there is a box you check for "I've got a previous version," Adobe verifies it right quick, and you get $20 off, typically. With photshop elements it's never "an upgrade" -- each version is a brand new installation. Typically only a couple of "behind the scenes" type of updates are issued-- it's never any new features.

That's not an option in PSE. I bought "Scan Speeder" to scan in hundreds of post cards---- I can scan three at a time- it separates them into their own files, it does not "Auto straighten" but it's easy to to. Lots of variables to set up. I've found that I generally have to "despeckle" the post card scans- in particular with photo postcards from the 60's.

I looked into this (that means I did a bucnh of google searches)-- a simliar issue arose abotu 3 years ago. The "corection" involves the system font cache. The cause has been attributed, in the past, to some oddball fonts- workarounds inclded deleted those fonts. Ways to Clear Font Cache on Windows (wondershare.com) This is just one way- DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK, and pelase don't blame me for anything the goes wrong. In a discussion about CS6 (from last year) a couple of people deleted a bunch of fonts, til lthe number of installed fonts was below 1000- and that fixed it for them . In another discussion- which referenced the same issue (from 2011) is was attributed to screen resolution being set to high (I'm not even sure if that is possible now).....

So Adobe should not be compensated for new software developement? That's not how software works. That's like buying a car 8 years ago, and going to the dealer today demanding a free car becaouse you boguht a car 8 years ago.

make a new catalogue, give it a name, any name don't matter what you call it. SKIP the importing window that pops up (the skitp choice) is in the bottom right corner of the pop up. Gp back to FILE > MANAGE CATALOGUES and delect the mucked up one.

I've had a simliar problem with one chip, on one camera. I was the cause of it. I had manually deleted some photos while the chip was in the chip reader, isntead of using the camera to do the deleting. I'ce got a usb dongle (A multi media reader) that I would put the chip in and plug that into a usb port to get organizer to do it's "auto import" stuff. MY FIX? I re formatted the chip, using the camera to do the formatting.
