@defaultclntz85ad7zj sorry to hear your frustations....i bleed Adobe for over 25 years now, and I would NOT consider any other applications for my work or personal stuff. Unless, the application is being taken out of the line-up. That's the whole point of updates, is to make it better.

@glamorous_mindset7392 Adobe would not ask you to use the web version... if you received an email stating that, it's likely your account might got hacked? I would go into the adobe.com and look at the devices, and if you see aything that doesn't look familiar, deactivate them. If you can, maybe try using the desktop application. Update to the latest version to benefit from bug fixes and performance improvements. If you truly want to use the web-based version, try temporarily disabling and re-enabling the web-based access feature in Acrobat's settings. Because of computer resources to internet connection, this could be a reason why you have issues locking up, you need to make sure the internet is stable... hence, why I say try using the desktop version instead

@danieli4827846 I have a feeling with having Acrobat Reader then remnants of Acrobat Pro is conflicting each other. I would uninstall with Adobe Cleaner from Adobe's website, which can fix many common problems such as removing old Adobe software, cleaning corrupt installation files, and fixing your host files to establish a connection with Adobe servers. https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html Once that is done, I go back to the adobe.com and install Acrobat Pro. And hopefully, that resolves the issue

@cooper_9981 The error message you're encountering, "The URL you have provided could not be reached," when attempting to use the 'Send for Shared Commenting' feature in Adobe Acrobat with SharePoint integration, indicates a breakdown in the connection between Acrobat and your SharePoint server. This issue likely stems from recent changes in network configurations, SharePoint settings, or Adobe Acrobat updates. Given that the functionality was previously working, it suggests a disruption rather than a fundamental incompatibility. To resolve this, you'll need to verify the URL being used (make sure https:// is used for security), ensure your network can access SharePoint, and check for any recent updates or modifications to either Acrobat or SharePoint that might have affected the integration.

@Heidi31321447zawk when I read the post, you wrote: 'My company pays for Adobe Suite' — Adobe Suite is the older versions of CS which has been discontinued in 2012. Adobe transitioned to its Creative Cloud (CC) subscription model since then. So, in this case, your company should be using updated software which likely is causing those issues, because, I don't experience the tagging issues, and I use this for a 48 page document to a 96 page document with no issues. Overall, tagging, especially in complex documents with tables, images, and delicate layouts, is resource-intensive. Depending on your computer hardware, on some computers, Acrobat might struggles with managing these resources in large documents, leading to glitches and instability. I would close other applications to free up system resources, turn off any streaming app and increase Acrobat's memory allocation (if possible).

@Theo Adema that's a camera issue what you posted. I would actually use Adobe Scan from the App or Play Store for your mobile device. I would only use the Adobe Scan as the only PDF scanner for a mobile device. It will scan (takes a photo) and can save the receipt as a PDF and clearer and whiter. I do this all the time when I need to submit receipts. I would tape the receipts on a wall. Turn the office light on and use Adobe Scan and it works like a charm!

@E8192121 totally frustrating when an app behaves inconsistently, especially when it works on other devices! When was the last time, the iPad was restarted? A simple restart can often resolve temporary software glitches. As well, when was the last time Acrobat was updated? Not all iPads are the same, some are older, some are newer. Some have more storage, and some have less storage. Low storage space can sometimes cause apps to malfunction and give you those issues! If there are still issues, I would even consider, uninstall and reinstall the app to rule out corrupted data. It truly sounds this one iPad is a lemon!

@HustonCMichael I think adobe integrate its functionality with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) so that it can enable the features like "Create PDF" directly from within those programs. You could turn them off by default. Turning off macros by default in Microsoft Office involves adjusting the Trust Center settings. The steps vary slightly depending on the version of Office you're using,

@vivianl1673644 The issue of the problem lies in how your printer's scanning software interacts with Adobe's cloud-based services. When you scan a document, your Brother printer's software likely sends the scanned image to Adobe's cloud through a built-in integration, assuming you want to use the PDF Pack's online features. Because you're seeing the "you need an Adobe subscription" message, it indicates that the integration is recognizing your Adobe account but is not properly validating your current PDF Pack subscription for the specific action of downloading the file. This often happens when remnants of a previous Adobe installation or account authentication are still present. In this case, I would probably uninstall Acorbat with the help of Adobe Cleaner from Adobe's website. It can fix many common problems such as removing old Adobe software! https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html and then install the Adobe Acrobat PDF Pack. Once that is done, I would go back to Brother printer. Brother's printers (ikely has its own scanning software that creates PDF files. This is separate from Adobe Acrobat PDF Pack.) Either change or correctly linked to your active Adobe Acrobat PDF Pack subscription. Unfortunately, there's typically no direct "pairing" process like Bluetooth pairing. The connection is more about authenticating your Adobe account within the scanning software's settings or through the Adobe services accessed by that software. To begin, check your Brother printer's software (often called ControlCenter4 or similar) for any Adobe-related settings. You might find an option to sign in with your Adobe ID or to manage connected services. If there's an existing login, try signing out and then signing back in with the Adobe ID associated with your PDF Pack subscription. This will refresh the authentication and should, in theory, allow the software to recognize your active subscription.
If you don't find any Adobe-specific settings within the printer's software, the issue might stem from your web browser or operating system's cached credentials. Since the Adobe PDF Pack is primarily web-based, your browser might be holding onto old login information from your previous Adobe product. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, then restarting your computer. After restarting, attempt another scan and see if you're prompted to sign in to Adobe. If so, use the Adobe ID associated with your PDF Pack subscription. Also, within your operating system, especially if you are on Windows, check your "Credential Manager" for any stored Adobe credentials, and delete them. This will force a fresh authentication. If the issue persists, consider contacting Adobe support. They can investigate your account and help you troubleshoot any authentication problems between your Adobe PDF Pack subscription and your Brother printer's scanning software. https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/document-cloud/faq/adobe-pdfpack-faq.html https://support.brother.ca/app/answers/list/st/5/kw/control/p/9076/page/1

@AndreasEH-FFM The online version of Outlook integration of "print to PDF with attachments" feature you used likely relied is not generally available in web browsers. When you print from Outlook.com, you're essentially printing the rendered HTML of the email. Attachments are separate files and not included in that rendering. You might have to change the workflow and manually download each attachment and then use Adobe Acrobat Pro to combine them with the PDF of the email?

@paulo_8095 It seems like the issue might be related to your internet connection, especially if the PDF is quite large. Sometimes, even if our connection seems okay, larger files can highlight any underlying instability. It's also possible that the PDF itself is quite big because of its high quality and hi resolution images too as well. Sometimes, when a document is created, the creator might not realize how large the file will be, or perhaps they didn't have the tools to optimize it for smaller file size. It's an easy thing to overlook.

@jameso32010578 when I log in to adobe.com, we as the instructors and students we don't log into adobe.com with our email address.... if you are using an education account, when you to the adobe.com, you need to enter @schoolsdomain.com
Then it should take you to the school's learning portal, and there you can enter the user's email address and password, and enter the 2FA authentication if the school uses one. This is how two of the schools have set that up. And that's how the IT team has also instructed us to use.

@greg_3378 I just tried with my Acrobat Pro on my desktop, and I was able to combine PDFs by right-clicking on the PDF, Search for Tools, which allows me to open the Combine Tool. Select the PDFs and insert it wherever I want. It took me a few seconds. So, on my end, it worked perfectly and quickly. So, if you are using the web version, maybe switch back to the desktop if you had success in the past.

@an_3217 first of all, you need to understand why people encrypt PDFs? And its to protect sensitive information. Imagine sending a contract, a report, or confidential legal document; encryption acts like a digital lock, ensuring only authorized recipients can open or modify it. This prevents unauthorized access, copying, or printing, safeguarding private data from prying eyes. Essentially, it adds a layer of security, giving the sender peace of mind that their information remains secure. To answer your question, 'How do you download and make any changes from an encrypted PDF link provided?' — ask the person for the password to open the PDF.

On your MAC, do as search on your Mac's hard drive for this folder, Recovered Files, It's a long shot, but worth checking.

@MichaelBedgood at Gmail The first flag for me was "Acobat X Pro CD with serial from a computer store on March 3rd" — According to the information available, Adobe Acrobat X Pro (version 10.0) was released on: November 15, 2010 — It's 2025, it is now considered a legacy product. Buying very old software has inherent risks. In this case, it isn't brand new software, you essentially bought used software, where the store has it actively active. Hate to say it, but you got scammed by the business!

@jctech2025 Unfortunately, there's no direct way to do that. Think of it like this: Adobe Fonts are designed to work within Adobe's applications. Google Docs, on the other hand, operates within the web-based world, relying on its own library of web-friendly fonts. These two systems don't speak the same "language" when it comes to fonts. The best solution is to use a Windows or Mac computer.

If my current Adobe subscription ends, will I still have access to Adobe XD, or will it be removed entirely from my account? No. Only availaible for an 'Active' 'All Apps Subscription.'
If I do not renew my subscription immediately and decide to renew it after 1-2 months, will Adobe XD still be included in my Adobe Creative Cloud subscription then? Yes, only availaible from the 'All Apps Subscription.'
Is there any alternative way to continue using Adobe XD under Adobe’s licensing, or is it now entirely unavailable for new and returning subscribers? Only availaible from the 'All Apps Subscription.'

@Giddy_Sunflower5063 The "maximum number of computers available" message means the serial number has already been used on the allowed number of devices. Typically, this is around two computers. Older versions of Acrobat that used serial numbers had much stricter limitations on the number of computers they could be installed and activated on. These licenses often had a fixed number of activations, and moving the software to a new computer required deactivating it on the old one. Maybe it's time to update Acrobat, with modern Adobe Acrobat subscriptions, you can install the software on many computers, but you can only be actively signed in on a limited number (around two) at any given time.

@ken_9320 It sounds like your user's is currently associated with a personal Adobe account, likely a free trial of PDF Reader Premium. This is why they're being prompted to purchase the premium version instead of being added to the company account. To resolve this, log out of their personal email account and is solely associated with the company's Adobe account only. Once any personal accounts or trials are removed, have the user accept the company account invitation again. This should then properly associate their email address with the company's Adobe account and grant them the correct access.
