Hi João! Great!   Yeah, it's been there and causing problems since at least Flash 8.    I haven't dug into its reason for existence, but it seems that the newer versions don't record this path when copy/pasting symbols from one saved document to another, while Flash 8 does. So maybe they've quietly 'fixed' the issue without providing a way of erasing the data.   This was probably intended to be part of some multi-user workflow, later abandoned, where assets could be external and reside in shared locations.   ps. Just checked. This was introduced in Flash MX (6) and persists through to CS4 (10). CS5 is the first version which does not add the path to symbols when copy/pasting.   ... View more

Hi João,   Yes, we've had to deal with this persistent and unwanted path several times. Here is one way of getting rid of it, which I have discovered through experimentation:   1. Create a blank, new, unsaved document. 2. Copy the symbol with the path and paste it in the new document. 3. Enter the symbol and make a small change to its timeline: I extend it by one frame or add a blank new layer. 4. Exit and copy this altered symbol. 5. Paste it back into the original document, replacing the original Library item. 6. Check for the path - it should be gone. 7. Yes, you should get one image per frame of your project. That is why it is called an image sequence, in this case a PNG sequence. To export PNG sequence correctly, use File > Export > Export Movie... and from Save as type choose PNG Sequence. For PNG settings, choose: Check the PNGs to make sure the camera-related problems are not visible there. PNGs should look exactly like what you see in the program.   If you have audio, either export it separately as well or use the audio from the video with the broken camera in your video editor. How to assemble the PNGs into a video in Premiere is explained step-by-step in the thread that I linked in my first post. The error-proof way is to nest everything inside a synced graphic container and use that container as a camera. Animate has most likely been abandoned. (Read this thread.) It was never made fully compatible with the latest Apple processors and Operating Systems. As time goes by, expect more and more things to break, esp. on Apple which are notorious for poor legacy features and support.   If you need to keep using Flash/Animate, consider a Windows computer. Movie Clips are only for interactive projects. If your project is not interactive, use Graphic symbols, not Movie Clips. Graphics can be set to Loop, Single Frame and Play Once.
