@Ku290263886mpa For me the bug is here already in 24.0 but much less present, yet it's tedious when trying to draw fast strokes. Also it does seem to depend on zoom levels (?). Not sure if it's related to what @Przemek27842062wc9o said but I notice that the layers+history menus tend to flicker when the file/canvas slides under them while drawing. Weird. To be honest there are all kinds of weird bugs (weird because they concern basic tools) : drawing lagging when you rotate canvas, move tool not working when you try to move selections on too short distances with the mouse (you have to use your keyboard's arrow keys), transformation tool not working properly when you type ctrl+h (hiding the transformation controls)... Any news on this bug ? I notice that even in 24.0.0, when i draw small strokes or "fast" strokes (like cross-hatching), the same bug appears (cursor turning to white arrow, buffering distording the stroke). ... View more

While we're at it, is there a logical reason why the brush is more responsive (the line is more fluid, there's less delay between the pose of my pen on the screen and the appearing of the line) with the "airbrush" option on ? @PECourtejoieOk, so, I had a bit of time on my hands today so I tried the solutions provided here : re-upgraded to 24.1 and deleted Machineprefs.psp. But the bug is still here. @Jqqerry: Hi, I thought I replied to you but apparently it didn't register... Well, actually what I said is that I have this thing with the brush cursor flickering to a white arrow when I open a new document or create a new layer, and it SEEMS to go away if, say, when I create a new layer, I click on the last history state in the history menu/panel. Then I can go on drawing without flicker. And you have to go click in the history each time you create a new layer before drawing on it. Doesn't seem to make much sense so I don't know if it's the right method but the flickering/buffering seems to point to a problem with memory or cache or something so maybe the history is linked to it. ... @CShubert Hi, thanks for your reply. Actually i have downloaded the latest update for my graphics driver. I also clicked on "disable native canvas" and it doesn't make a difference. To be clear I already fiddled with a lot of preference settings (checked/unchecked every tecnology previews, tried several different cache, memory levels, number of recently open files etc.) it doesn't change anything. Hi, I noticed lately on Photoshop 24.1 that my brush cursor is flickering as if there were some lag/buffer when I'm drawing. Usually when i draw small lines rapidly (like hatchings, to give you the idea). The usual cursor of the brush shape disappears during one 10th of second or 1 second and turns to the normal white arrow mouse cursor. I signal this bug because it doesn't seem to happen on Photoshop 23.5.3 that  i have also installed on my computer. Both versions are up to date and I checked the same performance settings on both. Yeah it sounds all related to this change in use of GPU from Photoshop 22 going forward. I went through a bunch of technicians myself (had even a phonecall with someone from Adobe in California although I'm in France) and the diagnosis was just "your graphic card isn't powerful enough".
