@Kevin Stohlmeyer I do not change the structure of the document and the file format when saving through the action, that is, whether this option is enabled or not does not matter (checked - the error occurs both with it and without it). Rewriting the save command in the action doesn't help either.
As a temporary solution, I use the close command with save confirmation.

I think you should be able to set things like color temperature to camera defaults or auto when you open to camera RAW. By @digicube
1. Set white balance to "Auto" or "As shot"
2. Create preset
3. Set preset options
4. Set this preset as defalt to your camera

DPI = Dots Per Inch (in digital files, dimensions are indicated not as DPI, but as PPI, but, at the user level, we do not distinguish between these terms)
600 pixels/cm not equal 600 pixels per inch
600 pixels/cm equal 1524 pixels per inch
You increase the number of pixels in the file by 2.54 times and then wonder what you get from a script that counts them as incorrect (in your opinion) 🤷

I'm sorry, but this sounds absurd. If your image has ACTUALLY 95534348 pixels, then why do you need to know how many of them Photoshop uses in its calculations? If you change Photoshop's performance settings, the numbers will be completely different. How can you base your calculations on these values if they have nothing to do with the physical process of printing?
By the way, I noticed one mistake that probably affects your results - above you write that you change the file resolution to 600 dpi. At the same time, the file you attached has a resolution of 600 pixels/cm (!!!). This is 1524 pixels/inch. If we change the file resolution to 600 pixels/inch, we get a value of 14808800 pixels in the image, which is (apparently) much closer to the result you expect. Please check it.

If the table contains less than 256 colors, then the logic changes - the last 2 bytes are always FF FF, the previous 2 bytes are the number of colors in the palette.
In other words, if the file is 768 bytes, then everything is simple - it always contains 256 colors without transparency.
If the file is 772 bytes, then read the last 2 bytes of the file:
1. If this is 00 FF, then we are dealing with a palette of 255 colors + transparency
2. If it's FF FF, then it's a palette with less than 256 colors. Read the previous two bytes to get the number of colors in the palette.
P.S. I don't have a color table with less than 256 colors from previous versions of Photoshop, but I admit that they could be 678 bytes (i.e. the limited palette marker at the end of the file was not used, instead all unused colors were simply filled with zeros). I tried manually deleting the last 4 bytes in the palette-limited file, and Photoshop accepted the file with no problem.

You see the cached histogram. Caching levels (which you can set in the performance settings) allow you to speed up the application due to the fact that Photoshop divides the bitmap into small tiles (something like a reduced copy of the image in memory), in particular, this approach allows you to speed up the display of histograms.

I have explained to you the difference between 768 and 772 bytes long color tables above. The new Photoshop can easily create a 768-byte color table if you turn off the use of transparency when converting to indexed colors.

Are you using a previously saved file that has been converted to indexed colors? This option may have been set before (the transparency marker will be in the table even if the file does not have transparent pixels). Try converting it to RGB and convert to indexed colors again.
I don't fully understand what you are trying to do, but if you want to read *.acl file, just make sure its size is a multiple of 3 bytes. Or sequentially read three bytes and each time make sure that the rest of the file is not equal to 4 (this will be a sign of the presence of a transparency marker)

It seems that the causes of this problem are related to a bug that I once wrote about. It hasn't been fixed yet.

No.
When you see a table that is 772 bytes long, the last 2 bytes is number of colors in palette (00 ff), previous 2 bytes is transparency marker (01 00), also 3 bytes before the transparency marker - the color of transparency (ff ff ff ). That is, in fact, the table with the transparency option enabled consists of 255 colors, not 256.
If this checkbox is disabled, the file size will be 768 bytes.

After updating to the latest version of Photoshop, I noticed that files opened via the command line open with a noticeable delay.
The file type does not matter - it can be an action, preset, image file. If we open it from Photoshop's menu (or using drag&drop), it opens almost instantly. If we pass a file as a command line argument (for example, from Bridge or any file manager), then there is a delay of about two seconds.
I did not notice this behavior before and it affects the speed of my work. I admit that the problem may be in the operating system, but I could not reproduce this behavior on any other program I have installed.

That's right - double click on slider resetting the brush size.
When using a pen, I very rarely access the brush panel for resizing, it is much more convenient to do this by holding down alt on the keyboard and the "left mouse" button on the pen itself. Move up and down to adjust the hardness of the brush, move to the right or left to adjust the size of the brush:
If you need to specify the exact size of the brush and you cannot control double taps with the pen enough, then I recommend setting the position of the size slider not by clicking on the desired position, but by moving it (that is, press the pen and drag the slider to the desired position)

No, there is no limit.
I process up to 25 thousand images with one script without problems. Run the script in the code editor and see what error it crashes with - this will help you solve the problem. If you use recursive functions, then the script may crash due to a call stack overflow - I have encountered such an effect, so I always try to first save the list of files into a separate array, and then sequentially process it avoiding recursions. It is also possible that the script crashes due to lack of disk space.
If you post your script, I can try it on my image set.

Working with text formatting is one of the non-trivial tasks in Photoshop - you need to get the target layer's style sheet, figure out which style applies to which piece of text, then change the borders of each style to match the corresponding pieces of new text.
This thread has a good example of replacing the contents of a text layer while keeping the formatting: How to copy (save) styles (typeface, font size, design, etc.) of arbitrary text fragments and apply them to new text layer fragments?
In the example, the formatting copied word by word. As far as I understand, your task is similar, only paragraph separation (they can be found using line feed characters)

You can do it with frame tool, actions and my script from How to change the order of open documents for an action?
a slightly different approach you can see in this thread - repeats the layer , Sort Layer and Auto Arrange by position

For some reason, the answer button does not work on the computer, so I will write briefly from the phone: when iterating over files in a directory, you write to the iFile variable a file object belonging to the Scripting.FileSystemObject class, while the appRef.Open() function expects to receive a string value. Not an object. When you call WScript.Echo("FileName: "& iFile) you think it's a string variable, but it's not (it's just that WScript.Echo is not so critical about type conversion).
That is, to avoid an error, before calling the appRef.Open() function, you need to convert the iFile object to a string:
set docref = appRef.Open(CStr(iFile), pdfOpenOptionsRef)

The frame tool is not a mask, but a kind of hybrid between a smart object and a layer group.
go to "Preferences" -> "General" and enable "Resize image during place" option
after that try dragging the image into the frame rectangle again
Based on what you wrote, I would agree that it would be a clear improvement to have the frame tool automatically create a frame along the borders of the selection (if there is one in the document). Now the frame needs to be drawn every time.

try to change
$.setenv("myFolder_doc_env", encodeURI(SetPath2));
to
$.setenv("myFolder_doc_env", encodeURI(SetPath).replace(/\%0A$/,''));
* originally I thought we were talking about copying plain text. When you specified that we are talking about file paths, I did not take into account that when we read a file, we get a line feed character at the end of the line. In Windows this is not critical for local paths, but is important for network paths

try this:
#target photoshop
var f = new File(Folder.temp + '/script.vbs'),

f.open("w");
f.encoding = "UTF8";
f.write(s);
f.close()
f.execute()
$.sleep(500)
var c = new File(Folder.temp + '/clipboard.txt'),
s = '';
if (c.exists) {
c.open("r");
s = c.read();

Create a shortcut of Photoshop and move it to folder
%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\sendTo
After that, the Photoshop icon will appear in the "Send to" context menu and you can open mutliple files with it.
I recommend that you use Adobe Bridge as a viewer of images - in addition to the fact that it is a very convenient program with many functions, it is completely integrated into the Adobe ecosystem, it does not have any problems to send mutliple files to Photoshop.
