In that case the only meaningful information about the poster would be the appropriate logo, either the Adobe A or the Jolly Roger.
That being impossible, let us keep the appearance of the forums as it is.

>the look of the forum trial was more similar to the Fusetalk forums that what this side looks like. Based on only that knowledge, a lot of people assumed that it was on the Fusetalk platform.
I, for one, have been convinced of that until now.
I was one of the few able to access the forums at all, and determined enough to struggle keeping the forums running, commenting and giving answers to users in need. It was a nightmare, but it showed a great strength and unity among users/hosts. I should hate to see it all be lost.
I, as is Don, am afraid that the forums will lose many good people if the appearance of these forums is shattered. I found the very appearance very difficult, tiring, and detrrent.

Jime,
>Why is this not the place for that?
Because this is on the other side seen from the other side.
But please do not tell anyone about us.

>No, they aren't on the same layer...should they be?
Not necessarily: it would probably be convenient to have the squares on the lower/lowest layer, and possibly the objects on different layers, obviously with the foreground in the highest layer, to completely avoid any mess.

If it is an Acrobat issue, I am afraid a reinstall/upgrade is needed.

For those still without a solution, it may be worth trying this:
Jacob Bugge, "An unknown error has occurred (-108). Adobe illustrator will now quit." #5, 6 Jun 2008 3:04 am
or deleting all these:
Harron K. Appleman, "An unknown error has occurred (-108). Adobe illustrator will now quit." #10, 6 Jun 2008 10:43 am
or just try to
Move the folder

Does any of our hosts have any news?

Long live the threads.
Sometimes, some of us even rescue choice threads at the very brink of the abyss.
Better slow than lost, said one of the lucky ones that never find(s) the forums slow.

I was in a hurry with the screenshot, last night before closing down; I would have moved the Layers Palette into the frame to show that there were an unselected path beneath the selected one, but the Charcter Palette slipped in.

Daniel,
You can:
1. Create a straight path at least as long as the radius starting at 0,0;
2. Select (one of) the Reference Point(s) in the Transform Palette yielding 0,0;
3. Ctrl+C and Ctrl+F and select 120 degrees, still in the Tranform Palette;
4. Repeat 2 and 3;
5. Create the circle and move the centre to 0,0;
6. Select all, Pathfinder>Divide, and Control+Shift+G to Ungroup.
This is the Divide a Circle into Thirdendeals Thread.

Claudio, I am. About a month ago, the old C drive died; before that there were issues with the D drive, and it had become impossible to burn backups. Since then, multiple attempts to start up on new drives and get everything out of the old ones. Post #357 was the first thing I did on my first time back on the forums. Now everything is fine, with images of the entire C new drive on the new D drive, and only a few things to get out of the old C drive, which requires its going to a deep freezer for a while.
