Sure. Post 'em here if you want. The plan is to replace the form here: http://adobe.ly/ReportBug with this site. We just haven't cut it over yet. (wanted to make sure things here were up and running smoothly first)

Good point, Pierre. It probably wouldn't be too hard for someone in the community to pull something together pretty quick using that example.

John's right, this should be fixed when the final version of 3.4 is released. Thanks Rob and John.

Hey Marc, Thanks. I didn't mean to bust your chops. I just wanted an example to show to users that illustrates that what seems like a simple request can bring up complicated questions. You're right, they can be overcome - but need care consideration.

I agree. There are some institutions that don't allow saving to cloud based services, but I think the mechanism could be used to package up stuff locally for back-up, sneaker net or private network transfers.

What happens when you have a hundred layers filtered down to 3 layers using a search and you change the z-order of one of the current layers?

Thanks. I'll have someone investigate. Is it alright if an engineer or quality engineer contacts you directly if they have any questions?

I agree. The better case a user makes for their idea the more likely other customers and developers on the product teams will see value in the idea.

I know that there are bug fixes that have been made to 3.4 since they posted the 3.4 release candidate (based on feedback from that build posting) - so she may be referencing that. I'll let Julie clarify.

Hi Julian, great idea.
There is a workaround that may work for you in the meantime. Trevor Morris has created some slick scripts to do this:
Distribute Layers Horizontally - This script distributes all selected layers horizontally, so that the layers are evenly spaced.
Distribute Layers Vertically - This script distributes all selected layers vertically, so that the layers are evenly spaced.

Kris, good request. I think this is something we should investigate improving. The ability to change the color could also help users who have trouble seeing certain colors (color blindness) as well.
I would look at this at this topic to improve the visibility of Paths and Guides in Photoshop CS5:
It's hard to see the paths/lines that are drawn using the pen tool in Photoshop CS5.

Apple released the 10.6.7 update for OS X today. This update corrects an issue introduced in the 10.6.5 update that affected modifier keys while using Photoshop. More details, including how to install the update, are available in this Knowledge Base document:Alert "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?" | Tools, functions behave strangely | Photoshop CS5 | Mac OS 10.6.5, 10.6.6

I've updated our knowledge base document here to reflect that updating to 10.6.7 corrects this problem. http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/881/cpsid_88159.html

Yes. We researched what the changes were and worked closely with Apple on what the solution would be. It affects apps other than Photoshop. No one is pointing fingers, just giving facts: The problem was caused by a API change in 10.6.5 We're working closely with Apple on a solution. Use Jesper's utility, ( http://bit.ly/eJsSEe ) or roll back to 10.6.4, until there is a solution. (Personally, I'd use Jesper's lightweight workaround) We'll announce details of a more permanent solution when we can. Again, Adobe and Apple don't release specifics around updates and release dates.

Have you also been to Apple's forums and inquired with them? Did they provide you a short-term solution as Jesper (who works for Adobe) did? We're working with Apple and have a plan for a fix, but we can't discuss release dates. (This is a policy of both Apple and Adobe). When we have something to announce, we'll post it to this forum and other outlets so users can pick up the fix.

Use Jesper's utility instead of rebooting until there's an update. Details here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3296632#3296632
