It will be delivered, along with several other fixes, in a forthcoming update. We're currently testing all the fixes. We don't have an exact ETA, but we're hoping to push out the update in the very near future. Thanks to those who helped test the Liquify plug-in fix.

Nick, the font problems are specific to Cocoa/64bit api, so that's why you won't see them in Carbon/32bit apps (Like Photoshop CS4).

Dan, I was finally able to repro in-house with your file. The key was saving to a sufficiently slow drive to bring up a progress bar for the save command. We're working on determining the exact cause and a fix. Thanks for your help!

Matthias, It helps. We haven't reproduced the problem in house for the Hand/Spacebar issue but we have some good clues. Which Web Browser do you use? Do you remember what content/URLs were active/visible? What version of Flash Player do you have? Slow scrolling - Yes, we're aware of the issue. I was looking at a fix for it yesterday. Which mouse (brand/model) do you use?

Thanks DrunkCyclist. Be sure to try my debugging steps above ( http://forums.adobe.com/message/2846310#2846310 ) to see if there is another process that is conflicting.

Phil this helps. I'll start digging in more. The more people that post similar tests/results will let us figure it out. I've also heard people say that quitting their browser also gives the keys back to PS. The more data points we have the better.

Can you try and get a screen recording of what you're doing prior to this problem occurring? (Jing is a free screen capture program) start screen recording after you restart and stop it once the issue occurs.

We're trying to track this down. Next time it happens to you, please do the following to help us debug: 1. Take a screen shot of your entire Photoshop workspace (so we can see what panels are showing when this happens) 2. Take a screen shot of Activity Monitor (so we can see every other program and process that is running) (Applications>Utilities>Activity Monitor) 3. Then quit each other application that is running one by one and check see if the problem goes away after quitting each app 4. If you quit all other applications and it still occurs, try resetting your workspace WIndow>Workspace>Essentials and then select Window>Workspace>Reset Essentials Thanks.

For people with font issues, here's the doc on troubleshooting Fonts in Photoshop CS5 (including script to aid in finding troublesome fonts) http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/843/cpsid_84363.html For the people experiencing slowdowns/freezes, have you tried creating a new user account and running Photoshop from the new user account? Have you tried a clean install of the OS (from the OS install disk, not from and image or from Time Machine, with a fresh user account) on a second harddrive? (Like an external USB or Firewire drive)

I would manually select the each of the folders /Library/ScriptingAdditions/Adobe Unit Types.osax/Contents and make sure you have access to read and write to the directories using Get Info and try and reinstall.
