"Roberto has given you a wealth of information, the only area I would suggest caution is in the use of SSD's" Not really sure why you would say that, I have both a Laptop and a PC with SSD's, both have Window's 8 and 16GB of Ram and 1GB and 2GB video's repectfully and the Laptop has another Normal Hard Drive which I use for storage of everything and a separate partition for the scratch disk. I only have Apps and the OS installed on the SSD and let Windows 8 look after the SSD for me, only thing I did was move the pagefile to the Normal Hard drive, althought that's not really necessary if you have sufficent Ram installed. According to SSDLife my SSD is good until 2022 and I have this drive installed for the last three years. I use Photoshop CS6 extended extensively among many other apps, I really don't think there is any worries about read and write operations with SSD's I don't save anything onto the SSD as I have another drive for that on the Laptop. Just my thoughts Gedstar

This should be fixed in the release of Lightroom 3.6, available now on adobe.com, or via "check for updates" in your Lightroom help menu.

Hi Mousegrass,
This was a limitation of Lightroom 3. It's something we hope to address in a future version.

That seems to be the problem. Does anyone now if there will be a fix in Lr that will allow Lr to import these images anyways.
Or if there will be a bugfix from google.
I still don't understand why Lr cannot import the pictures if there is "only" an error in the exif xml. Lr costs a lot of money. I would expect such a application to be able to deal with something like that.

Fair assessment, it would make sense for the layers within a collapsed group to be selected automatically. I just wanted to make the point that wasn't technically the case. When you select a group only (which is the same as selecting a collapsed group) it is like selecting multiple layers that have been flattened. In a way, you can think of a group as a Smart Object, the internal information is editable, but you have to go internal to edit it. The objects in a group share certain attributes, like position and scale, so just selecting the group only will allow you to edit these shared attributes. However, internal objects must be selected to change attributes not shared with the group (that is, the group itself doesn't have a text color, even if all layers in the group are text layers).
I'm not trying to justify he current behavior, just explaining how it works behind the scenes and why we see this behavior.

Hey thanks, Jeffrey of taking action on this matter!
I'm aware of this workaround to hit enter but as Edward said it's very annoying to hit enter all the time as I also use a lot of keyboard to give commands to Photoshop.
For exaple I adjust Selective Color values with keyboard by jumping from field to field with tabulator key and then using arrows to adjust. Then I have an action to hide/reveal all other layers than background to compare non-editted image to editted with layers. Additional Enter to hit hundreds of times a day is not nice ;/
I hope you can fix the problem! I would be grateful!

Though Adobe Photoshop CS6/CS5/CS4 was announced to be compatibility with MP4, people still have problems in importing MP4 to Photoshop CS6/CS5/CS4. MP4 file format is a container format which defines the storage of MPEG-4 audio, scenes and multimedia content using the ISO Base Media File Format, the MP4 file may also contain any number of audio, video, and even subtitle streams. So it is impossible for the MP4 file to determine the type of streams in an MPEG-4 file based on its filename extension alone. If you have problem of importing MP4 to Photoshop CS5/CS4/CS3 on Windows or on Mac, it is better to convert MP4 to Photoshop CS6/CS5/CS4 supported video format MPEG-4.

Hi BartBB, The switch that I use is '-tracebacks' which dumps debug output to a debugger. Its the only one I know of. I don't believe they are documented anywhere, yet. Dan Tull was pondering the idea though... John Ellis uses a command that can reveal them, unfortunately I forgot what it was. Rob
