Not sure what the banding is, usually on inkjets its the head getting clogged, you should be able to print a test pattern from the canon driver window to determine if this is the case. Keep doing cleaning cycles until you get a good test pattern. If you have an issue with the head and you cant clean it back to life,  if you set the quality to max (so its printing at higher resolution) sometimes the banding will go away or be less noticable at least. Lower quality settings always tend show up any blocked nozzles issues more on our epson anyway. Think canons have the print head as part of the ink cartridge dont they?, so if you put new ink in you get a new print head . Check youve got the right media type set in print driver as well. Re colour management, you need to disable any colour management in the canon printer driver, and set the photoshop print dialoge window you have posted to "photoshop manages colour" perceptal or relative, and chose the correct profile for your media from the list . You must only have one colour managment process active, if both are on it will give strange results. I always struggle with pdf colour management, Id stick to tiffs or psd files, find the colour management a bit  more straight forward than pdfs. You might have to reassign the original colour profile of the document once youve opened it. Stick to RGB files as well with an inkjet printer.  ... View more

Sometimes you get the silver "comes out" of old prints and makes them reflective. Try rotating the print on the scanner bed, sometimes its better a certain way round. If you use a BW adjustment layer you can drag the blues and cyans to the left and make the darker, add a tint to simulate the sepia tone. Might be a good idea to change the syntax from "Weve disabled this filter because of an error" to "try setting face enhancement to 0" or such like. Had the same thing pop up today for first time, using windows 10. No problems previuosly with self generated profiles. Difficult to locate profile as photoshop will only open as untagged sRGB, got so many profiles that Ive made for the scanner over time not sure which one it is. As per first post reseting preferances makes no differance. As soon as I use gerative fill it stops functioning. Have reset preferances agian and it seems worse this time, deleting the GF layer doesnt cure it. Seems to be issue with  the "open as smart layers" from lightroom. If I go "edit in photoshop" from lightroom then drag it into the.psb file I want to add it to the double click opens it up as a tab not in ACR. Thats using the same file. ... View more
