If you save it to PDF, each artboard will be one page in the file. In Illustrator CS5, you can even save artboards to separate AI files in one go. It's in the second "Save" dialog box

I can't believe it. Works just great. I don't susally do page layouts in Illustrator, but to number a set of logo proposals to send to the client this will come handy as well. Thanks so much.

You should check if your RIP supports Smooth shades. You could try if you can load a noise filter into Illustrator, it should accept Photoshop filters. Apart from that, try adding "Grain" Or export to Photoshop (open file in Photoshop) and add noise there.

Make that gradient as you like it. You can do that before making the mosaic or afterwards. When applying the gradient afterwards, single squares will have a gradient in them. The squares created by the mosaic function are solid colored.

Double-click the eyedropper tool and edit the options to pick up all apprearance-attributes. You can achieve this as well through the layer panel. Or create a graphic style See manual for more info.

Create a gradient structure in Photoshop or a gradient mesh or a gradient. Convert to pixel (rasterize) if necessary Object > Create Object mosaic, enter desired number of pieces to convert to 2 colors, use Edit > Edit colors > Recolor art

You can not reposition the pixel grid, but you can adjust the ruler by moving the crosshair-symbol in the upper left of the window (where the two rulers meet).

You might be better off with aligning strokes on the outside or inside. It might get complicated trying to adjust the ruler to the pixel grid.

If you want to place a file in InDesign, don't use EPS. Use AI or PDF. EPS is kind of dated.

Which icon does the cursor show the moment you click? Perhaps you have checked "Select Type by path" in preferences. In this case you must click exactly on the baseline to select the text

How are the anchors highlighted on screen? Is the one you're moving a filled rectangle while the others are unfilled? Then only this one should move. If all anchors on the path are filled, then you would have to properly select the one you want to move.

If you're doing a collage of two photos, use Photoshop (-> layer masks). In case you're combining photo and vector, use Illustrator ( -> opacity masks, as Steve said)

326 ppi only tells you how many pixels are there in an Inch. So if your iPhone's screen is about 3 Inches long and can display 960 pixels, then there must be 326 pixels in an Inch. Just forget about this 326 please and use 72 ppi in Illustrator.

Should be sufficient to have the correct number of pixels. But of course you can use Photoshop or any other image editing software to reset the resolution. This won't change anything in the image
