Check your junk/spam email box. The password reset email tends to end up there. If you can't find it there, you will need to call the person/group who manages the Adobe Connect account. They can have an admin either set a temporary password for you or send the reset email again.

Yes, this functionality is available in Connect 12.2 if the Enhanced Audio and Video setting is enabled. If the room is running in Standard mode, then it won't be available.
I know that's probably not as clear of an answer as you were looking for, but there are options for a meeting in Connect 12. Standard mode (which is the older version of Connect) and Enhanced Audio/Video (the newer version). The video background option is only available with the Enhanced Audio/Video mode. If you don't see it you may need to ask the Host of the meeting to change it to this mode. The meeting will likely need to be ended and restarted for this change to take effect.

Per the documentation the uploading of your own background is not yet a part of Connect as of version 12.2.

VIRTUAL VIDEO BACKGROUND (BETA)
Users will be able to select a virtual video background from the Entry screen or from within the room (if they have camera rights).
Users will be able to blur their background or use one of the 9 preset images as their background.
This feature is available for the users joining from either the desktop applications or from one of the supported desktop browsers.
This will likely change with a future release of Adobe Connect.

You should be able to drag and drop the user from the Participant section to the Host section of the Attendee list. You can also hover your mouse ove the user in the Attendee list and you will see an option to Change Role appear. You can then select Make Host and you'll move them to the Host role.

VPN connections are a bit of a challenge with Connect. The audio and video for meetings in Standard (or Classic mode if you are hanging on to that) use the RTMPS protocol over port 443 if you have the meetings encrypted with SSL. Most VPNs don't accept that protocol so you have to split tunnel and just whitelist the traffic to the servers over port 443 to allow audio and video to work.

Try moving your old room into your My Templates folder. Then when you create a new room you should see the old room in the templates drop down menu. It will clone the layouts and content in the old room! Just have to pick a new URL for the new room.

The other condition is that you are using a Windows computer and the Windows Desktop App for Connect. If you are in the meeting in a browser or on a Mac, then you won't see that option.

Ah, make sure your room has the 'Enhanced Audio and Video' setting enabled. This feature was a beta feature in Connect 12.1.5 and is now fully supported in 12.2.
If you are in 'Standard Mode' you should see the options in the Share pod that you are looking at.

The option for screen sharing with system audio is not entirely intuitive. There is a drop down menu next to screen sharing menu that you need to use to share your screen with system audio... Took me longer than I'm willing to admin to sort out where that function was, lol.

You can delete the recording on its own, but the report is tied to the Event. When the Event is deleted, the reports will go with it.

There is not a setting for this in Adobe Connect. All content and reports remain in Connect until they are deleted by a user with appropriate rights.

The option to include closed captions is a part of Connect. It doesn't do voice-to-text captions, but you can include a captioner or captioning service in your meetings. The captions would also be in the recordings. https://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-connect/using/closed-captioning-html-client.html

Some times DNS records take a little time to be seen by computers through the public internet. If the URL was working by manually modifying the host files, that may just indicate that things weren't available over the web just yet. Are you still seeing this issue now that it's been a day?

Be sure you are using the Adobe Connect New app, rather than the Adobe Connect app. Because of the shift from Flash to HTML the App had to be submitted to Apple (and Android) as a new application, rather than an update to the existing one. So, that may help. If you are in the new version of the app you should be able to select the three horizontal lines at the bottom right of the room and then verify the audio device selected is what you are expecting.

Is the Attendee pod in the main layout that everyone can see? If so, shifting back to a layout where it was in the Host and Presenter area, will just cause it to hide. This is because the Host and Presenter area is not layout specific, so Connect doesn't hold pods in that area between layouts. So, you'd need to have the Attendee pod only in the Host and Presenter area across all layouts or in the main stage across all layouts. Anything in between may cause you to need to pull it into the Host and Presenter area from time to time.

Can you do this? Yes. You would just need to have a share pod for each attendee and they would need the rights to share their screen. You can then make the screen share you want full screen so you can see what's going on in detail on that user's screen. Should you do this? It's probably worth testing. This will likely to be a huge bandwidth drain. I would recommend you test before doing it with a class.

I belive the MP4 creation process is limited to 720P as a maximum resolution. Franky, I doubt you'd see much difference in a Connect recording if it were 1080P. Just a larger file.
