The folders are missing in LrC, and they are not in Finder or the cloud either? Do you have backups of these folders? Do you have backups of your LrC catalog?

There are a number of other threads about LrC 14.2 not showing the map. The only suggestion I have is to see if there is an answer in those threads.

Go to the Grid in LrC. Then shut down LrC. Then re-open LrC. Does the map show properly now?

Ctrl-L once or twice will remove filters. Also, in the Filter Bar at the top (press backslash to turn it on if it is not on), you can click on the word NONE

It would be really helpful if you told us the version NUMBER of Lightroom Classic, and not use words like "latest versions". Also, please show us a screen capture of this message asking you to login with your passkey (QR-code). Use the Insert Photos icon. Do NOT attach files.

As far as I know, Lightroom Classic does not show installation messages in a web browser. Are you using the Adobe Creative Could app to install LrC? (In other words, a local app rather than a web browser) What steps led to this? Can you please be specific, step-by-step?

I import Raw images from SD card through Bridge, then open images in Camera Raw and do first edit deleting any unwanted images and rating any images I particularly like This can be done entirely in Lightroom Classic. In particular this viewing and deleting is easily and quickly done via Embedded Previews. I then save retained images as 16bit Tiffs in a new folder, rename them in Bridge and then open them in Lightroom Classic for editing. If you use Embedded Previews in LrC, then there is no need to save a TIFF, your photos are already in LrC and you can rename the photos in LrC if you want.

So please explain what it is you are doing that requires Bridge+ACR before Lightroom Classic? Perhaps someone here can offer a different workflow that doesn't require the extra step of Bridge+ACR.

If it's a plug in for Bridge then why can't I access it from Bridge? By @Vivien Kent It has to be installed. I think you have some sort of misunderstanding when earlier you said "How am I supposed to get my images into a format I can process in Lightroom without Camera Raw?" You don't need to get your images into some format ... you just import them into Lightroom Classic and then you go ahead edit them in Lightroom Classic, which contains ACR built-in. You don't need a separate ACR, you don't need Bridge. In fact, very few people use Bridge and ACR as a step in the workflow before using Lightroom Classic.

Are you using Lightroom (Lr icon) or Lightroom Classic (LrC icon)? What version NUMBER? Translation to English When importing photos, Lightroom recognizes the site I am telling you about as long as the folder has already been created and has saved images from before. If I tell it to create a new folder, it doesn't. He saves them by making a folder with the current year. How are you telling LrC to create a new folder? Please be specific and detailed and explain what you are doing step-by-step, leaving nothing out. If possible, how us a screen capture. Use the Insert Photos icon to include your screen capture in your reply. Do NOT attach files. What option do you choose in the Import dialog box? Is it Copy as DNG, COPY, ADD or MOVE? I also have a root folder created and inside all the folders. Well, this root folder does not appear but all the ones that are inside do. Do you mean it does not appear in LrC?? What happens if you right-click on a folder in the LrC Folder Panel and select "Show Parent Folder"?

Do you mean Lightroom Classic? If so, it has likely chosen the wrong catalog to upgrade. Go to File->Open Recent and try opening each catalog shown there until you find the catalog you want. If that doesn't work, search your hard disk(s) — using Windows Explorer's search function — for all files on all disks whose name ends with .LRCAT, and then open each one of those until you find the catalog you want.

Truncated paths are incredibly unhelpful for this, ordered or no. Isn't that what the "Show" button is for? With that one click, you can find the full path, and the actual backup file of interest. And then you can also see the exact date and time the file was created (at least, that's how it works on Windows). Agreeing with Johan, backups in your Pictures folder is a very bad idea. My backups go to my V: drive (an external drive) on Windows, in a root level folder named Lightroom Backups so they are easy to find, unlike burying the backups 6 folders levels deep; and no one can doubt what that folder contains.

I can change the sort order in LrC to "File Name". If I exit LrC, and then later re-open LrC, the "File Name" sort order is maintained. Is that what you mean by "default" sort order? Does that not happen for you? If it does not happen for you, try resetting your preference file. https://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/

You seem to be confusing two things. Support for reading and editing raw images from a camera Support for tethering from a camera A camera can be be supported for #1, and still not be supported for #2. As far as I can see, there is NO tethering support for any Sony camera with 6400 in the camera's name.

These files are saved on an external hard drive, and always appear when I plug in that external hard drive, however now they do not. The files are indeed stll saved on my external hard drive, yet they are simply not diplayed in Lightroom Classic. I don't think this indicates catalog corruption, there are many possible causes. Please search for the files in Lightroom Classic by following ALL four of these steps in order, and report the results. 1. In the Lightroom Classic Library Module, on the left, under Catalog, click on All Photographs 2. Turn off all filters (Ctrl-L once or twice) 3. Turn off all stacking (Photo->Stacking->Expand All Stacks) 4. Search for at least one of these photos by file name using the Lightroom Classic Filter Bar

In Lightroom Classic , the syncing of images to the cloud has stopped due to some corrupted images. How can I identify the corrupted images, and secondly, how can I then delete them so syncing can continue? By @Stressbter How do you know the images are corrupted? They may be corrupted, but how do you know, what is the evidence? If they are corrupted, don't delete. Restore the photo files from backups.

That page means the A6400 is supported by ACR, meaning that LrC can read and edit your RAW images. It does not mean that tethering is supported; in fact tethering is not supported at this time.

Are you talking about Lightroom (Lr icon) or Lightroom Classic (LrC icon)? What version NUMBER? If @tb23321713 is using LrC (I do not use Lr and cannot comment on Lr) then my answer is: no, the MacBook Air is extremely underpowered by today's standards and would not perform well. (@tb23321713 said that he won't be editing photos on this computer, just receiving them to visualize them, this requires a lot more explanation ... is the camera going to be tethered to LrC? What is it about receiving and visualizing photos that requires Lightroom Classic? Wouldn't the camera manufacturer's software be a better choice because it is free once you buy the camera?)

I recently moved all of my files onto an external hard drive and have been trying to create a new library with them in Lightroom. There's no need to create a new catalog ("library"), and no need to do any importing, no need to synchronize folders, so stop right there! Follow these instructions to move the photos to a new hard drive while keeping them in your Lightroom Classic catalog. https://www.lightroomqueen.com/move-photos-another-hard-drive-leaving-catalog/
