If you purchased a disk, you should be able to use either PC or Mac. If was downloaded, it is only PC or only Mac.. You will have to contact Adobe in that case.

That GPU would certainly be enough for your system, but I would also replace the green drives with 7200 RPM drives and perhaps increase the RAM.

I don't consider myself superior -- far from it. I am an intermediate hobbyist, not at all a professional. But when I can answer questions asked in these forums about software I don't use, simply by reading the manual or with a quick search on Google, it seems to me that there is some lack of effort by those posting the questions.
