Image stabilization is the Achillies Heel of Premiere Pro. Believe it or not some PCs 17 years ago rebooted do to a sloppy fitting CPU power connector. As far as custom builds are concerned any computer can have issues (even Apple Computers). Dell, Lenovo, HP and even Puget Systems do not make computer parts. They buy computer parts and assemble them. An of the shelf gaming PC from Best Buy could have the same motherboard as a Dell Desktop computer. It could also have the same M.2 SSD and graphics card. Does it kind of make sense? Having said that I would make sure the motherboard has support for Thunderbolt 3 as seen in the video link below. https://youtu.be/_nuVsXl70Xk

I think it is 8G RAM, can't remember where to find. 260G free on this D: partition of internal HD. Called Adobe tech help about the lack of stars in search function for rating. Told to call back in several hours. did so, and he wanted to reset preferences, which I preferred not to, as I dislike losing my settings. Agreed to though and it did no good. He also said, despite my 2 messages about CC missing something, if was fine. I was concerned that I would get no help over the weekend if there was no solution today. I heard a dial tone - had hung up. No help and only upset my preferences. And the error message about CC came up again, and I installed a 3rd time.

It's not, related to save a copy, as the action works for almost everything else except in this folder. I notice it and some others were taken with the Nikon D6. Not sure if I tried jpegs from that before.

That problem has been around for me for years now. I mean the one where your crops and edits do not carryover into photoshop. The only way to fix this is to close photoshop and then run your batch edits from Bridge with Photoshop closed initially. It's a pain in the butt, but remembering to do it will save you finding you've done a a few thousand with identical, but incorrect, crops and slider settings.

Lightroom doesn't open on my computer. It says error reading catalog. I never created one and after installing this is the message, so I've never used here.

The windirstat tool is just a helpful way to visually display the size and location of data on your drive. I'm not sure if there is a portable version that does not require installation. I only suggested it as you stated that you were looking to make space on your drive. There may be other software options that do similar. There are also tools that can find duplicate files. Use at your own risk.

Here is edit history checked in Bridge metadata. In earlier versions I used to be able to view changes made in Photoshop in the panel.

I guess you are talking about Preferences > History Log > History Log > Metadata checked.
I can see Edit History in Bridge > Metadata panel, which is just below DICOM, is that what are you reporting? Same information is available from File > Info > Photoshop as already explained by @J453 in Photoshop and Bridge.

I didn't try the suggestion because I restarted or rebooted the computer and the problem went away. Now a new problem. When I open anything, a crop appears around it that I don't want automatic.

I am so sick of the extra time and work regarding my organization of files due to this problem that has plagued me for years and no updates or versions has ever corrected. I have 3 attachments. In the one of Bridge, note that after the 1st 3 NEFs, the time (shot) for .MOVs jumps 5 hours. (10:56am to 3:57PM) This is always the case with movies, out of time sync with the images before and after. When I later change the file names to my own numbering system and add names, I can never see the order taken again by sorting by date. In the Nikon's ViewNX-i attachment, note the correct time for 302_0679 is 10:57am which is correct. I wondered how Lightroom would handle this so I downloaded and tried to install, but got the error message in the 3rd attachment.

Is it working for you now? When a tool stops working as you expect it to, you can reset it:
"To return tools to their default settings, right-click the tool icon in the options bar, and then choose Reset Tool or Reset All Tools from the context menu."

So I did another project and ripple edit and ripple delete both worked. Started another today and they worked for a couple of clips and then no longer, back to zooming out, selecting all, moving up and zooming back in to edit. I don't know what changed.
By @robirdman1
When you have clips on multiple tracks that overlap other clips it will cause issues with Ripple Edit so that´s one thing to check for. The clips abowe the video clip you are trying to ripple delete you posted yesterday is an example of that. The two clips abowe is the issue.
Since those two seems to be logos it is easily solved by locking those two tracks. You must then trim the ends of the logo when done, but that can wait until the final export so it´s no hurry.
Yesterday i wrote "This feature does not exist in CS6." i meant the Ripple Trim Next Edit To Playhead and Ripple Trim Previous Edit To Playhead feature. They have Q and W as the default keys today. AFAIK it was not available in CS6 but it seems that it had nothing to do with your problem here.

You seem to have a lot of issues, maybe something about your system is the problem? In this particular instance, try purging cache for those files.

I had asked what nesting was and if CS6 had it, when I came accross several post threads referring to it. In another post I asked about an intermediate export and you said I would lose quality. Here you are recommending doing so? I don't know why this is in italics, I can't turn them off by clicking the I again.
I previously had started a new sequence within one which had clips of a different resolution. I think they were grouped in the panel at the left and I dragged in and it automatically reset to the correct resolution, or was subsequently in a simple step to correct the resolution. In the present situation, regular and slow motion were mixed in the import. I moved all the normal motion to the end, separated from the slow motions which I organized and edited as desired and exported.
I had also organized the normal separate group at the end, cutting and organizing and when I created the new sequence copied and pasted, rather than dragging from the left panel as in the 1st case, because I didn't want to lose the order or cutting. Is not dragging why they retained their wrong resolution and I can't seem to change it?
thanks.

That was useful, especially about custom bins, so I don't have to keep scrolling, when I use only a few types. So is better to use YuV in transitions than 32?

I don't know how much quality is lost, but since that is the case, I imported that which exported back into the project on a new track above the original. then I played that back while the origanl was shut off. I used the new file to make cuts in the original in the places that didn't stablize well. Am exporting the shorter original.

Use VLC player.
That is normal when exporting a project it becomes one clip.
If you mean making proxies/converting for individual clips you might want to read the article again.

My laptop is a ROG ASUS. All the requirements I can see in the list are met. I don't know about the 4G for the graphics card but I would think a gaming computer should suffice. Where would I veerify? So you shoot videos as well? Does Photoshop apply the correct dates and time sequentially, as Nikon viewnxi does? I can select custom presets, but if I go to a vertical instead of horizontal of open a new batch, I have to reset the crop as it doesn't remember, while CS6 retained for subsequent sessions.

Robirdman,
Sorry about the learning curve. You might want to buckle down with a few tutorials on Premiere Pro basics and that can help you. It's like taking swimming lessons where it's awkward at first, but once you start learning the ropes, it gets easier.
Traits - you can call them "controls" or even fancier, "parameters."
Transitioned - just say "animated."
Wish you luck! Kevin
