You could try making your own. Do the treads go every which way? I'm thinking scan in or take a picture of the embroidery, and make several versions of gray scale - light, medium and dark. Then you can use it as a texture overlay in a style and put color on top... Sounds really complicated. I just looked for a pic to show you... stitching on all of the images is so different. It shouldn't take you as long the second time around . I would start over, maybe use part of the original, try and erase like Chuck said. Create a new layer on top and add new strokes. Saving from Photoshop will flatten your files, so your text will be flattened. It doesn't print as well as it would from Illustrator or InDesign. If it's almost done in PS, I would just output all of your pages from there to make a PDF. You don't need to worry about the fonts if you do it this way. Learn InDesign for the next project. My hobby is digital scrapbooking. I use Photoshop. My text is not as crisp at it could be, but it looks fine to me. If your pages are 300ppi, your book will look fine, too. The simplest way to do this is to use Bridge to drag and drop. If you don't use Bridge, drag and drop from your desktop - works on Mac and PC. You can also go to Fille, Place in Photoshop. To open a bunch of images into Layers in the same image, start in Bridge, go to Tools, Photoshop, Load into Photoshop Layers. I have done a couple of comparisons myself. I hated Select and Mask and made my opinion known to the PS team - loudly. I am happy to report that I am now on board - after using both tools side by side, I get it and Select and Mask (now that it seems to be working correctly) is superior, in my opinion. It takes a lot to turn me around, but I convinced myself. In this example I was able to do a better job with Select and Mask because I had access to my selection tools. I did another example where the results were almost identical - I used an image I teach with - I had previously done a comparison with that same image when Select and Mask was first release and it was horrible. If you post actual screenshots like what I've created here, I will send them to people who can actually address the issue and do something about it. Little hostility issues? What exactly does this have to do with politics? Oh yeah, nothing. In version CC 2017, if you go to the drop down menu and hold shift while clicking on Select and Mask, it will bring up Refine Edge. Why don't do something productive with all of that anger, like a comparison of 2 images, one done in refine edge and one done in Select and Mask.
