Thanks, there were some reports lately about size problems and maybe this is part of it. So you document started as a Large Canvas document. Can you try to zoom out as much as you can and look at the zoom percentage? Large Canvas docs can zoom out to 0,31%, but the problem files can zoom out more than that. ... View more

There was a problem with the 29.7 version that changed the units to pt in Preferences when (by accident or on purpose) something was entered in the search field. That has been solved in the 29.8 update which is currently becoming available. ... View more

You can also do this, create 2 rectangles. One 1 inch and one 1/8 inch Position them with a corner aligned. Turn on Smart Guides Select the small one. Select the Scale Tool Click on the common corner to set the transformation point and drag until the opposite corners meet. Alt/Option Click somewhere outside to see the scale percentage. ... As I understand it, you kept using the file that had the problem, but scaled the content to the correct size? If so, it looks like a permanently corrupted file and copying the content into a fresh document may be the best way to save your work. It is a nasty problem. ... View more
