Why isn't there mention of this in the Release Notes?? This is a HUGE change for those of us actually using this - the fact that I had to be told of this by a client absolutely sucks. PARTICULARLY because we were under the impression that we're "in the know" by reading the release notes! Come on.

I can't be the only one seeing this - this is a skeleton project with just the video on the stage. Unless of course I'm simply using the wrong codecs. Would be nice if this doc actually had some content: Video encoding/transcoding guidelines for Apple iOS with Adobe AIR | Adobe Developer Connection I'm currently using a preset from here: Docs | Robots for file encoding and conversion | Transloadit The presets for iOS like "ipad-high" for example - only plays both video and audio on an iPhone X. Do any of these codecs work for us? You are correct - although it does actually play and you can open it using a text editor to see the actual stream URLs. This just happened to be a link I found that can reproduce this problem. I see the Certificate noted in the release notes for 30.0.0.96 -- not the locale though. These appear in the Application Loader after upload - however, the App is still accepted. WARNING ITMS-90722: "Certificate Expired. The signing certificate "CN=Apple Worldwide Developer Relations Certification Authority, OU=Apple Worldwide Developer Relations, O=Apple Inc., C=US" with serial number 25 used to sign xxx.app has expired. It appears we need both keys present for iOS 11+ to work properly - even though a when-in-use request is made: <key>NSLocationWhenInUseUsageDescription</key> <string>This helps you to set your current location when searching for...</string> <key>NSLocationAlwaysAndWhenInUseUsageDescription</key> <string>This helps you to set your current location when searching for...</string> The following still spawns an always-use request and not when-in-use geoLocation = new Geolocation(); geoLocation.locationAlwaysUsePermission = false;//this should be false by default geoLocation.requestPermission(); I'm also seeing two events after someone clicks "Yes" to the Apple prompt. The first is PermissionStatus.GRANTED followed immediately by PermissionStatus.DENIED Note - this is only on iOS 10.3.3 (and lower) - 11+ appears to be working as expected by showing the in-use prompt and kicking out PermissionStatus.ONLY_WHEN_IN_USE events.

Ah the XML does have mention of different names for different locales in the comments above the name tag, I should have noticed that, thank you. Just made that change to the name tag.. but I'm still seeing the same message in the Application Loader after submitting the app (see below). I'm now also seeing an expired signing certificate warning. We're still pre-funding but I think the best thing we can do is create successful apps that generate high paying jobs for our community. Financially support the teams and projects that contribute to our community - encourage the developers we work with to contribute to our forums to help new developers. Look at what Angry Birds did for Starling - let's spread the word and as Colin says ensure that Adobe is adding subscriptions because of us. Desktop and Mobile APP development is where it's at. Web apps are inherently flawed because you will never be able to do what you can do with a desktop or mobile app - once Flash is finally put to rest and out of the flames AIR can rise again - the future looks bright for us!

We - along with thousands of other teams worldwide - have finally crossed that line for the first time, and successfully launched both an Android and iOS release because of AIR. We're using raw sockets, remoting, p2p, encrypted local db, encrypted storage, native code using ANEs for deviceCheck, Attestation and Verify Apps, Social Network integration, analytics and push notification with bi-directional threads handling image manipulation and large data management, and wirelessly connected microcontrollers. We're rendering our interface directly to the GPU so our UI transitions between views, scrolls lists and so much more as smoothly as any native UI and supported on every phone factor display. Starling and Feathers have finally brought all that Flex could have been - all that it wanted to be - to life, right on the GPU. We have development scalability with battle tested MVC framework Robotlegs -- ALL with NO FEAR of a need to refactor because of underlying platform changes. We can do SO MUCH so solidly, on a single code base and now with swift support, the same family of languages - I almost feel guilty when talking to other developers going through the nightmare of a young technology. Slight smirk at the native developers! AIR was once the goto platform for Enterprises everywhere... Criminals began focussing on the billion+ potential victims that Flash offered and along came Jobs... AIR and Flash were thrown into the same hell, demonized and ridiculed.. nothing could have stood up to that onslaught. That was the beginning of the end - we've just smashed through the end - and started a whole new beginning and it's called AIR 30! I just wanted to THANK the company and the brilliance that have made this possible for all of us developers - stand up and feel the LOVE! THANK YOU!!

Although accepted - I received this notice when using the Application Loader to upload our APP to the Store: WARNING ITMS-90176: "Unrecognized Locale - The locale names used in localization directories at ( "Payload/xxx.app/AccountKitStrings.bundle/Resources/cb_IQ.lproj" ) are invalid. iTunes supports BCP47 but not the UN M.49 specification. Refer to the Language and Locale Designations guide at https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/MacOSX/Conceptual/BPInternational/LanguageandLocaleIDs/LanguageandLocaleIDs.html for more information on naming your language-specific directories." The only thing I can see for us in terms of locale is "Supported Languages". I have this in my app.xml file: <supportedLanguages>en</supportedLanguages> Can anyone shed some light on this?

All is well when the packaging method is Fast - issue only arrises in a Standard or Production build. This is only happening on iOS - Android (cheap low end model) all is well. I'm testing on an iPhone X 11.3.1 | AIR 30.0.0.96 | Feathers 3.5.0 With one library and one line of code - a Worker terminates. For now I've integrated the code from my Worker into the main APP so I can submit to the APP Store - but the performance hit is evident. ADOBE - issues with workers on iOS that were not present in Air 27 and below.

Thank you for your response. However, I am using Eclipse Juno with a plugin that you guys offered as an install option before Flash Builder was moved to Creative Cloud. Not sure what your environment is.. however, I can confirm, that with Feathers SDK 3.4.1 (bundled with Air 29): https://feathersui.com/sdk/download/ ..and an empty image with dimensions 1125 x 2436 in the /src folder named: Default-812h@3x~iphone.png - you will have iPhone X support.

I must say, the project by @el111 absolutely rocks!! Kudos. GitHub - tuarua/Swift-IOS-ANE: FlashRuntimeExtensions.swift. Example Air Native Extension written in Swift 4 for iOS, OS… All the heavy lifting that the "step by step" from Sourabh Gupta completely misses - is taken care of in el111's project. Check out the Part 1 video he posted above: Using Swift in AIR Native Extensions - Hello World Example Part 1 - YouTube Once you get to the end of the video - you basically just need to start writing your swift functions!
