AIR is of course amazing.. I know I'm speaking to the choir here but still it's a sigh of relief for us to know that AIR will continue to be supported in the truly amazing fashion that we've enjoyed over the past many months. It's a shame about Flash but the writing has been on the wall for some time, so it's no surprise but I hope that the AIR team can begin working on, and support the existing efforts behind porting existing Starling or Flex Web APPs to HTML5/JS. Support for wearables I'm super excited about.. I see that it's mentioned in the Community Features Survey​ so that's fantastic! I'd also like to see Flash Builder rekindled, it's still the best IDE in my opinion but at least we have alternatives.. still would be great to see. Go Adobe!!

Fast and Standard work without issue. I opened this ticket: Bug#4036670 - Worker Crashes APP in Standard and Production Builds iOS over 6 months ago - I'd been seeing mention at least in the "known bugs" in each release so I knew it was on the slate for fixing - now I no longer see mention of the bug, yet our app still crashes for iOS in Standard or Production builds. Quick Builds run as expected, as does the APP on Android without issue. I've had no response to my questions on the actual ticket for a long time. Feeling very much left out in the cold here - can someone please comment on this?? Many Thanks!

Seems that every time Chrome updates - this is a problem. That said, adding --disable-bundled-ppapi-flash as qLipp suggests, does the trick. Thank you!

That's a huge relief. I feared a possible lapse into Adobe past for a moment! Very happy to hear this is just another bump on the road forward rather than the final stretch. Shaking the unfair but devastating "flash rep" by re-branding makes sense, just so long as AIR continues on its blindingly bright path into the future, all is well with the world

You need a service to respond to Socket Policy FIle requests - typically over port :843 although you can serve it from any port. Ok, this is a bit of an odd one. Little background: The site is internal - so rather than a second IP to handle socket connections, we're using port 8088. We are also making both a secure and non-secure connection. I wrote two simple java socket servers to respond to policy file requests - one insecure on 843 and one secure on 844. Both appear to be working as expected. My logs show the request comes in on :843 and the policy file is sent. Logs also show the request comes in on :844 and the policy file is sent. If I don't serve a policy on 843 then the policy file on 844 is never read. In order for the secure policy to be read - I added this in one the class files: Security.loadPolicyFile("tlssocket://mydomain.com:844"); The policy file is the same for both. <?xml version="1.0"?> <!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd"> <cross-domain-policy> <site-control permitted-cross-domain-policies="master-only"/> <allow-access-from domain="*" to-ports="*" /> </cross-domain-policy> The error that's being thrown suggests that sure enough the policy file is being read - however, it's complaining about the <site-control> tag and stops?? *** Security Sandbox Violation *** Connection to mydomain.com:8088 halted - not permitted from https://mydomain.com/includes/myswf.swf?nocache=111115102420 Warning: Ignoring <site-control> tag in policy file from tlssocket://mydomain.com:844. This tag is only allowed in master policy files. Has anyone run into issues like this serving secure policy files?

This had been resolved. Looks like its now happening again. Chrome debugger is not showing - not sure about older Chrome - but 46.0.2490.52 does not load the debugger. Can you please ask them to stop disabling the debug install??

Hi Pahup, So looking forward to being able to use our workers on iOS! Ok, teething issue we've run into.. We're using a MVC framework inside our worker - everything works as expected when the worker is used within a web app, desktop app and on android - but launching on an iPad we're getting coercion errors. Kudos on release of iOS Workers!! We've been waiting for this, for quite some time! I'm unable to debug on my iPAD - I'm seeing An internal error occurred during: "Launching Tablet (Debug)". Attempted to beginRule: P/Tablet, does not match outer scope rule: com.adobe.flexide.launching.FlexLaunchSchedulingRule@517ecd20 I'm using Eclipse Kepler (4.3.2) - I've seen from a previous posting: Re: iOS Debug Internal Error The resolution was to use: Eclipse Juno 4.2 Is this still the case or is there a workaround for this?
