Hi Jong, If we play with "anchored" empty graphic frames [we could suppose they're in the right order?!] and an "images" folder with a "logical numbering" [ e.g., 1.ai, 2.psd, 3.ai, 4.pdf, … 895.pdf // I suppose there're 895 images in the doc and I understand why the op doesn't want to do it manually! ], a script will do it! … And you're right: not for free! Hi Derek! Sorry but nothing to see with Ned's question. Imho, a cool way to basically correct an index is of course to play with the Index panel! … But other complementary ways could be cool too as, e.g. find "all the entries" containing "Derek Cross" and changing them with "Obi-wan Kenobi"! =D , create simply in 1 click "sub-entries" or apply char styles in the Index that we don't loose after each index generation! … Seriously! … Everybody knows I'm always serious when I talk about InDesign! (^/)

Not sure it will be included in the next release!! I mean, even if InDesign devs are going to implement a shading + borders, it won't be enough to manage what I show (previous post) in all situations: e.g., see cell with "ppp" text (other case: vertical cells merging)! To do what I actually do by script, you'll always need … a script to make calculations!!! (^/)
