I am using Indesign 2022 v17.2 I am trying to apply paragraph styles to questions and a set of answers in Indesign. Unfortunately, when I try to apply one style to the questions, it applies the same style to the set of answer options. Similarly, if I try to apply a particular style to the first option, i.e. option A, then it applies the same style to the question. What should I do to prevent this from happening? I am going to apply this specific formatting to a set of more than 250 questions and their answer options, so I am trying to find out a solution to this issue. I have enclosed the the indd and idml files Here is a video that shows exactly what I am facing.

This has been a recurring issue in InDesign for many years. I'm currently using Indesign CC 20201 (16.2.1). This error message pops up everytime I try to import a photo received via whatsapp in Indesign. I have to open the photo in MS paint, save it. Then it imports fine in InDesign. Why does a simple bare bones app like MS paint is able to open such images perfectly while Indesign struggles to open it? I've been facing this issue since 2016 in InDesign and always been doing this mspaint workaround. I accidentally turned off the warning that shows up when deleting pages that have content. How do I turn it back on without resetting my preferences? I'm using Indesign CC 2021(v16.3)

I last posted here 8 and a half years ago out of frustration. I faced the same frustration again today. Still I have to use a plugin or script to do a basic inside selection like this? No particular toggle setting within Illustrator 2021? Like it's been more than 8 freaking years since users posted here and expressed their concern for a basic...basic...basic command lacking in Illustrator!

How can I embed videos in pdf so that they are playable? Currently I'm exporting the pdf as interactive. However, in acrobat, when I open pdf I get the notification that this pdf's content requires flash player. My acrobat settings are as follows. The pdf can be accessed from here. Tried this trick. Not working in Indesign 2021. v 16.0.1. This is such an annoying bug! Deselecting, applying insignificant changes to text, opening a new file, nothing worked . I eventually had to restart InDesign to fix this issue.

Same. Coresync closure through task manager helps. So now this is how we work with Illustrator from now onwards? Close coresync everytime we launch illustrator? Is there no method to permanently close it?

Mine is quite freaky heating. No files open. Illustrator is the only software running. I have Illustrator 2021 (v 25.0.1). Windows updated to 20H2 (19042.630). 30 minutes ago I had Windows 10 version 1909 (OS Build 18363.1198). I started facing this issue since yesterday. I have illustrator 2021 (v 25.0.1). Windows updated to 20H2 (19042.630) 30 minutes ago I had Windows 10 version 1909 (OS Build 18363.1198). I faced this issue yesterday too! Never faced this trouble in Illustrator 2021. No files open. Laptop restarted few minutes back. No other major memory intensive software running. CPU usage shot up to 100%. Massive heating of CPU. Resetting the preferences doesn't solve the issue. Please help.

Thanks a lot! It's an amazing action. Will take me hours or maybe a week to figure out how you did the magic. Even clicking on individual steps in your action doesn't explain much. I get frequent popups "unlock all" is not available when the action does it job. Even though, the action works flawlessly. Any way to stop this message from appearing?

Thanks for the file. What your graphic style is doing is applying a new stroke. What I require is to specifically select the outermost lines in one go and modify them instead of creating addtional geometry. Isn't there a way to do it?

How can I select just the outermost lines of a collection and thicken them? Just by click, click, carefully picking the outer lines is a very tedious process. There must be a smart and fast way. I downloaded the following file from the website pimpmydrawing.com. Sharing its screenshot and soft copy. It has a very neat set of thick outlines and thin inner lines. I would like to do the same for the following file. Sharing its screenshot and soft copy (geometry set1.ai). I'm sharing the illustrator files via dropbox. Thanks a ton. Now I understand completely. So eventually there's no easy way to snap the edges of the alphabets to the edge of the textbox. One has to do manual adjustment and there's no magic number.

Thanks a lot for replying. I'm not totally able to understand your method. But what I can figure out is that you are doing some manual adjustment till the alphabets are perfectly aligned. Can you please share a soft copy of this file? I will be able to understand fully your method after going through the settings of each line. You remove the colour for the blank characters so that they remain invisible?

I'm using v20.9.20074. Export images command works fine. The jpegs come out correctly. In order to do that, I have to extract the specific page from the pdf and run that command on it. What should I do so that Acrobat saves jpg images with their original colours while using the right click ,"save image as" command?
