There is a mobile view app for your XD prototypes from Adobe. This will let you preview and test your designs on actual devices. However, XD will not generate a working, stand-alone application that can be submitted to the app stores. What is your goal here with this project? If you are trying to create a fully functional web page/app, that is NOT what XD is for. As you pointed out the combinations quickly grow. Sadly, what you want are more complex component-like capabilities. Currently, those don't exist. Depending on what you are trying to do, either just so a sub-set to demonstrate the basic look you want to show, or work out the development and have a functioning version. No.   Adobe XD will not create any working code. That is not its purpos,rather Adobe XD was created to help you design the visuals and explore the user flows that your application will follow. You will be able to export the assets you designed within Adobe XD for use in your development enviroment, but no actual code is generated. My gut is saying that it will get very complex very fast to do in XD. I think you can do it, but as you map out the combinations you will find the number becomes huge. Depending on the interaction, you might be able to quickly place the static screens into some web pages and wire them up with JavaScript (all outside of what XD does). You would be building the prototype yourself and not using XD's features. This could give you the logical control you might need to generate your prototype. Just so we are clear, Adobe XD does not create working websites that you can publish. The app is meant for use in the design and ideation portion of the process. It is not a replacement for Adobe Muse. From a prototyping point of view, yes you can simulate a slideshow if you need to. But it means creating an artboard for each slide and linking them together using the timed transition option. As to link to an item further on the page, yes as well. Hum. I would try to isolate which artboard or symbol has some rogue reference. Here is how I would try to locate it: Copy an artboard into a new XD file. Save it and reopen it. If no error exists, continue with copying the next artboard. If the error exists, then you can drill down to locate the asset that references it.
