I have been using Photoshop Elements / Premiere Elements since 2006 (PSE v5 PrE v3) since 2006. I currently use the 2025 versions 25. I built Radio Shack amplifiers in the 50's. My first computer was a TRS-80 and now I use a fast PC with an 8TB SSD. I really like the Organizer's file cataloger. The photo and video editors are simple and straight forward. The Face Recognition and Auto Curation are extraordinarily  helpful. The Organizer enables me to efficiently sort thru the 10k photos I often take on a birding trip. Adobe Camera Raw polishes my raw files nicely. Faced with 134GB of old home movies, PrE allowed me to make 4 hours of decent videos. The problem is with the ACR plug-in not PSE 2024 or 2023. In December, my PSE 2024 had a fully functional ACR (v. 15.5.5.0.1595). Only when Adobe offered an ACR update (v. 16.0.0.1677) in April did the Toggle Visibility icon stop working. ACR for PSE is located in "the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\Elements 24\File Formats" folder. Because I had an un-updated ACR on another computer, I can switch between the old/good and new /bad ACRs and see the Toggle Visibility icon switch from alive to gray-ed out by activating either the new/bad or the old/bad "File Formats" folder (I change this folder's name to activate/inactivate). I am only confirming DP's Problem Report. Please push this issue for resolution: PSE Organizer 2021 only prints 4x6 as 3.50x5.50. Custom Print Size does not help since it only allows 0.20-3.50 & 0.20-5.50. And, Scale to Fit Media still only prints as 3.50x5.50. PSE Editor does print 4x6, but this work-around lacks other Organizer features and is inconvenient. This is a serious problem not present in the PSE 2019 Organizer. Vipin: I made a new catalog with 20 photos (198 MB) & 3 videos (292 GB) with Face Recognition set for both photos and videos; Analyze Media for Smart Tags, Auto Curation & Auto Creation set for both photos and videos; Show Smart Tags and Auto Create on; and Generate Auto Creations on. In Task Manager Auto Creations was intially active and with CPU operating at 90-100% & Memory operating at 40-50%. After letting the computer run for many hours with no other programs running and no keyboard or mouse activity, Face Recognition occured for both the photos and the videos, Auto Curation occured for the photos (not the videos), but I see no Auto Creations or Smart Tags. ... Vipin: There is no activity by Auto Creations 2020 in either CPU (0%) or Memory when I turn on Video Face Recognition & Analyze Media but not for photos. There was activity when photo recognition and analysis were ON but not when OFF for photos. I checked for activity after 5-30 minutes with no other programs running other than Windows Task Manager. My video files are: AVI, m2ts, MOV, MP4, MPG, VOB, WMV. All of these are playable in PhotoShop Elements 2020 but only the following can be found by metadata: AVI, MOV, MPG, WMV (I found the others by file name search). ... View more

The face recognition activity in the lower right bar is fairly brief for 14 photos, but Auto Curation still needs more time to become active. Thanks also for pointing me to the .json files. It has been doing this for 2 days and there seems to be no activity in Windows 10 Task Manager from by ether Elements 2020 Organizer or Elements Auto Creations 2020. I only recently activated Analyze Media for 21k photos & 3k videos & Show Auto Curate. Now Auto Curation works for those original files but not for any new photos downloaded since the activation. Thanks for your good advice. I'll try converting them to MP4 on my next project, but for now, I am 3/4 of the way through editing a 6-hour video of these old movies and I don't want to start all over again now since I already had to do that when back-tracking to PrE-15 from PrE-2018 in order to make BDs (I have your recommendation for a BD authoring program to supplement PrE-2018, but it is easier for me to doing everything within a single program such as PrE-15). Since PrE-15 seems to handle them ok (except for being slow in AST), I want to keep them in their original format. Unfortunately, I bought PSE/PrE-2018 in early October and it took me until early December to get a 6-hour video ready for BD burning when I finally found that was no longer possible. By then Adobe told me that my 30 day return had lapsed (Catch-22?). It is taking me another 2 months just to go back and re-edit my home movies for BD on Elements-15. I have been a consistent Elements upgrader since version 3.0, so I looked at the comparison between Premiere Elements version 15 & 2018, saw no reference to removing BluRay authoring, upgraded to 2018, and a month into a large video project found out that I could not create a BD disc from PrE 2018 nor could I open that project in my restored PrE-15 which does have BD publishing.      Equally bad, after converting my Organizer 15 catalog to Organizer 2018 and removing the version 15 catalog, I found that, since version 15 could not open or convert my 2018 catalog, I had to create a de novo version 15 catalog, thus losing all the image recognition, albums, stacks and version sets, and hidden flags.      This is very poor customer service! ...
