I'd love to share some of my successes and failures, but the system is now telling me that the maximum allowed file size for attachments is 9.79 MB (that's really low). I certainly can't attach my RAW files with that kind of limit ... but I'll try to upload to a file sharing service instead. Sigh.

@D Fosse "What's confusing is why some have it and some don't. But the purpose is apparently to aid with applications that don't support color management. That's really not a critical concern.
Just leave it off."
It could perehaps actually help a lot on non colourmanaged apps for users with wide gamut displays, I guess.
The fact that it apparently messes with Photoshop rather negates that advantage, though.
Is it always in the same place in Windows (if present) please?
And always under the same name?
Posts (screenshots) above seem to suggest otherwise, but maybe I misunderstood.
thanks

Deleting the Camera Raw Preferences did it for me, thanks to this old thread and answer from user TheDigitalDog https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/photoshop-2023-will-not-open-camera-raw-filter/m-p/13627925#M711534

Hi @kittee47 ,
Thank you for your feedback.
We are unable to reproduce the issue on our end. If we delete files one by one and undo, it will restore last deleted file and if we delete multiple files at once and undo, it will restore all the files.
Please share the screen recording of the issue at sharewithbr@adobe.com and mention this thread. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Bridge Team

Still happening in March 2025! Have had this probelm since summer of last year - WTH! This issue occurs most often when I click the first spot and then shift+click to draw a "line" of heal range. It almost never lets me move the source. MANY OF US USE THIS TOOL EVERYDAY. FIX THIS ISSUE, THIS IS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!

In ACR I had to regenerate because I then denoised. I don't like what it regenerated. The "Generate" button is grayed out and it's not giving me 3 choices any more. How do I regen?

The reason that nothing happens when you select Tools>Photoshop is probably that you installed Bridge and Photoshop in the incorrect order or you have mismatched versions of the two pieces of software. You must install Bridge first because, when you then install Photoshop, Photoshop installs relevant scripts so that these links work correctly. If you install Photoshop first then it cannot do this since Bridge is not present and no install can take place. I can but recommend that you uninstall both Bridge and Photoshop and reinstall them in the correct order, Bridge first. Use the CC App to install the current versions of each which is essential for full compatibility as they form a matching pair.

This doesn't work. It is not like the spacebar full-screen preview, where you can zoom in closer without a big magnifier over the image. Is there a way to get the spacebar full-screen preview on another screen. Also, when I undock the preview and bring to another screen, it does not allow me to make full-screen.

Clarification on using the Technology Preview- With this disabled, Camera RAW and Lightroom Classic can apply Super Resolution to PSD files. In LrC, just right-click an imported PSD. In ACR, File->Open, select the PSD file, and change format to Camera RAW to open into ACR, then Enhance. With the Preview turned on, Enhance is not available for PSD files so ACR cannot apply Super Resolution. I assume this is by design. Is this correct and will ACR (and presumably LrC) add this capability in the future, once this is a release feature and not a Preview? If not, please consider retaining the old Enhance method so we don't lose a feature. And yes this is useful. When working with older, low-resolution, noisy RAW files, applying Denoise and then Super Resolution actually works well.

Another option would be to click on the "Default Order" button in the "Edit Panel to Show" dialog which should put the Lens Blur panel down below between Optics and Calibration.

Hi, @ERobicheaux, glad that worked.
For what it's worth, when the obvious things that a program does not work, there are several possible reasons: 1) it is a bug. But a bug this obvious would never get out of the door. 2) Hardware incompatibility. Your machine is too old to function with that release that is failing. 3) There is a glitch in your system (this is the most common reason). 4) The user is pushing the boundaries of the software. For example, software designed to be used with hundreds of files at the same time is overwhelmed with thousands of files. 5) The user is not using the software correctly. Or 6) has reasonable or unreasonable expectations of what the software can do.
There are other things, but with the many years I've been helping folks, these are the most common.

It is possible that the original crash was because of the GPU conflict. You can switch off use of the integrated graphics using the NVIDIA Control Panel and/or in Windows Device Manager. Here is some help if you are unsure.

I didn't realise that you were unaware of the tool's move to the Detail Panel. When you said it was disabled I assumed you meant non-functional rather than disappeared! Anyway, glad you are now back up and running thanks to Jeff Arola who realised what was your issue.

If you are dealing with a large number of files at one time and especially if generating high quality previews, then it will cause a delay in thumbnail generation. You might try, in Bridge Preferences, under Thumbnails, checking the box "Prefer Thumbnail Generation Over Preview Generation". This should speed up your thumbnail generation at the expense of delaying preview generation.

So what features do you insist have disappeared? Are you suggesting that renaming a folder is a missing feature? Have you tried using a different workspace? Have you tried a Bridge Preferences reset? This is known to cure such issues. I sound rather like Nelson when I say, "I see no maps."

I have no idea why saving as JPEG works for one file only. I do not experience this. You might also try Photoshop's Image Processor to generate your JPEGs. It can process an entire batch of images in a single execution. It is accessible directly in Photoshop or via Bridge under Tools>Photoshop. If you enable Technology Previews in Camera Raw Preferences, the Denoise function is changed to its new incarnation whereby it is now an editable, non-destructive adjustment and does not produce a new DNG file as before. You will find it in the Detail Panel.

Can’t access my hard drive, Desktop, etc.
This is not the fault of Adobe or anyone; this is Apple making sure that applications that have not been given permission to access areas of your computer cannot access those areas of your computer.
This sounds like you've not given Bridge permission for Apple's protection. Simply, this is an Apple protection issue, not Adobe's issue. Please note that the images here are a bit dated from the latest OS, but the process is essentially the same.
Go into the System Preferences and select the Privacy & Security tab on the left. Note that there are two options on the right you'll need to deal with: "Files and Folders," and "Full Disk Access."
First, going into Files and Folders, note that in various years of different releases of Adobe Bridge, different needs are needed. I do not know why this is, but it's always better to check and make sure that just because you did it for one release, you may or may not need it for a subsequent release.
Lastly, go into the Full Disk Access option. If you do not see your application in the list, click on the "+" symbol at the very bottom of the window. This will bring up a standard Finder window. Navigate to your Applications Folder, find Adobe Bridge, and add it to the list (You will need to add your Administrator's password to do this.). Then you can "switch" it to the "ON" position.
This should solve your problem.
Please let us know if that works or not.
